1. I reserved a truck on the mobile app, when I went to get the keys the truck had been sent out just ahead of me. This required me to wait in the office to sign a new contract. It also resulted in a double charging my account. The incorrect charge has yet to fall off. 2. I reserved a furniture dolly online (essential to the move). There weren't any available so I had to run around town to find one. 3. After I more than filled up the tank and exactly estimated the mileage, I figured that I wouldn't have any excess charges. For absolutely no reason I was charged for a Utility dolly. Kind of ridiculous. Best of luck guys. -James

Pick up was horrible at the st Claude avenue in New Orleans pick up. We made reservations a month in advance, and were informed that the pick up point was the Tulane location and that we would be receiving a call/text verification the day before pick up (10/2/20). We were not notified by call or text nor email, as was explained and agreed upon by phone when the truck/trailer was reserved. I had to initiate the call to verify the reservation. It was a that time they informed us that the pick up location was changed to St. Claude St. If I had not called, I would not have known this. when we arrived at the St. Claude location the woman behind the counter was not helpful in the least. As a matter of consequence she was extremely rude and condescending. The customer that had the truck before us was late. She called the customer, and was told by the customer that someone else was supposed to have 'dropped the truck off', and that they would have to ‘call and see where she is'. So basically I'm waiting on the previous customer's friend to decide to answer their phone or to drop the truck off, if they even were to drop the truck off that day. She left us no options expect to wait outside in the heat for the truck to return or to go to Deluth Mississippi and try there. we had already driven 4hrs from lake Charles and we couldn't help but feel taken advantage of and unhelped. The woman showed no empathy for our situation. There were two customers behind us in line that even asked her, “is there any trucks at any other location that he can get”, she Seemed annoyed at that, and replied no, yet refused to call any other locations. My 71 year old mother had to insist on her calling the customer that was supposed to drop the truck off again. Which she reluctantly did. The customer did not answer. In desperation, we had to scramble and try and contact other truck rental companies, because we had to leave that evening to be back in our home town for work the next day. Two trucks ended up coming in. And I had to go back inside to inquire about the arrival of my reserved vehicle and trailer. At that time I was told that one of the vehicles was infact the vehicle that I'd reserved. if I hadn't taken the initiative to go in and inquire, I would not have been told anything. We watched her wait on other people with kindness but yet she treated us like we were trash. She was rude to me and my party that was with me . We waited for over an hour before truck arrived at time of check out she did not look at me or treat me like she did the others with kindness . I feel as though she rushed through the transaction to get us out of her hair .

The breaks were squeaky and a light was on I think from not being reset-odd. I had a hard time with the rear view mirrors as I could not find the way to change them-very very bumpy-seems like the truck needed some maintenance. Everyone was very nice at the store.

Worst U-Haul locations ever I have visited so far. I'm an over the road truck driver for a moving company and rented trucks from U-Haul for almost 17 years and this location was the worst customer service I ever experienced so far. The way they talk to their customer are like the you're their enemies. I never had some have any bad attitude toward me like this before in any U-Haul location

No one was there to help. One guy cleaning a trailer pointed to a fenced in area. I assumed that meant drop the trailer off there. I asked was there anything i needed to do and he ignored me. Not only that i get a $16 cleaning fee for a Trailer that was spotless when i brought it back. Sounds like fraud to me pretending something is dirty when it's not. I will make sure to post everywhere I can on the internet about the awful Service i received from the uhaul place in New Orleans. Uhaul ought to be ashamed of itself for even lending its name to a place like this. I will use another company next time if I don't hear back

Lady who worked the counter when picking up the truck was very rude. She was only marginally helpful and begrudgingly at that. The young man who helped with the return was exceptionally good. Professional and communicative.

