Do what you say you going to do. I'm in the process of dispute charges due to you all not checking the vehicle in on Saturday January 8. But called and asked when I would be returning the vehicle. How could you check me in on Sunday January 9, 2022. And than call and leave a message at 2:23pm. I'm very pissed with this location. I will never use this location again. Customers service when I picked up was great. Afternoon crew sucked. Guy that was to check vehicle in was smoking cigarette as he was talking. Very disappointed. I would not recommend Uhaul as an option to anyone I consider a friend. The online rental experience is confusing, unreliable, and unorganized. We never received our phone call from Uhaul to schedule a pickup location after weâ€¦. scheduled a pick up location online? When we went to the location listed on our confirmation email as our â€œpick up locationâ€ we were told that they were supposed to call us to schedule it and that the location we were given didn't have the trailer we had rented. We then spent 30 minutes on the phone and had to drive 45 minutes away and then 45 minutes back to pick up a trailer. Will never use Uhaul again.DAVID L.
I'll give the young lady at the front desk attendant on a scale of 1 to 10 the only thing I would like to see a little easier the vehicle when the office is closed. The system kept kicking me out and it was hard to get through. But overall it was a wonderful experienceJACQUELINE M.
Definitely will not recommend and will be sure to leave the same reviews on multiple platforms. Truly understand why people would rather find someone with a truck versus entrusting their hard earned money into a company such as this. I took a pic of gas hand when picked up vehicle then compared that when replacing gas at station not even 5miles away but yet low and behold after preparing for 100 miles only using 54 I still get charged over $100 in what they said was a tank 8 gallons short and bc I didn't consider I would get ripped off in this way I didn't retake a photo after apply gas to tank that day being exhausted from moving and all. I was so upset to see this on Christmas day but definitely will go out of my to let others know that way they don't have to endure this same experience especially during such a stressful time anyway. Our pickup location was changed on the day of our pickup from Summer Ave. to Union Ave. and we were not informed until we arrived at the Summer Ave. location. This was a 30 minute drive across town, additionally there was a marathon and all the streets leading to this location were barricaded. This location never answered the phone so we could ask if they were still open or how to get there. We had to drive around the barricades to arrive to the location. The employees were seemed very disinterested in helping me and told be false information about when to return the rental truck.MATTHEW M.

The employee who checked me out was rude, coloring a picture like a child and on FaceTime with someone else the entire time I was checking out. When I was had questions, she offered no assistance, but when her phone came unplugged she quickly plugged it back up. When I returned the truck, she called to asked for my credit card info and stated I had a refund due to me. When I asked her to explain the charges, she quoted the wrong prices, then placed me on hold without warning and got a manager who was nice and explained the bill.STEPHANIE H.

Wen i made it to my drop off location the managers insisted I could not the discount offered to me. After 30 minutes I received the discount. Next, I was told at my drop off location I had until 7 pm to finish unloading to turn in my rental equipment. i was done near 6 and the office was still open. As I was standing behind a customer I pulled out of line and told I was not to expect a refund in cash although I paid in cash.i was asked for a receipt but had not checked the Renta equipment in yet. I received the run around. After I stated how I really wanted my money I left the office when I tried to come back in I was treated in a hostile manner while being stopped at the door. The Uhaul company on Union Avenue. The GM Crystal called was very unresponsive.I was stereotyped.i was told I couldn't enter the store due to me being upset with the service.i asked to return the key to my truckand was told I couldn't receive a invoice a piece of paper that shows at least I did return the equipment. I couldn't get any respect unless I was the white man in front of me who's received sympathy for his car being stolen although I had just traveled over 300 miles with two little kids and little no help unloading or loading my home. This is false advertising by uhaul and complete discrimination by the assistant manager who the GM Mom when she called to get authorization to go forward with my first month of free storage. I will never recommend uhaul of Memphis on Union Avenue.they so wish washy and so clicked up you can't get your money back if a deposit was made at least I can't.Laquinta P. | First Impressions

Had to negotiate my way out of a cleaning charge. I had swept out the truck before returning, so was surprised when the staff wanted to charge for a light trace of dried mud on floor, I mean very very light. Funny thing, it was very dry that day, and I remained on a concrete driveway. Very doubtful it was my mud. I mean it was so light of a sheen that I was thinking it was a joke, like I was on Candid Camera. So my recommendation would be to instruct staff not to alienate customers over small stuff. It would have taken sixty seconds with a damp mop to wipe up the back of the truck.GIL M.

Uhaul's central reservation system cancelled my reservation because I didn't arrive at the booked time without notifying/contacting me by call, text or email. The location then gave me another truck after a good scolding - with both the mileage and the gas tank levels being wrong. I was told to report any difference through the link in the text message - which wouldn't let me get passed trying to upsell me. Uhaul is sometimes convenient because it is cheap - but as a company the customer service experience is stuck in times long past. I have experienced three reservations with Uhaul (directly/indirectly) and none where a good experience. While you probably don't care - I think it is troublesome for a company's longevity when people come to expect poor service.Eric L.

