First off this wasn't the location that I reserved the cargo van at. I reserved the cargo van at Kennedy and 20mins prior to picking up the van which I was already on route I received a text message stating that the cargo van that I reversed was ready at Warden. I called Kennedy and the person that answered the phone was very rude and kept tell me that uhaul does this all the time changing locations. I have rented many vehicles and never had this done to me. So now I'm late picking up the van which then I was late for all my appointments that I had that day. Oh plus, I had to wait 25 mins in line at Warden location for client assistance. I'm not impressed the customer service this time.

Well your truck caught fire and after bursting into flames roadside assistance dropped call 3 times then 2 days later the warden location called to ask when I was bringing the truck back an hour after talking to uhaul insurance office ridiculous and my rental fee was not returned other than that it was a bundle of joy as well there was no fire extinguisher on board when a cup of coffee could have put out the fire that ended up 15 ft high burning the power lines and putting out power for 4 blocks in each direction great stuff eh!

- My uHaul was confirmed for pickup on Saturday August 19, 2017. - The uhaul truck that was confirmed to me (10' Truck) was not available at the location (McCowan and Nugget). - I was sent to another location to pick-up my 10 Foot truck - Warden and Ellesmere - Prior to driving to the new location, I called and was informed from Customer Service that the 10 foot truck was on the lot and available for me - Upon my arrival to the new location, I was informed that there was no 10 foot truck available and I would have to wait for the truck to be returned - I drove away with a 10 foot truck at 11:15am. Which was a set back for me.

I had a confirmed reservation for a 15ft cube van. When I got there I was told I would have to return it by 2pm. Not once was i told when making the reservation on the phone that I would have to return it by 2pm. Anyways, since I would have been able to, I said that was fine. Then they could not find the keys to the van. Apparently it was in the garage being repaired, so they did not have it available and there was some miscommunication and the van was not logged as being unavailable. There was no sense of ownership of the problem from the person at the desk. I was just told I'd have to go to another location or call head office to get a $50 credit, and person did not know how the $50 credit gets applied. I had movers waiting for me at the move location. Upon my asking i was given two small vans instead, and one of them smelled like a small animal had died inside. Extremely poor service, especially when moving is stressful enough. I hope uhaul staff will be better trained in customer service.

Service is indifferent to customers; not a feeling of being welcomed and appreciated for the business being brought. Often front service desk workers working but not serving customers - if accounting and administrative work needs to be done, best to do it in a back office; if the administrative tasks are not urgent set them aside and serve waiting customers first. On return, receiving agent could be friendlier (mine didn't say a word) and offer a brief explanation of what to do ("May I have the paperwork? You can bring that into the service counter now and they'll take care of you; I'm going to check the truck and will send the mileage and gas levels to the desk attendant who will then complete your invoice so you can pay. Thanks for renting with U-Haul").



Dude argued with me when I said I was waiting outside at the return lane for over 15 mins, he said all other customers come inside so why didnt you, i said there is a sign that says please wait by your vehicle we will come see you. He goes no, all cuatomers come in so should you....i was furious at this response...I have no choice but to rent with uhaul...just wish the staff was friendly and didn't arfue with clients...he said there is only 2 of us, I said ok so put a sign over that sign that says please come inside, he shock his head saying no i was seriously this is how your staff is trained? Oh and the three people behind me returning cars were still in their trucks, when I told them they wont come out you have to go inside they were all equally upset, how is it on a sunday when most people would drop off trucks from weekend moves there is only 2 people staffed at the location! Slow so slow.....rude staff, and argue with clients....

There were long unnecessary delays at the check in desk. If you were able to just check out the equipment in the yard after doing web check in it would be much smoother. I had already booked my vehicle online and did web check in. There was no benefit to having done web check in if you still have to stand in an inefficient line in store.



I wanted to buy a trailer hitch but both types were not in the system so they didn't have a cost to sell it...the ratchet tie downs I did buy took forever to get a cost as there was no sku attached......

The location asked me to make an appointment to see if the vehicle I was towing was acceptable for the trailer uhaul was providing. Unfortunately the location had it's calls forwarded to a central number in the U.S. which was no help. In fact one person sent me a hitch requisition/receipt when I was using their truck and trailer combination! The location did not return calls or messages (even though 4 people were logged in for messaging) for 5 days and I was unable to have the pre-inspection done. My vehicle's wheels were at the max dimensions for the trailer and I was concerned it wouldn't fit. The excuse was 'it was the end of the month and we are busy'. No kidding! So are all the people trying to move and set up appointments that are demanded by uhaul. When I picked up the vehicle there was a staff member sleeping on the counter and the person serving me was more interested in talking about the fact that she had to work on holidays for the past ten years! Not much of a customer service attitude here. The person presenting me the vehicle did not do a walk around or light/circle check or show me how to set up the trailer chains, webbing for the tires, or anything for that matter and just said 'it's all good'. Unbelievable considering I was taking it 4700km across Canada including through the mountains! The equipment worked well except in the mountains it was struggling to get up an 8% grade and down right scary on the way down. I drove emergency vehicles for 25 years so I have experience with large apparatus and the truck is a tad under braked for this kind of use. I had the 26' vehicle with a Triton v10 motor. If you're going to have an online messaging system you should at least try and respond to customers that are spending $4500 and spare them the apathetic attitude.

Aftrer waiting 45 minutes in line to pick up the trailer I had rented online, the equipment that I needed wasn't available. Very frustrating. Also if Saturday is such a busy day, why no additional help to get things moving. On my return of the trailer, no yard help to designate where to put the trailer or even to disconnect. I would never use this location again.

When I got there they told me that the truck wasn't available we we reserve the truck on Monday I mean Tuesday and went on Saturday to get it and was told there was no truck the gentleman at the next counter overheard me getting upset because we had to reserve elevators and he happened to get have a truck that was too big so he said that I could take that so it worked out in the end but whoever took my reservation should have called me to tell me that there was no truck available

Being a former employee (fmt) I know the detail.... Id suggest giving out the newer trucks as the one I was offered seemed as it was two days before being sent to auction. It was beaten up smelled like something died in it. Adding to that the exterior wasnt clean if it was I couldnt tell for the dent scrapes etc. The livery wasnt even on one side of it! It was boarderline non road worthy as it was all over the road at highway speed. (Serious front end issues) The passenger side mirror was broken and was vibrating constantly. I noticed an internal note when the order was being processed... regarding a police report. Your employee couldve offered anyone of the other three available as I told her I was going over 400kms with it. Maybe she wasnt listening to me? She didnt finish walking me to the truck let alone going over the damages on it or back it out of the spot. Not the Uhaul I remember! Very poor representation of the company. Your saving grace was the lady that closed the sale. She was very understanding and helpful. You ( after hours page) truly is a joke as no one in their right mind should have to watch a video on youtube explaining how to do something after a long day. When a multinational company's website doesnt make available a one click option on their webpage, let alone a free wifi spot for watching youtube videos. How I feel about my experience....very dissappointed is an understatement. Sincerely Jay Wright

I have always use U Haul in the past and I have always had a bad experience but this time it was really bad. I will never use U Haul again because the customer service was extremely disgusting and it made me feel so sad that I had to pay this company my hard earned money.