The policy for uhaul is horrible I have had to many bad experiences, I rented a trailer one time and it was to small for my equipment. I was going only gone away from the property for 15 mins I came back thinking I could just simply swap to get the right size trailer I need. Instead they charge me a whole day for just 15 minutes then I had to rent another trailer. A complete rip off. I have had many rip offs with this company, I just don't feel like all the typing at this point. So I sincerely hope y'all change y'all policies, or management. Because they never explain how things actually work they just take your money. From now on I'll rent my trailers from Home Depot

I was barely acknowledged by the desk clerk, who then told me I had to see the guy outside. I went outside, he wasn't there. When he came back, he just barked orders at me, not at all nice. I was charged an extra 8.00 for a few extra miles. The fact that I put more gas in it than I left with should have given me some sort of credit.

Employees seem unconcerned about the consumer's time. I used this location twice within 2 weeks, although rented from Uhaul 4 times last month. Both times the customer service was the same. The workers don't acknowledge that a customer has entered the store. They continue doing whatever it is at the time. The first time the employee answered the phone, and proceeded to ask what was on the menu. She then ordered her lunch. It also took 27 minutes for her to refund my balance from my cash deposit. I could understand if there were other customers, there was not.

To start off, my original reservation was made three weeks ago for a 26' truck, at a different location, and pickup was 9 AM. When I arrived there was one Rep working and she was not wearing a mask. 9 people in line to pick up. I called in the night before and another rep told me I could pick up my truck at 9AM. When I got there I waited for 45 mins only to be rudely told that my reservation was for 11 and no one at that location told me I could pick it up at 9. At that time another woman appeared who must have been on break when the place was absolutely slammed. This woman leaned over and said “I told him that” When I told her that all of my experience so far has been U-Haul screwing me, the rep responds “screwing you? I can not help you and cancel your reservation and really screw you.” When I checked out with the truck I had to take pictures of each and every ding that wasn't marked so I wouldn't get fucked over later. As I went to upload the pictures the app failed repeatedly, again wasting my time on my moving day. When I returned the truck, I again had to wait for 30 mins while some clown checked in multiple other trucks. I then had to sit there in the truck and do the testing with him LIKE I WORK AT UHAUL. Your company's operation is a flaming piece of shit and the customer service is absolutely horrible.

There needs to better organization at this location. The employees could only do so much. The parking lot was chaotic and unsafe trying to move the truck out of the lot. There could be more shade outside for employees and customers especially during a pandemic. Shame on Uhaul for treating their employees so poorly. I hope you improve your business practices. Five Stars for the employees as they were patient and gracious during my check in and check out.

The person that opens the store to be there on time and treat customers with respect. After she came in late, we were very respectful and gave her 3-5 min to open before walking in and then she yelled at us for walking in. The gentleman that accepted the truck back was so incredibly nice! He looked like he was having a blast and was so incredibly respectful to everyone.

Hire more staff. The woman at the counter was hilarious and fast, but obviously overworked. I only saw one other employee there, and he was doing maintenance of the vehicles, and checking people out.

I reserved a truck for pick-up at a closer Memphis location. I was not notified that the pick-up location changed. After multiple phone calls and $30 in Uber fare later, I finally got to the other location. Both the lady that processed my reservation (which I'd already done online) and the guy that drove the truck up we're not wearing masks, which is mandatory in Shelby County. Also, there was noticeable damage to the passenger side exterior that I had to document. Once I got the truck to the house the load it, I opened the back to find that it had not been swept clean. I stayed an extra night at a motel in Mississippi to avoid driving in hurricane winds and rain. I arrived at my destination in New Orleans late in the evening on Tuesday the 1st. I waited to unload it, because truck was not due back until 10am the following day. Wednesday morning around noon I get a call from the return Uhaul location in New Orleans. I explained my weather delay, and said I'd like to go ahead and reserve it another day. The lady in the phone was very rude, and said they'd already promised the truck to another customer. She told me that I'd i returned it by 3pm that I would not be charged any extras. So I rushed to unload the truck, and returned it before 3pm. Then I received an email stating I'd been charged for an additional day + insurance. All in all, this Uhaul rental cost me an additional $100 in fees and Uber expenses that could have easily been avoided had your Uhaul employees been more efficient and timely in their responses. Customer service is always so slow. Understaffed and inefficient. I book via the app but it takes 45min to get the key from the counter. Please install key boxes so we don't have to go in.

