Customer service is horrible, They put you on hold, and leave you on hold. When they promise to call back, they don't. When you bring to light a problem with the billing, their way of 'explaining' an obvious overcharge is "we don't overcharge because UHaul doesn't need the money"... Then when they realize that the complaint is obviously valid, they promise to consult with a manager and get back to you, but of course, no one gets back to you. So I am left to waste more valuable time trying to resolve their mistakes. Never again will I make the mistake of paying this company for the 'privilege of being annoyed, frustrated and infuriated.SHERMANA F.

I reserved MONTHS ahead and still didn't get the dolly I had asked for because they 'ran out'. What is a reservation if not reserving an item, seriously, months in advance? The cab still had the last person's garbage in it. The pick-up location was changed the day before my rental. The pick-up time was wrong. When I tried to call to clarify time and location I was on hold for over an hour, twice. I was charged $20+ 'fuel fee' even though I returned the vehicle with MORE gas in the tank than was there when I picked it up. I will never use Uhaul again. I will advise others not to use Uhaul. You will have poor customer service, you will not get what you paid for, what you do get will be dirty, and you will pay for someone else's gas. NEVER AGAINMICHELLEA B.
Equipment wad mostly clean. Had a few small tree branches in it. For next time, more clarity from the rep and faster email notification of no additional charges/damages, etc. Would want to receive the final bill on the same day I returned the equipment if the return is done within business hours.James G.

Very busy and they don't have a good stock of dollies. The truck I got didn't even have a utility dolly so I had to switch twice! I also requested a furniture dolly and they were out of stock. Everyone who requested one was told they didn't have any so unfortunately I had to get an appliance dolly that kinda worked but really didn't do much. I had one problem, there was a lock on the back door which is only supposed to be on there for during the night pickups and unfortunately I did not see it so I had to go back to the location to get it removed, I lost 2 hours of my time on my rental. I feel that this lock should have been removed before they gave me the key..This lock is not easy to see especially when it is raining and you have a busy day ahead of you.LUCY R.

Firstly, I took possession of the van without a full tank of gas,. I reported it to the customer service agent and took a photo of it. She told me one of the guys out will help me dis it on the app to reflect the actual gauge of the gas and waited to no avail. I returned the van back with a full gas tank, and yet got debited on my credit card for $10CAD. And the gas gauge this time that was posted didn't reflect the full level I dropped off the van. The online ordering is cumbersome and you still need to line up when you get to the store to complete your order. My credit card was approved three times and we still had to reenter our card when we dropped off the trailer. The trailer was not clean and we brought it back the same way but the online return wanted us to pay for a cleaning fee. The whole experience was exhausting.D-Lee P.

Gave a below average rating because the return experience left a lot to be desired. Having rented plenty of cars at airports over the years, I have come to expect that upon return, a quick assessment of the vehicle would be made so there are no issues and an invoice issued right away so there is no doubt as to the handover. However, not only did I ask about the return process during the initial counter but also double checked when I returned the vehicle. It waited outside the return area and it was only after a period of time before someone who appeared to be working there was walking by and said â€œyou're all goodâ€. He didn't look at the van nor did he indicate anything else; I asked further about the inspection and he said it was protocol during covid that he was not able to look at it until it was sanitized because of covid. Not sure this is truly the case and maybe I will never know. So fast forward about 8 hours after I returned the van and I get a call about whether I want to extend the rental period as I am assumed to still have the vehicle by the uhaul location. I explained how and when I returned it and she sounded like she was going to attempt to find the van on the lot and then send me a final invoice. So now only 50 hours after I return the van do I see any evidence of the van being processed as a return and a final invoice being billed. Fortunately, it was correctly assessed but it should not have to be this way. Take a page from the large rental companies and their return processes and you will leave your customers with a much better experience.STEVEN W P F.

You do not clean the vehicles, there was a used bandaid in the passenger side with a parking receipt. During covid I would strongly suggest cleaning your vehicles better, it was very disheartening finding a dirty bandaid in the van. We removed it safely just so I wouldn't be charged, all I can say is clean your vehicles!!!!Nelson L.

I paid with debit, and was assured my deposit would be refunded in 5 business days. When calling to check the status of my refund today, I was informed I would have to return to the location (now three hours away from where I live) in order to get the refund, or wait 4-6 weeks for a cheque in the mail. Overall, the self pick up is fairly easy to navigate and complete. It took a while for the online agent to approve the final step, but overall the rental went well. The truck was great, the staff was great. Sarge was great at the return drop off. We dropped off and left and shortly after received our final receipt by email.Annie W.
When I was there, their system crash or the computer went down. It took almost 15 mins before all the computer restart. But 20 mins. before the computer crash I was already in front of the line. There were 4 counter open 3 with customer and 1 just walking around not doing anything. One of the 3 on the counter is also just chatting to a customer. The Staff need to know that we customer also need our time and we are also in a hurry. If they have entertainment my request before the computer crash I will not stay inside their for an hour. Those staff at the counter need to learn more CUSTOMER SERVICE the staff at the back are very good and helpfulIsaias F.

The service was great but when I returned the truck at 6 pm there was only one attendant with a line up that took 15 min before it was my turn. No fault of the attendant but at the return time there should be more that one person cashing people out. Also From the time I booked the truck and until I picked it up the mileage amount changed 3 times and every time it was higher that is not acceptable. I was given an all-in price on the phone and I arrived with my own lock which was a high quality lock. When I came in to rent the van body, I was told I was required to purchase and use a Uhaul lock. That lock was junk and did not even secure through all three portions of the van body door fastener (but my own lock did). The staff were rude on several occasions. additionally, I was taken for the first time, on a golf cart, to see the unit, the driver smashed the roof of the cart on the opening garage door and debris flew at me. The ‘gold’ lock that goes on the left side of the unit is also a joke. One swing of a tack hammer would open it. Obviously this is just a means of pressuring people into paying more for 24 hour access in addition to forcing people to buy a crappy uhaul lock. The location is not secure and my unit leaked, damaging a $4000 mechanical massage chair. I have, over the years, rented many, many uhaul trucks, mostly for business purposes, but sometimes for personal use (as I did to fill up my vanbody storage rental). I did not rent from uhaul when I emptied it out. Because of your unfair, gauging policies, rude staff, inadequate facilities and the generally poor service (staff would not even provide me a paper receipt a email only) uhaul has lost my business permanently.
