They installed a hitch on my Prius. They did a previous one 3 years ago on another Prius. Both times, the job was well done. It took 3 hours both times...wish it could be faster, but at least a job well done with no problems. A bicycle hitch is the only way to go, in my opinion!!!

I'm very unhappy at getting charged $10.00 for cleaning. When we picked up the cargo van it was very dirty and smelly inside, which wasn't caused by us. I took pictures of the van's inside at the time. There is no way that we put any dirt in the van. Our use of the van involved picking up a new TV from BJ's and brining it home. Immediately after we gassed up the van and returned it to your store. Due to the tractor trailer accident on Teall Ave that pulled down electrical poles and wires we were told that our check out and inspection would be handled later because the network was down.

The pricing at your location is not the same as the pricing on the website. The "upgrade" that I received from the 5x8 trailer that I reserved and the 5x10 trailer that I got was not an upgrade. The reduction in height was a problem. When I arrived to pick the trailer up, I was told that there was no 5x10, but the person did finally figure it out. When I dropped the trailer off, it was difficult for the person to refund the $30 for the packing blankets that I paid for but didn't get. The trailer was not inspected when I returned. I was told to put it in any open slot, and I simply unhitched it myself and drove off. I've rented from other UHaul locations and I've been impressed. I don't think I'll be back to this location.

The man that came to work around 2 today is a complete jerk. Shouldn't ne dealing with customers. The 2 ladies that were working when we picked up the uhaul are absolutely amazing. He should learn a little from them.

Yes I hired movinghelp.com and the movers didn't have a car, they instead took an uber to meet me, however we ended up moving ourselves because the workers were over 1 hour late and I already advised to uhaul that I should be refunded the full amount for the truck rental because moving help is advertised on uhaul's website and they need to also take accountability. I have reached out to moving help, they never apologized, for the actions of these movers. Uhaul and moving help.com needs to do a better job of background checks for movers that are going to help people move, absolutely ridiculous.

My 4th visit for the same thing - exterior mirrors always dirty. This is especially annoying as I rent this vehicle to tow and they are all I have to see behind me. As everyone was busy, I just walked to the back of the store and got my own Windex and towels and cleaned the mirrors myself.

Do not like the fact that the wiring from the Trailer light connection for my hitch mount is so tight in each direction, there is ZERO slack. We will see how long it survives that way.

Drop off was the best part of our experience. The woman who assisted us was pleasant, fast and courteous. Wish I had gotten her name to tell corporate what a great job she is doing for Uhaul.

I was verbally assaulted by one of the male employees at this location, he refused to come back in the store after checking the van in and provided me a receipt, he replied they were closed even though I was already in the store and the other two ladies were servicing other customers. As long as Dave works there, I will not be back.

On my ride home, I AGAIN, got a notification that this drop off location had been changed, for not explainable reason. I had to call customer service for the second time to get the spot closer to my home instead of having to drive 10 miles more. On top of that, the 'extra miles' I was promised by someone at customer service was such a vague promise that I had to call customer service a THIRD time to ask them to remove the charge for the 25 miles I drove over the contract. 25 miles, when YOU made me go 30 miles out of the way. THREE calls to customer service and I'm still waiting to see if you will remove the overages. Your hold music repeats that you want to keep your promises to your customers, but 3 times you did not. Not the most fun experience for me.

The man that did my order in the store was complaining about his job the entire time that I was there. He was complaining that he was there for too long, that he needed a break, and that his schedule was changed. The woman that was there working with him did nothing to discourage this behavior. It was incredibly unprofessional how he was acting.

I initially rented a 15' truck from another location weeks ahead of time and signed up to use Truck Share as the location was not physically opened on a Sunday. When I arrived to pick up the truck I could see the truck out and ready for us but the app and website (I tried both) kept saying my order was scheduled for hand delivery when it was not. I was on the phone for just about an hour with customer service to try and get in the truck and talked with two different people (respectively for about 3-5 minutes each the rest I was on hold) and was on hold for the third when I decided to give up because we needed the truck and were in a race to beat the rain. I called this U-Haul location to see if they had a truck that we could rent on the spot and they did so we went over there and picked up the truck without any issues. The staff was very friendly and they turned a horrible U-Haul experience to a positive one. I am giving this location 5 Stars, but would NEVER rent a truck again through their Truck Share program as it is not reliable and customer service is not readily available to assist with any issues associated with Truck Share. It created a lot of added stress to an already stressful moving day.

