I will never go back to this location. I probably spent 2 hours waiting to be helped, not because it was busy but because there was no sense of urgency. Returning the truck shouldn't take an hour but it did because I couldn't find anyone in the store or in the garage to help me and once I did I was told I was doing everything wrong. Customer service was subpar. Sales associate told me to back up to the trailer and someone would help me. Only seeing one trailer there I cracked up to it and an associate came and hooked up the trailer. I left and was using a trailer and got a call from haul that I took the wrong trailer and was going to be charged $10 more cause it was larger. I don't believe this was my mistake entirely. Our reservation was at 9am. I had not received a call the day before to confirm. 5 min before 9am while we were on our way to the location I received a text that there was a change in our reservation. When we arrived they told us they did not have the truck and we had to go to the Naco Perrin location. We were on a schedule and did not have the time nor want to spend the extra money to go and extra 11 miles multiple ways (33 total). We asked them to find another solution. We ended up renting a 10' moving van and spending extra money anyways due to the higher insurance and mileage rate. We rented a van about 6 weeks ago in Missouri while moving my father in law to San Antonio and had a great experience. The crew that checked in the trucks both times at this location were very friendly and it was an easy process. My issue this time is the lack of communication and the attitude I received on the other side of the counter. The person that helped us had nothing but attitude to give. I asked about the $50 guarantee after all the issues and she said we had to accept the Naco Perrin truck to get it. I told her that wasn't an option due to time and she threw her arms up in the air basically telling us oh well. I asked about the late notice on the change and her response was she has nothing to do with that. She can't own some things and not others.Amanda D.

A year ago I would NEVER have recommended this place. The previous workers were lazy and rude. I used to go there to fill my propane and more often than not they would turn me away. " can't now going on lunch" , "can't I'm busy" etc. I used them yesterday out of desperation and happily that crew appears to be ALL GONE! I had an excellent experience and I am happy to say the new employees are nice and working hard. The OWNER was on site working. Maybe the cause or maybe bad apples are gone. I should've just called but I got charged $75 for a 8' truck and drove less than 15 miles. Was asked how many miles I planned on driving so I said less than 50 not even thinking about it. So I guess I got charged for the flat flee plus 50 miles?? I'm not sure but I'm kinda pissed about that. I assumed they would check the mileage and charge me for the miles that where added onto that. I received different information of what was available, when I called to reserve a truck, from what was physically available when I was at the store. It seemed as if the phone person was not sure of the inventory. It worked out ok, but I considered to keep checking around instead of accepting the truck option I received by phone. Check your reservations ahead of time to make sure you have the materials requested please. I requested an appliance dolly and find out when I arrived that only the regular dolly is available. Only concern I have is that I was not able to refuel the truck with gas. I only drove the truck 17 miles yet I got changed for 2 gallons of gas. How many miles per gallon do these trucks get. I know it's more than 8.5 miles per gallon. What a rip off.Robert M.

My reservation was cancelled without so much as an email or text message AND I rented using the U-Haul app. The U-Haul rep didn't apologize or even offer me another truck. I had to ask him if there was anything else available. When I got into the truck there was chocolate (I think) on the steering wheel and grease on the seatbelt. In general, staff is always extremely slow and seems disinterested in doing anything beyond their basic job description. They make you feel as though you are a burden. I continue to rent at that location because of the proximity to my home. However, I always know that the rental process will be unpleasant. The return process is generally painless. In fact, a very kind employee in the return lane almost made up for the poor experience the day before.Luis V.

For the love of God, pay your workers more so that they actually care about their job. Holy Toledo. Please. My reservations (first one made a week in advance, on August 13th, for pickup on August 21st at 7am) were canceled *twice.* The first time, it was canceled without informing me at all (I found out by sheer luck because we went to the location the day before to buy a mattress cover and bubble wrap), and then after we rescheduled a new one, THAT one was cancelled later that afternoon! Both gave no warning (although I did get an email about the second cancellation) and no reason; the poor phone customer service guy could not provide any answers, nor did he offer a discount for the stress/inconvenience of requiring me to reschedule twice. Our third reservationâ€”made by him via phoneâ€”finally stuck, but also randomly got switched to two hours late (from 7am to 9am), throwing off our entire moving day's schedule (we woke up at 5am for nothing). And when we arrived, they gave us a mud-stained and broken truck (missing a mirror); we had to ask for a different one. Staff were neutral/unfriendly at best, clearly overworked, understaffed, and not happy to be there. Raise their wages by $3/hr, for Christ's sake. Moving is stressful enough without this hassle and the crushing weight of capitalism squeezing penniesâ€”and thereby every ounce of meaning and pride in one's workâ€”out of its direct service workers. The truck that I rented had an ant colony inside both of the fenders. We didn't discover it until after we had left. I had to spray the entire inside of the truck with ant spray multiple times and it still didn't kill them all. We were killing ants and getting bit during our entire two day trip. The car tow that I rented had a strap that was broken and when I asked for this to be replaced I was told that the strap would still work. I attempted to use this strap and when it didn't work they gave me attitude about changing it. Additionally, I was given a truck with only a quarter tank of gas. Finally, the staff at this location was very inattentive and moving very slowly and this delayed me further. I scheduled movers to meet me at my apartment an hour after my appointment to pick up the U-Haul. My movers had to wait on me for 45 minutes because of the delays I experienced at this location.Morris F.

