One or two employees to guide users arriving after business hours for picking up or dropping off.. checking with users before canceling reservations..etc providing a tool for users to easily calculate fuel..not leaving fuel at fractional levels.

the web based app is slow and clunkie... in particular having to take a picture of both sides of your drivers license a) is not intuitive b) creates a bigger security risk than taking a photocopy of Like Canadian Tire, seems like U-Haul is not investing in the customer experience... I use U-Haul because I have to... not because I enjoy the experience

The contract that was presented to me at check in was a higher price than the contract that was online. I had to change equipment because the trailer was damaged. There was no one in the yard when I rented the trailer. I dropped then had to go to the front desk to get it checked in.

Not have one person on the till with a line out the door. I had a schedule pick up time picked for 9. In which I was 10 minutes early for only to have to stand in line for an hour and a half. The parking lot was also just pure chaos.

I booked almost a month in advance. I was not able to get the truck from the location that I picked and I did not get the equipment that I offered. Staff didn't seem to care that I was not able to get what I ordered, they told me they were not able to refund me for equipment they had run out of.

After some initial confusion about a reservation that was not on file, a manager I spoke to made sure we had a large space to move into. It was an emergency and we would have been left with a moving truck full of our things had the manager not worked fast to make sure I had a choice of two spaces when we arrived. It was a huge relief and I am grateful for the fast action we got on our Aug 6 move in day. We are long-term customers at U-Haul, and have been very pleased with the service and storage at your facility. We have closed our account now, because we have storage at home, but we will use U-Haul for all our storage (and moving van) needs in the future and will recommend it to our family and friends.

My only concerns were a lack of carts in the rear area where the storage spaces are large, and that company vehicles are often parked in loading bays. It is hard fr customers to arrange to have them moved. Otherwise, we are very satisfied customers and will continue to use U-Haul in the future. We were very pleased with the efforts taken to correct a reservation error when we moved in..

I saved no time using the mobile app pickup option. There was a lot of confusion as to where I should go to pick up my keys. My truck was also double booked so I nearly didn't get the one I purposefully booked in advance. It would be nice to see a more effective and efficient system put in place in the near future.

We were surprised that the inspection was done using a vehicle inspection app. and not a walk around. We didn't notice this during the express check in process so a quick explanation of this would have helped. Everything else was great, good price, friendly efficient service. We were very pleased at how smoothly everything went!

They callled me a mlnute before I walked into the store to pick up tje truck that the truck is not there. The closest one was a 25 minute dive away. Once in the other location, we had to wair 40 minutes in line to get a truck. They have no respect whatsover to their customers. People rent moving trucks for moving houses and there ls very often a timeline that needs to be followed on that day! ( we Missed our moving in and moving out slots in the old & new building because of this! ) This threw off our moving day by more than two hours! Their ‘generous' 50$ credit for the incovenience does not even cover the stress we had suffered because of them, let alone the mileage. In essence, never ever Uhaul again.

When I completed the pre-checkout inspection, I issued observing the damage to the passenger side-view mirror casing. Upon return i was charged for the damage of this. Amount $104. I did not damage anything, but was blamed for it.

Fill the gas tank up. We had less than 1/8th of a tank so we had to put gas in right away to actually use the van.

The truck was used to move a queen size mattress, fit perfectly. We used it for 1 trip and returned undamaged! Now I have gotten a notice unpaid damages. I asked what damages please give me details, instead a bill was sent for $350. Yet I purchased insurance and again there was no damages when vehicle was returned the guy (can't remember a name) checked the truck, no damages so what am I being charged for???

While the vehicle checking process is faster since it was moved online, I didn't find it especially clear or user friendly. It also requires a phone with enough charge and data. It equally wasn't apparent why if I had purchased comprehensive damage coverage I'm still needing to check the vehicle over (apart from the roof and tires, which weren't covered and I couldn't check the roof anyway). This added at least 15 minutes to my pick-up process. And for the third time booking a UHaul van, I've encountered windshield wipers that were not just in poor condition but frankly very dangerous. And the time to discover that they need changing isn't when it starts to pour at the summit of the Coquihalla. Please replace the wipers more often!!