The staff that we worked with were very unprofessional. There were two women out back cleaning the vans and we could see them on the cameras and hear their voices as background noise. They were doing their jobs and not causing an issue. The woman working at the front desk continuously made comments about those women to a male employee.They kept saying how loud and obnoxious they were, that he should go tell them to shut up and get to work (which they were happily doing). They tried to bring myself and my partner into the conversation by saying to us that they are very annoying employees and apologizing for how obnoxious they were. To that I say, those women weren't the obnoxious ones, you were, as well as being incredibly unprofessional.

The uhaul checkout process was confusing. I took pictures of the van and did all of this stuff, and when I went to finish, the app tried to charge me, again, for a rental I'd already paid for. If the drop off process for a rental that's prepaid is to just toss the keys in the box, you should say that. Also, I didn't use all my miles. You owe me 4 bucks.

The manager John does a great job and has excellent staff. When they're very busy, calls go to the corporate call center. The call center people are very slow, don't know much and often refer you back to the local office, a huge aggravating waste of time.

I came from out of town, I had a reserved trailer, I had to wait in line for 20min. to get the trailer. I would think if you already had a reserved item it would be a bit faster when you got there.

The road work that was just done in front of the location makes it difficult to access the building and lot as you go North. I am not sure how to suggest that people do it but it is time consuming and awkward.

worse experience in m y life!!!!!!!!!!!!!., just look at my record from yesterday, it all started in rome on the phone,they comfirmed res., and didn't have equipment, then Utica tried to set me up with box truck., then some girl in conn. set me up with erie blvrd. Syracuse . she said she had it all set up, when I got to erie blvrd. there was no such trailer(and the two white men behind counter were awful!) the black dude was good., he sent me to teal ave., where I finally got a pickup and a trailer(and they were nice people there). I would highly recommend Teal Ave. but not the rest of the uhaul places I went.The guys at erie blvrd. kept me there for an hour and didn't even have the right rentals!! and rude

The truck that I rented for a 24 hour period smelled like an animal died in there, no joke. I went to pull the center console down pand it was terribly dirty and stained. Fortunately, this is the only time this has happened at this location. I hope this does not happen again and the maintenance of vehicles betters for the convenience of customers.

I reserved a van for 8 hours via the Uhaul website. I was not given an indication during my online reservation process that the van had to be back by a time other than “8 hours” from my 11:30am pickup time. When I went to pick it up, I was told my reservation was at the location down the street (my fault). I got to the correct location and was informed that because I couldn’t have the van back by 5:30pm, that I would have to drive back to the location I was just turned away from to rent one of their vans. The girl at that location was eating potato chips and dip as she was checking me in. The man at the location that sent me back to the first place acted like we were bothering him because I reserved an 8 hour rental. Aside from that ridiculous “customer service”, the process of getting into the van and being able to take pictures of any prior damage, was great. Drop off was easy. Not sure if I will use either of those locations again. The van presented a better company image than the employees.

There was a disconnect between the online order and the pickup counter but otherwise everything was top notch. We used the UHaul storage as well, and found it very secure and convenient. The customer/use flatbeds was a huge plus for us.

The Inside of my 6x12 trailer smelled like gasoline and now so does my furniture. I returned the trailer and had to wait 20 minutes before going inside to ask to please check me out. The guy outside said he hadn’t been trained. Place was so busy. Need to hire more qualified people.

Assistance:When I arrived, women were in the back smoking and did not respond to customers who were waiting. I had to go find them. They asked if I could return van earlier on arrival day, if possible. I did because I could, but then were officious and not helpful the Manager is a good . Truck:lock on driver door did not work, lock on truck was hung on handle and would not come off.

I was told it was open until 7 p.m. When I brought the truck back at 7, it was closed. They misspelled my name so badly, I did not receive an email receipt and had trouble getting a paper receipt. The line was very long for rentals.

Dealing with Uhaul was the absolute WORST part of moving. I hated every single minute dealing with the Uhaul reps. I was told a different rate/location/EVERYTHING from all the different reps I had to work with. 0/10

Overall poor experience. Original reservation was to pick up trailer at location on taft rd. When we started to attach the trailer, discovered that connector do lights was broken. There was another available trailer there but it was bigger and East told that I would have to pay more. Another location 20 minutes away had same size trailer. When I asked if there was any discount for problem with rental was told no, do you want it or not. I picked up the trailer at different location and noticed that the light for the license plate was not working. Again told sorry do you want it or not. I needed the trailer and took it. After it was dark I noticed that other market lights were out. Appears that equipment is not maintained well.