I have been a loyal customer for years. All I needed was a tow dolly to go pick up my daughters car in junction, the gentleman went over the straps quickly which I didn't understand he never pulled them out to show me, easy drive when I tried to pull out the the straps one big one was broke and I had to get another man to help with a strap to make it work. The wheel well had a big burn on it and I had no car on it yet I have a picture of this and the broken strap When I returned it this morning they said I did all the damage and no refund!!! Are you kidding me, not only did they sent out flatly equipment the salesman lied and said it was not like that to cover his butt. Horrible customer service and dishonesty can't believe from uhaul . The money was not the issue it was owning up to your mistake and paying a refund and they said no I will reach out to everyone I know and let them know how they lied to cover their ads and sent out a dangerous product. The only issue I had was that I came home from Iraq and tried accessing my unit. The key would not fit into the lock. I tired asking several of your employees what was going on and nobody knew anything. I was told I needed a supervisor to cut the lock. A few days later the supervisor was available. Just so happened to be the same day I hired a locksmith. Supervisor cuts the lock. Turns out my wife entered the unit while I was gone, she locked it in the open position. Someone at U-Haul out a new lock on and didn’t tell anyone about it or made a note in the system. So here I am, wasted 4 days trying to get into my unit and $50 out of pocket (locksmith fee). There were a lot of issues regarding the storage for move. The upside is that the manager went far above and beyond to reach a reasonable solution. he called and called again any and every resource but ultimately he made something happen for us. During this time, he had put his lunch off, and was bouncing between assisting many other big issues with customers. It was only him and another worker. I’ve been using their storage for 2+mths now. And every time I come in, everyone is always so helpful and welcoming and in a content/relaxed/nice mood. If they can’t help, they’ll quickly direct you to who can. They actually messed up my storage unit reservation when I was down-sizing, and they completely took responsibility. I had to return a trailer half way through my trip and upgrade to a moving truck and a car transport because my little Ford ranger was struggling to pull the trailer. Technically, because this wasn't where I was supposed to return it, it was a "wrong location" and I couldn't return it. But couldn't figure out where I could return it. I called 1800gouhaul and got transfered 6+ times. Each employee claimed that they didn't have access to the info I needed. They couldn't make changes and didn't know why the previous person sent me to them. I think each employee should be granted access to everyone's order, be able to see all their info, and make changes. Everything is online these days. I should be able to contact an employee in a random state and they should be able to tell me where I can drop stuff off and make changes to my order. Each time I called to figure out drop off locations there was a 10+ minute wait. Calling 1800gouhaul again, I wanted to change my drop-off location because it wasn't the same as the storage location. The telephone line said that I could change it online. I would have preferred to do it over the phone. But after another 10-15+ min wait, I gave up. When I went online, neither my wife or I could figure out how to do it online. We asked the guys at the storage location if we could just drop it off there? They replied, oh, no. If you do that, we'll have to charge you double. Fruatrated, we just took it to the other location and dropped it off. Storage locations are free for the first month. Unless you don't have a round padlock. Then you charge me 10$?! I already had my own regular padlock with me, ready to go but you said, oh no, they can't be that type of lock. It has to be a round one. When I went to lock it up, my lock fit just as well as yours did. That was a totally unnecessary move on your part. The self storage container had two tears in the roof covered in white duck tape. What if it rains hard? Duck tape won't keep the water out.RAY G. | First Impressions

He gave me my paperwork, access gate card and explained everything to me in 15 minutes. I asked him if business was busy,and he said yes, but he was calm and friendly.