It was a great inconvenience to stop in the middle of the move with threatening to charge me Theft. This is low down dirty. If your trucks are scarce how in the hell you charge me for (2) days and I didn't have the truck a full (24) hrs. Your rate is by the day not the hour. Just horrible I will try to never deal with UHAUL again. Penske is who will be my moving choice going forward. Additionally, this has caused major anxiety and turned my move into a nightmare, The house has sold and the owners are threatening to keep my items that was left in due to the unethical practices UHAUL has displayed. Easily the worst customer service I've received in recent memory. The tall young woman with braids (no name tag, receipt says “Enjoli”) was working. One customer ahead of me which took 20 minutes for her to resolve. During this time she never said anything to me. Once I finally reached the counter, she was extremely condescending and rude, rolling her eyes and sighing, took a personal call on her phone, lit incense (not kidding), and it was completely unable to answer any of my questions. I made a point of being extremely kind toward her and yet she was the rudest person I've met in quite a while. If I was the owner I would've fired on the spot. Very disappointing experience.

Clearly understaffed inside, my check in option didn't work, my reservation was for 9am, didn't leave until 9:45(was a 4 hour rental, still expected back at 1pm) because the only person inside seemed to be doing everything(great job). Because of being behind schedule I rushed through the check in and didn't catch the the fuel gauge wasn't correctly reported so I ended up having to pay extra for gas. The man checking trucks back in didn't seem to want to do his job(I've interacted with him every time I've had to return a truck to this location, he is always flustered, unfriendly, and rarely helpful). I asked him if I had to wait in the very long line to go inside to return my truck, he originally said yes, then “changed his mind” and had the attitude as if he was doing me a favor. Overall terrible experience, and sadly, typical for this location.

First the truck I rented was perfect for what I needed. It was clean and new and drove beautifully. When I returned the vehicle it was quick and east. My issue was the checkin.took from 11:44am to 12:27pm. 43 minutes to wait in a line of three people. The clerk never acknowledged ANYONE in line. A manager and a co-worker walked in and out and never said boo to the customers or tried to help. The employee was miserable and rude. Something I thought would take 10 minutes took almost an hour just to get my keys. I am not sure why the online reservation touts 'Quick Checkin'. I did everything including downloading my license and it was all for nothing.

My pick up time was for 3 o clock for a 17 inch truck . I was told they only had a 15 inch Truck at 3:05. The cashier rudely told me my truck wasn't here yet and it needed to be cleaned. I asked her about the 50 if my order was messed up. She told me the only way i could get it is if i cancelled my whole order and couldn't even use the 15 inch truck they replaced. They were extremely rude and next time I'm definitely taking my services to a different moving company.

The original reservation was for a 8:00 am pick up of a tow dolly at 6210 Chef Menteur, NOLA. Upon arrival there were only 3 available for rent, all were broken. However, there were about 15 tow dollies on the lot in good condition waiting to be checked in. The sales representative transferred me to the St Claude location. You Sales representative at this location was a great help! I was delayed two hours because the experience at your Chef Menteur location. Oversight is needed

When inspecting the vehicle with your phone to upload pictures I couldn't see the roof of the van to inspect or there wasn't a place for me to give inspection for the inside cab where a a/c vent and cigarette lighter cap was broken off. Other than that I have a GREAT experience, this was my 1st time renting and will be renting again THANKS

Let me stand out in the pouring rain for over 10 minutes to check in a vehicle, when I commented one of the employees told me, he had no time for my sarcasm, while he was fully covered. I just said "Hey do you always let a paying customer stand in a rainstorm?" the gentleman should have let me in the garage. Bad form and no customer service skills. Plus over charged me. Horrible....