- asked for Mom's Attic van.. got one size smaller; bit of a tight squeeze but got the job done. No complaints! Saved me $10 (I think). - able to reserve by phone! - no surprise charges (opted in for insurance this time) - this was a rare experience renting a vehicle for moving where everything worked out the way I expected it to. Everything was on time; I didn't have any surprises at the last minute (like 'free upgrade' to vehicle which cost me extra $50 on ferry); no hidden fees; employees are always friendly and good at their job

After driving 12+ hrs to the facility to find out that the size of unit is first come first serve- is unacceptable. Then the was the only lock is the circular lock spiel. The unit was dirty- mouse droppings and mouse traps. Empty uhaul trucks should not be parked in front of the loading dock in the most convenient spaces. There were no lights in the unit. Also there didn’t seem to be any garbage bin within sight .

The line up took a while. The approval took some time. Please automate this process and you can collect the payment before the appointment. Please streamline the key obtaining process even further to reduce wait time. I booked for 1030am. But spent 30min at the check out process at the location. Also please provide dedicated parking area so that we don't need to park in the street.

Garbage from previous customers left under seats of the vehicle. Interior windshield was dangerously dirty - had been very poorly cleaned and caused a glare at times that made it impossible to see out the front of the vehicle. Staff here are great - friendly, efficient. I'll be back for sure.

No clear sign for returning, as I rent a trailer need to ask different staffs for it. It is very hard for first time person like me. The staff ask me to backup trailer for proper place, but I failed to do it. Finally he pull the trailer to the place he want. I spent over an hour to return the process and it is not friendly place to deal with.

Not related to drop off location but to overall experience. Was informed at last minute that the requested trailer was not available so had to settle for a smaller trailer. Argued with rep on phone over price. Price on web showed $244. Uhaul rep wanted to charge over $900. Wasted several hours resolving this.

Have rented there in the past attendant had all my info , then informed me I Could Not rent a vehicle unless I had a cell phone ? but could not show me anything in writing stating this ? After stating how long I needed the vehicle for I was told I could not bring it back late? mean while customers adjacent to me were given clear instructions on late return procedures .

Not Regularly checked truck condition. I found the passenger side mirror was loose and moving. Unsafe to change lane. Lucky i have have a passenger that keep the mirror in correct angle. Belt was buckle up but alarm keep still beeping.

The only negative was that when I went there to rent a smaller 2nd unit I was told that I have to carry my stuff by hand outside the building around to where the 2nd unit would be and no use of dolly was allowed or any other helping means. At this point I had gotten the truck returned. so that would have been impossible to be done by hand and on foot.

Aftet driving 11 hrs we really didn’t want to hear thst our reserved locker was not available & that was first come first served. Our $149 locker became a larger locker at $199. The lock that I took off my previous locker was unacceptable so we had to use a loaner with one key or purchase a new one with 2 keys. The locker had two locks on the floor from a previous renter. The operation in the warehouse was short staffed. The silver lining was because it was near closing time the staff processed the uhaul trailer return quickly near the cargo bay. I chose the locker because the Richmond uhaul office ran out out the size while processing my credit card. I chose the SE Marine Vancouver location because they had one available at a slightly higher price. I changed the trailer drop off location to SE Marine Drive. But was in shock when they told me that unit was not available . It is like booking snd reserving a hotel room after a long journey and being told that the room is first come first served bur we have another room at a higher price. hotel room for

Too many rental trucks and trailers blocking driveways and loading docks. I would consistently not be able to access my storage unit because even the pedestrian zone at the bottom of the loading dock would have trailers parked so close together it was impossible to walk there. Too many vehicles blocking the road in front of the office. The area needs to be redesigned so there is enough space for vehicles to actually drive through the area. Why would it be assumed that I am happy to sit in my vehicle waiting for stuff to be moved. Perhaps once or twice, but not on every visit. I have things to do.

