My pick up location was moved twice for the trailer, that was not a major issue, it was more just an inconvenience being originally the pickup was 5 minutes from my house and this ended up being 40 minutes an completely in the wrong direction. With that being said the ladies on the phone were very helpful with making notes in the system to give me extra time for the rental at no extra charge being that I now had to have the trailer longer due to drive time, that was very accommodating. The major issue was the manager when I got there to pickup he was an absolute jerk and rude from the moment we started talking. He would not let me talk or explain the situation of the notes that were written in the system or why I was there early. Every time I tried to talk he would cut you off and shut you down. He argued that there was no trailer there for me but I had fiscally parked in front of it. He then finally went out there and saw there was the correct trailer on the lot, In turn instead of saying sorry I didn't realize that was here he questioned and blamed his employees (talking down to them in front of me) that they did not check it in so it was not in the system. He was an absolute a** if I did not absolutely need the trailer that day for moving I would have walked out, and honestly if it was a few years back before marriage and some kids I would have probably punched the guy in the face.Phillip B.

Made reservation for U-Haul Moving & Storage of Memorial City, 10220 Katy Fwy, Houston, TX 77043 and reserved movers as well. Uhaul later said there were no 6x12 trailers there and revised my reservation to 11334 Belaire Blvd which made me drive much further across Houston on the move date only to find their 6c12 trailers were not â€œone wayâ€ They called a manager who wouldn't allow me to take the trailer. The people at this site were terrible and it took them 15 minutes to check me out with a lock. They redirected me again, further across town to 8518 Hey 6 S where I got the trailer but they told me I had to pay again for boxes, tape and other supplies on my original order because the other location should have given them to me. I was late getting back and 2 kept brothers moving (which I scheduled through uhaul) waiting and had to pay for the moving supplies twice with no refund. The new trailers are GREAT! I think the wheel bearings actually have fresh grease. I really like the new safety cables instead of chains, and the ball locks. Much easier to get connected!!Jon R.

While being serviced to pick up our scheduled trailer, one of the associates was blaring music out of their phone with profanity. He also answered a phone call regarding an unauthorized charge and after he hung up, he laughed and said that the manager charged the person on the phone incorrectly. When we returned the trailer on the day we scheduled to return it, they took information down and did not provide a return receipt. Two days later I received a receipt saying that the trailer was returned a day late and was charged for it. We called and had to argue for a refund of that one day. Obviously this is a reoccurring issue that has now become normal. Someone needs to restructure that place.Maryann N.

They falsified the mileage. There was one mileage in the paperwork but when I got in the vehicle and started it up it already had 3 mile past what was in the paperwork. Also, they had less than 3/4ths of a tank of gas and I put it back where it was when I rented it. They still charged me $22.00 for gas. Then when I brought it to them they asked me if I took pictures knowing I didn't since I only had 3 hours to get the vehicle back. This is dishonest and basically stealing from the people so no This was not a good experience. Then they tell you that you're good to go ahead and leave before you get a final bill so that you can get a bill by email 5 hours later showing that they added all of these additional charges and you can't argue about because now their closed.Detrich H.

when i got the uhaul from pick up location it has already few damages and those i took picture and even told the one of there employee who said we know all the damages and you just take a picture of all damage for safe side but when i went to return they still charge me damage cost $250.Muzaffar S.

I currently had Automated payment until my bank had to cancel my card Bc my cc was compromised. With that said uhaul couldn’t pull the payment out. And charged me a late fee. A fault not of my own. I still did not have my cc and was waiting on usps. I emailed them to let them know the issues and a nice gentleman (customer service) said I could get late fee taken out but to call them. I did call them and the customer serv. woman told me she couldn’t take out the fee. Therefore I will be closing my account and the fact that I couldn’t get a late fee taken out speaks volumes. Unfriendly staff. I had an unpleasant experience with the female staff member when reserving the the unit and once over the phone. When I asked for the number of corporate I was told that I could find it online. Being out of state I've only visit the facility once. The General manager Branch Young deserves that position for his outstanding customer service, he is a great manager. The evening shift supervisor or lead staff Yubi Guzman is always pleasant to customers and always willing to go an extra mile just to help customers, I even told her that she works like a strong man. Because of she and the General manager customer service skills, I will always make the Uhaul at sugarland Airport area on highway 6 my first choice when dealing with Uhaul. My negative experience: the morning shift supervisor or lead staff, she was never polite in dealing with me and if she was the only person at that location as a Uhaul storage staff, I would have never revisited that location ever again to do business with Uhaul, I even tried not to remember her name. My trailer was stolen from your facility they said i had to call the police to make a report and from there contact corporate make a report with them and maybe then be able to view the cameras or corporate would review cameras so i did i was on the phone for over an hour and the customer service employee said i would get a call from the corporate manager and thats about three weeks now no one contacted me nothing was done to help me get info on who stole my trailer or for damages done to it the employees at the office are complete a-holes they do not care about not ine single customer the manager there was clueless about what her job role i would never recommend this storage facility me thinking that since its a big company everything would be under control and safe but im sorry sounds like im just complaining alot but your employees there just dont care about there job and or attracting customers when they walk in they are very rude and non caringDavid m. | Overall Experience
My unit was broken into and a bulk of my items stolen like my washer and dryer, 2 tv's and a range of other items. Manager was very rude and not helpful. He was only helpful when the police arrived and requested his assistance in the matter. There is apparently according to the manager, no cameras to see who or when my stuff was stolen. I remember specifically asking the sales girl for a storage with AC because i had a washer and dryer etc and did not want them to rust in an outside unit. She told me there was none and instead gave me these 2 units in the end corner. It really random how my unit was then broken into and the specefic items in mentioned in check in was stolen. I'm extremely dissapointed to find out that some items are missing after moving the items out of storage. I noticed so far that two (2) WESTMINSTER'S CLOCKS were stolen and a box of NIKE SNEAKERS. I also know that the U-Haul Movers had cars which they couldn't have stolen them. We reserved a storage unit weeks ahead of time, but upon arrival were told there were none available. They could only give us 2 smaller units instead of one in a non climate controlled area and charged us normal rates (not the rate agreed upon). There was no compensation.