I had the truck for 4 hours and due to the line being extremely long customer service guy told myself and another woman in line we could drop keys off and we were all set... low and behold they checked the truck in past my scheduled time and overcharged my credit card $30.00 so now I have to wait for a call back. My wife and I rented the large truck, your 39.99 special. It had the advertising for the location in its front window and the course of my day showcased why. When I first entered the vehicle the steering wheel was turned at a 45 degree angle even though the wheels themselves were straight which was disorienting at first but was adjusted to with time. The larger issue came on our first run. The truck was fine in the city, and when laden it was also fine, however our movers commented that as they were driving behind the truck seemed "crooked" as if the frame itself was bent. I was able to dismiss it until the truck had been emptied and I was driving back for another load. At highway speed (55-65mph) the truck VIOLENTLY shook and was extremely hard to maintain straight lines. I have driven vehicles that were not properly aligned so I am aware of what causes a shake but this was so harsh I couldnt use my side mirrors because the vibrations were obscuring the view as they too shook with the truck. I am very lucky to have a vast experience driving U-Hauls and other moving vehicles in my years, but for a first time user, that truck could easily have been an accident waiting to happen. I can now see why it was being used as advertising. The location we rented from has always been helpful and pleasant and I do not consider this truck's poor condition a reflection of the staff or company, I would just ask that it be taken off the road or properly repaired and inspected. 5 star service as always even with the shaky vehicle I would still recommend your company and the location we utilized.

My experience was fine at the Canal street location. I had originally ordered a UHaul at Todd’s Auto Detailing on Erie Blvd in Syracuse. My rental was for 8 am. I called Friday, the day before my rental and spoke with a man at Todd’s. He told me they would be open from 8-12 on Saturday. I showed up at 930 and nobody was working at this location so I could not get my rental truck. I called three times and left a message. No response and no returned call. After 45 minutes I had to call the canal street location where they luckily were able to get me the same style truck I had reserved, Very poor customer service at Todd’s Auto detailing and would not recommend to anyone to go there. Very unprofessional and am disappointed in UHaul.

I let them know what the counter with the truck that I used I think had he stuck driver side caliper they said they were going to take a look at it, but it whistled the whole time I drove the truck just so you know other than that the truck was clean smells fantastic, which was a pleasant surprise would definitely recommend you to a friend or family member

My debit card that I have used the last 4 times was not accepted. Bank sponsored cards only now. So I had to pay a cash deposit and be billed $.99/mile. That really sucks. I hate it when I use cash and are treated like a criminal and charged extra. Not fair!

Just a question. when I made a reservation on line, all pertinent info was entered. Such as credit card, Drivers id #, Home address, Phone #. Why do I always have to produce the credit card, drivers license, when I pick up the reserved rental. All information has been entered into your web site already.

I returned the truck with the gas gauge exactly where it was when I picked it up. When I got back the gentleman told me that it was 1/16th off. He then said he took care of it for me. There is no way to tell if it is 1/16th off and what exactly does that mean? By taking care of it he meant I charged you $9.20 for what was probably a gallon of gas!! The trucks should be sent out full so there is no question what 1/16th is. I feel that this is very deceptive!!

It was so busy and not enough staff i got my truck but milage was wrong. Tried to flag down staff said they would be back waited an hour and no one came back and i had to leave with my rental truck mileage 23 miles off . I would be charged for it sense i didnt take care of it before i left. Not happy about that. Tim

I took the time to do express check-in. Upon arrival I spent around an hour at this location answering the same "express check-in" questions three separate time due-to "computer" issues. During that time I listened to the employees bitch to each other about the recent changes U-Haul was implementing and other "problems" that were occurring in their personal lives. Once I was finally checked in I had to drive around looking for a trailer because the employees didn't know where it was. The 6x12 I rented had motor oil (or similar) all over the floor. I did my best to clean it but it still made my belongings stink. This was the only 6x12 at this location so getting another was not an option nor was driving to another location, especially considering how much time had already been wasted. I will say, the employees were nice and polite when communicating with me. However, their personal conversations in front of me reminded me of high school students.