Hello, I emptied the storage on September 6th 2020. I brought my stuff to storage last year in July and I was told and assured that there are no mice or rats I the storage. When I empty the storage there was mice poop under the couch and table. This is disappointing. Why say something and not keep up with the commitment. I wAs happy with storage until the last day when I found the mice or rat poop. It is dangerous cause it contains pathogens. You guys need to take it seriously as it involves customer and tour staff health. Thank you

Great, excellent and secure storage. Easily to move in and out. Highly rated. The one thing that could be fixed is the sensor error when trying to check out. It would always say door is open but even though fully locked and secure. I believe it is one of the sensors.

Good morning, My experience with Uhaul was great until I went to rent a truck to move my belongings out to the storage. it too almost an hour to have a 10" moving truck, and upon the return, there was am attentant, but he hust motioned to My driver Ron just park it over there, and lock it up, did not tell where to put key, and got charged $100.00 to have the truck opened to retrieve the keys. Way too busy here. Staff use the loading bays for truck and trailer parking. I finally got fed up and moved all my things out. Loading bays should be only for customer's use.

U haul was great. Stored my things for a year, visiting my locker often. The only downside was getting a place to park at loading bay, and big rigs blocking the lot entrance or exit for hours on end. U haul trucks taking loading dock parking was a big problem if you were not flexible on days or times, otherwise the place was great, always clean, and easy to get to your locker.

All the staff I spoke with were friendly and helpful. I spoke with some employees in the docking area, the service counter person was extremely fiendly - showing me the size options, directions, patient with explanations. The person who removed the service lock on the locker also friendly.

While it is nice to have a temperature controlled facility, the temperature is too warm when you are loading and unloading the unit. It seems to me that it the temperature could be lowered a little to still protecting the items in storage while not making it uncomfortable for your customers.

My experience at the U-Haul storage on S. East Marine Dr. in Vancouver was great. I had no trouble getting a locker, the size of my locker I needed and the staff were friendly and very efficient. When it was time for me to move my things out the closing out of my locker was very easy and very quick. I have nothing but good things to say about this unit/storage facility as my experience was great. Thank you for being there when I needed a place to store my valuables.

I had a hard time receiving a rebate when a staff member forgot to use a new pre paid account I had submitted. Spent 25 minutes on the phone to get an extra $15, but other than that staff was good. The prices in general are too high. Would be better if they were 20-25% lower. I appreciate the $10 for 24 hour access. That is reasonable. Thanks

Only issue I have is the phone service. Every time I fall I'm always put on hold for longer than 30min which I then end up phoning the 1800 number instead. Also need more staff working because last time I was there I only had a quick question and had to wait in a line up of 8 people with it looked like 2 staff working. Lastly they should monitor their storage units better as when I was moving my stuff out, there was a guy a few lockers down taking a shower and changing in his locker and wouldnt give us the stairs.

Found mouse droppings throughout my unit, as well as a dead mouse as I opened my door. When signing up for my unit last year, the gentleman in front of me complained of the same thing. I think this facility has a pest problem. That is my main complaint about the facility. Everything else was fine and the service was great.

However when I moved out your female manager treated me very disrespectfully .. we had just drove there all the way from prince George and we were exhausted and still had the massive task of moving everything out. It was 35 minutes to 5 pm and I couldn't find the key to my locker. She informed me that if I didnt have a locksmith there by 5 pm then I would not be able to access my locker. She was rude and completely unwilling to accomadate at all. Thank god another staff member stayed behind to wait for locksmith (which cost me $200) It was honestly so much more stressful than it needed to be and she could have handled the situation a lot better. In my personal opinion she gives the company a very bad name.

The Uhaul website mentioned that the storage unit will be free for the first month. However, the exact conditions were not mentioned on the website nor were clarified when I spoke to a representative at the supposed location via phone. Secondly, the email sent to me about the reservation specified the store closing hours to be 7 pm. However, when I reached the Uhaul storage location, the location was closed by 5 pm. This caused a lot of delay in my moving plans and ended up costing more than it should for my Uhaul trip due to the extra kms driven. This isn't my first bad experience with Uhaul and it does not seem like this would be the last.

I showed up with a reservation on my selected move-in date, just to learn you don’t have an unit for me. What’s the point of taking reservations, if the units are actually first-come-first-serve? I would have given a better rating if the staff weren't so unhelpful. Ended up having to have to call the help line to actually get my unit status to be vacant. Help line was very helpful though
