The venue had posted hours until 5 pm. We arrived at 4:45 and it was closed. I am not a fan of the mobile check in. There are fuel return discrepancies and it will be a hassle to get fixed.

The man who assisted me had a bad attitude. When I brought the truck back, I left it out front—in the exact same spot where he had handed it over to me—but, with a bad attitude, he made me go back and park the truck in a different spot of his choosing.
I had also rented an appliance hand truck, but they didn't have it. I had to take the one that man gave me because I had no other options; he told me to go to another U-Haul location since they didn't have it there. And I had made a reservation for this the day before.

My experience was good until I received my receipt. Although I put gas in the truck prior to returning, I unfortunately didn’t take pictures of the gas before and after so they charged me $33 for 5 gallons of gas! Pretty much told me without proof I’m screwed and there is nothing they can do for me. They did say they hope I have a good day!

Thanks Uhaul for another seamless move. 20 years in the military and countless moves Uhaul always comes through. The 5x8 trailer has excellent balance which alleviates tounge weight or lift. Just have to load it right.

The truck rented was long past due for retirement with 110K miles on the clock. When I first started the engine, I thought they had given me a diesel. Nope, just an old gas V8 with a couple of bad lifters clattering away. Of course, the poor engine condition didn't help with fuel economy. This truck was not what I would typically expect from U-Haul.

I originally ordered a uhaul from the Sheldon Marathon 8212 Sheldon Rd Tampa, FL 33615 location. It's located in a gas station. I asked the employee there (who is not affiliated with uhaul) where to pick up the the truck. He told me no one was there working for uhaul. This is apparently normal for them not to show up on Sundays even if they've got active rentals. He was immediately annoyed that he had to contact the supervisor, while the phone was ringing, he told me he's probably not going to pick up and that I should call customer service.
I called uhaul costumer service and the solution was transfer the rental to another location. Which was fine.
Dealing with the first location was so anxiety inducing. Of course I was on a schedule. Yes, I was able to transfer the rental to a way better location. But I will never use uhaul again. If you check any reviews for the marathon location you'll see they are all awful. Please do something about the way they conduct business. This was the biggest waste of time and money I've dealt with in a long time.

The vehicles wiper blades were absolutely useless and needed to be replaced. Also, when I picked up the vehicle and the auto transport, they never showed me how to use it so I struggled for almost an hour trying to figure it out because the wheel straps were setup in a way that was totally incorrect which caused a ton of confusion. That, and the vehicles overall maintenance was poor. The 10ft box van pulled heavily to the right (when it was empty, no vehicle on the trailer) so driving it made it extremely difficult. Overall the vehicle just wasn't easy to operate (not to mention it was dirty when we picked it up (dirty/used napkins and trash in the door panel).

February 28, 2026 reserved by Uhual online for a one way move at $150 but thank goodness I talked to the gal who called the day before and changed it to a local move since it only was 20 mile move there and back! Saved myself $80. Total for 10ft truck, save move, dolly, and 20 miles was $74! Everyone was king and nice and made things easy to check in and drop off!

Hello! The truck broke down, I had only walked 60 miles and not the 70 miles I paid for.
I took the truck with a little more than 1/4 of gasoline and when it broke it was with just over 1/2 tank.
I was also charged $48.27 more, I think for late delivery of the truck, but I didn't deliver it because the truck broke down.
The truck broke down with all my changes inside at 6pm on February 15, I was 8 miles from my new house. The tow truck only arrived at 9pm, I waited for 3 hours.
I have pictures of everything, including the odometer.
In addition to all the setbacks and headaches I had because of the lack of maintenance of the truck you rented me.
I look forward to hearing from you and I hope to receive an adequate reimbursement of the amount I paid.

3/8 gas was indicated before I started, I didn’t see any movement of gas after driving total 15 miles and got charged for 2gallon for more than $10. They should have told me what is the gas mileage per gallon, so I can accurately fill gas with overfill it.

ONLY issue is the link you send for us to "upload photos of the truck" with YOUR app or whatever the heck it is. NO instructions on how to use it -- so Uhaul, don't just assume EVERYBODY has the phone to use your photo upload. It was taking forever, I said forget it and used my own phone as an agent walked over....we walked the truck together (wow, there's a great idea!!) and talked of the marks on the truck. THAT took all of 2 minutes, and off I went.

The online process for booking was seamless and very easy. I’m glad I walked the property first before booking. Equipment inventory can make things tricky when accessing outside units. It was after hours when I moved in and the location I picked didn’t pose amy equipment interference. I’m sure during the day staff can accommodate any equipment moves as they use much of the area for storing extra trucks and trailers which is constantly changing. Otherwise, a good experience.