When I got to the location to pick my truck up, they were very nice and attentive. Do NOT rely on the reservation system. The person booking the reservation does not know if the location has trucks available or not according to the people at the actual location. I made a reservation for a 20 foot truck on Thursday for Saturday morning. I called first thing Saturday morning to let them know I was running a few minutes late. They told me they did not have a 20 foot truck, and that the person I talked to for the reservation did not know what their inventory was. I got it worked out by talking to the regional manager. I ended up with a 15 foot truck, and made it work for what I needed for the job.LARRY B.

My lady decided to press the hold up button. Police came and were very upset that she pressed that button over an angry customer. The whole experience was a nightmare. My recent experience was not good. I rented a van on Tuesday 10/26. I returned the van at 6:30 pm. The lady in the store (Krystal?) told me to leave the keys in the van and somebody would check it in later. I did not feel comfortable with this and took a picture of the dashboard to capture mileage, time and gas. I never received a receipt so I went to the store on 10/28/21 to ask for it. That is when I discovered the discrepancy in the mileage charged as I took a picture of the dash when I got in the van. I asked for an adjustment and the lady working said the manager would handle. The manager called to inform me I could deal with the overage or they could charge me for the keys being locked in the van. I did not lock the keys in the van I know for sure because I doubled back to take the picture after I had left the key in the cupholder plus I find it hard to believe none of this became an issue until I came up there to ask for my receipt and then dispute the subsequent error. I'm not surprised at this situation given the lady who was working in the store didn't have basic counting or math skills, but the manager's response was beyond appalling. I have used U-Haul many times in the past so I won't count this experience against the company as a whole, but the team of workers at this location need to be evaluated for professionalism and competence. Unfortunately their behavior is so typical of Memphis culture in general I don't know if there is any hope.J S.

Remove Express Movers from your contract! I understand that Uhaul itself is not in control of the movers BUT you support them by putting them on your site and in turn it reflects on you as a business. Express Movers was UNPROFESSIONAL and ABANDONED the job. They showed up late acting weird, no masks or professional attitude. The worse part they loaded about 5-10 small boxes and DISAPPEARED I called numerous times and nothing...they just left us after being there for 20mins. Uhaul is responsible to the degree that you advertise them so I ask that you consider removing them to save any one else the upsetting stress we went through. We had to move furniture alone it was a complete nightmare and I will never use this company again if I can keep from it. I also reserved my truck with equipment and was not told till I was picking up the truck that the equipment WAS OUT OF STOCK?? Why wasn't I emailed or called before hand...completely unprofessional and stupid. I choose Uhaul for it's convenient and affordable set up and would pay 3x just to avoid dealing with you guys again. Your location today had a staffing / service breakdown. At the time we returned the truck there was no way to reconcile the rental. We just reviewed the statement and we have been overcharged $26.12 for fuel plus a $30 "fuel service fee". These charges totaling $56.12 are erroneous as we returned the vehicle with more fuel than we received at pick up. Please review the pick up adjustment where we noted the fuel level at pick up was not 3/8 tank rather much closer to 1/4. We also returned the truck with well over the live at check out. Your company had records this incorrectly on both pick up and drop off and we request a refund of $56.12.Robert P.

The tire pressure sensor light was illuminated and I couldn't read the mileage. When I turned the truck in your system wouldn't accept my photos. It kept telling me they were to old. Since I had just taken the pics that didn't make any sense and it never accepted the pics. I had to call customer service to get this corrected and I was assured that I wouldn't be charged extra. Thankfully I wasn't. I hope the truck I rent tomorrow doesn't cause me all that aggrevation. Thanks Bill LittlejohnBilly L.

Friendly and courteous service is a bit desired with the rep assisting at the front desk. No assistance loading the furniture dolly or dolly onto the truck. I wasn't directed to where the truck parked . I had to search for it myself. Never had to face this at other U-haul locations.Brenda C.
The receptionist had VERY long fingernails so it took her quite a while to process me. She had trouble picking up my credit card, drivers license and punching the keys to take picture of license and card and entering my information. You might want to put someone in that position that can handle the job faster so that customers won't be kept waiting while she fumbles around. Also, when you walk into the building there is no indication as to where the office/receptionist is. I stood there trying to figure out if I was in the right building before someone offered to assist me. The clerks were not busy, I was the only customer so one of them should have offered to help me instead of letting me stand there looking around for the office/receptionist. You need to put the receptionist area where it can be seen when you enter the building instead of in the far North corner quite a way from the entrance.BARBARA H.

The people there are great. The truck, however, was missing part of the window lever. The right side mirror was held in place by tape and would move on its own during travel. There were times when I would apply the brake and the vehicle would slightly pull to the left. I am not mad. I just hope someone fixes this before something happens.Wiliam Y.