I used this facility to secure storage for my 1977 Corvette show car. I initially sought a secure, enclosed "personal" garage spot, but was sold on an outdoor, covered space between RVs despite my reservations about the security for a classic vehicle. I reluctantly agreed to the arrangement to make it work.
My initial issue & Extreme Stress was that the agreement held for a couple of months until a severe issue arose. While I was out of state dealing with the immediate passing of my father, I began receiving a barrage of harassing calls and texts from the facility. They claimed I was in the wrong spot and had to move my Corvette immediately because a "regular seasonal" customer needed it.
Despite my clear explanation that I was grieving and would be back in 5 days, the calls and texts continued relentlessly, adding immense stress during an already difficult time.
I was a nervous wreck about spot mismanagement & Safety Risk of my Show Car while dealing with a life altering family situation.....
Upon my return, the situation worsened. The number I was originally assigned was now occupied by a boat on a trailer. I was simply directed to park my Corvette in a random, unnumbered corner space. This random assignment put my classic car at extreme risk; it was parked precariously close to the boat's location, making a collision highly likely when the boat's owner returned.
The space I was originally assigned was completely empty for days after I was forced to move, leading me to believe they were attempting to hold the spot open for a larger, more lucrative RV rental that never materialized.
My conclusion is this entire experience was deeply unprofessional. The lack of empathy shown during a family emergency, the harassment via continuous communication while I was away, and the final assignment of an unsafe, unnumbered parking location are unacceptable, especially for a premium storage service. I was forced to hastily remove my vehicle to ensure its safety and was then subjected to further ignored harassing calls. I would not recommend this facility to anyone, especially for storing valuable or classic vehicles.

Good people work here. My Jeep wrangler lived in the storage here for 3 years and never had any issue with security. For a jeep with a soft top, any one can open it and steal items inside. I know because the jeep was broken into once in Tampa, and another time in St. Pete. But never in the uhaul storage. If I ever need to park another vehicle, this storage in West Chase Uhaul is top notch. I want to thank the staff for doing such a great job of watching after the "Green Hulk" for three years. Thank you to the great people at the West Chase Uhaul.

The online reservation was very easy to use and helpful.
I would like to note that the U-haul app itself is not so great. I have tried to use it to return a trailer I rented at a drop off location. The app, just freezes up. Try following steps within the app, example take a picture, and freezes. I tried for 5 minutes, thankfully an attendant at the location I was dropping off at came out and handled it for me. The app sucks.

There was a gentleman that was more than extremely rude to my sister who is also listed on the unit.

Excellent facility, especially the bathrooms.
Only complaint I have is the hallway lights are on a motion timer so if you’re inside your unit the lights go out. So it’s a constant game of going out into the hallways and waving your arms to turn the lights back on.

El manager Dominique es una persona que el día sábado 25 estaba bastante estresado , su trato a diferencia de los demás empleados es muy pero muy malo , su actuación era como la de una persona molesta , su velocidad para resolver era algo asi como apúrate cliente que ya quiero terminar , y no una postura como quiero agradar al cliente Y que se sienta satisfecho , el como manager no sabia que yo había rentado un espacio allí aparte del truck , al hacer mi reserva les comenté que no me llevaría mas de 5 horas . Sucedió que llegue más tarde a buscar el truck , y por ende me pase de las horas de reserva . Al llegar le dijo al joven Juan , le cobras un recargo por no haber llegado a tiempo . Con una cara gesto y acción como si hubiese cometido un delito federal . En fin de resto el trato general de todos los que están por debajo de el fue muy pero muy atento y amable . Respondieron mis preguntas con posturas correctas de una persona que están dedicadas a dar el mejor servicio . Para con los clientes de forma general .

Storage was fine, but renting uhaul was another story to move the storage renting the truck had NO AIR CONDITIONING AND THE CAB OF TRUCK SMELLED LIKE CAT PEE- I let the local manager know of these concerns was addressed they were dismissed.

The storage unit was clean and it was located on ground floor which was convenient for movers to load the furniture. Only issue I can recollect was I had to wait couple of hours to receive the storage unit as the other tenants were still moving out, in essence I was reserved the unit but it wasn't available yet to move, just a mistake by representative who reserved the unit.

Since we moved from NYC to Florida we have had an used UHAUL until NOW! It is sad and disheartening that employees professionalism and customer care has completely disappeared from this UHAUL location. The failure by managers and employees to properly, effectively and professionally take care of issues has cause us to remove any all accounts and no longer do business with UHAUL. Further with same concept in mind we have also informed any and all those we recommended to do the same-as some have already notice the unsatisfactory situations. My movers could not fit all of my items in the storage space I chose. I walked around front, pulled the door and they had closed. As I walked to the car an employee came and let me in. Brian A., the manager I believe, hung around and set me up with another unit for my remaining items. He didn’t have to do that and I am grateful for his kind actions. This isn’t the first time I’ve used their services and this location never disappoints. All the employees I’ve encountered have been friendly and helpful. They carry my boxes to the car and all that. Uhaul rates are to expensive.. This location their alarm goes off periodically just to remind you that you have a heart and scares the crap out of you every single time.

Your staff changed my lock, When I asked if it had been changed the guy at the counter had an attitude and said “no we don’t do that”. When in fact UHaul did change it. Worst customer service ever!
