My original date for installation was 8/14/21. I was called the day before and said that the parts where not in. I needed it installed before the Labor Day weekend. I was not able to bring a camper on our trip. I kept calling and finally went into the location last Saturday 9/11/21. They told me the part was finally in and scheduled me for yesterday 9/15/21. I asked why I wasn't contacted. When I arrived at 7am and dropped off my car, I was called a few minutes later and was told the part was not in. I came back to the location. My ride to work left. They then told that the part was in so they could do it, but I was stranded and late for work after my son picked me up. I am so glad that it is done, but I was not communicated with effectively.Melinda T.

I signed my contract repeatedly and it never stuck in the system until I did it online. I repeatedly changed my address and left a credit card but never was charged as expected. The store locked my storage unit and would not reply to my messages until corporate got involved. I know times are hard but this was ridiculous. The truck ran horribly. It was misfiring trying to climb any hills, the power steering pump was going bad, the brakes were horrible and the rear axle was leaking gear oil so bad that the entire rear box wreaked of gear oil.COREY H.

Fuel was noted as 7/8 of a tank, but was actually closer to 3/4. The truck got good fuel mileage, so not a major complaint, but I still returned it with well over 7/8 of a tank to avoid getting hit with $4.50 a gallon charge.RICHARD H.

I want to start by saying that the no contact return with the pictures is super convenient! I was pressed for time and by being able to return the van early I was able to make my other appointments. The van was very clean and the directions for the return were very clear and easy to follow. For this I gave the review an above above average for the location. For the customer service the review would be poor. I had a few questions and the man answered in a very condescending way and even belched as I was walking away. I really thought that I was on a tv show and they were waiting for my reaction. If I hadn't taken the day off from work I would of left without the van. I'm sure their are friendly and hard working people at this location but this guy shouldn't represent your company. Thank you.CHRISTOPHER R.
The gentleman checking in the truck just the way he should off then preceded to tell us we went over the miles, and it would be $55. No one at the Waterville or the 1 800 number ever mentioned miles we only talked about the flat rate. No a good experienceCarvell C.

I felt extremely sad and frustrated towards the 1 guy working there by himself with looked like a very busy Saturday. I almost helped him when I returned the truck. When I picked up the truck the employee seemed agitated and was a little bit unfriendly. Now I know why because this was going to be a day from hell. When I returned truck he seemed to be in a better mood and I got him to laugh. He was doing the best he could with what he had which was nada, zero, zilch. He should be praisedDANIEL B.

There was a problem when I changed the pick-u time. It cancelled the reservation rather than modifying it. In the proceeding call with your contact center I questioned how that could happen. I was only changing the pick-up time and not the drop-off one. It was for just the use for just a day (morning to afternoon). I was truly confused on how that could happen. In the discussion to explain that, your person started shouting at me. She may have been frustrated with my non-understanding. She ended the conversation with a hang up. When I called back, the person that I talked with was very helpful. She explained what had happened and assisted in getting a comparable rental.JOHN D.

I made an appointment three weeks out to install a wiring harness. You asked for the type of car and year and even identified a special part needed to complete the job. I showed up three weeks later at the appointed time only to find out that the technician would not be arriving for another hour. After some discussion I was to return and hour later. Upon return found that they were too swamped to complete the order. we agreed I'd return two days later when staff would be there to install the job. I did that only to find out that they did not have the necessary part. We decided to do a splice to complete the job. It took 2 1/2 hours. Everything is set up so businesslike on your website but in reality it's just a sham. Very embarrassing.William W.

I was told my hitch install appointment was at 7am Saturday morning. When I arrived I was told the guy who installs wasn't going to be there until 9am. So left then dropped my car off at 9am. I waited for 2 hours and received a phone call from the technician, while in his waiting room, telling me he could not install my hitch because of one rusted bolt. I am confused on how it took two hours to find one rusted bolt. They were understaffed the entire time I was there. I wasted an entire Saturday morning to not have a hitch installed and be told to take it to a garage to have my bolt fixed.JASON P.

they lie about fuel levels when turning in the rental. it's bad enough that moving is stressful and fuel is so costly but they charge you extra for fuel. I returned this truck with more fuel than they gave me (the fuel light was on).I returned with 1/4 tank.kevin W.

Went in for my first time just needed a van for a mattress and box spring. Only going less than 50 miles. Was charged 70 dollars at first, thought it was kinda expensive. The guy working was decently nice but the two females were rude to me probably made fun of me/ laughed at me when I left because I was just making sure if I needed to stay for them to verify that the van looked good before I left. Made me feel like I asked a stupid question or something. Did not make me feel welcomed at all and just wanted to get out of there.ALLISON R.
our pickup location was changed and we were given fewer miles from new pickup. we needed those extra miles; i called U-Haul and he claimed to make a note of it, but i would need to still talk with C/S. when he transferred me, it was going to be a 42 minute hold...ridiculous! that screams that they don't care enough to have adequate help or even return the call later. of course, my final bill did NOT have the credit for the extra miles. overall the in person rental interaction was average and the company phone/internet processes simply suck.Dean S.

Heather Poore is OUTSTANDING! First, she took my initial phone call, answered all my questions and made me feel comforted in having to handle a last-minute, unplanned move of my college student due to coronavirus. Then when I arrived from NJ the next day, her smiling face met me and she again calmly explained everything and got me set up. This is my first time renting storage; she was patient, helpful and didn't rush me. Then I made three trips to the facility in the next 24 hours. I was impressed with the cleanliness, the access to carts, the security, etc. I can't say enough about how Heather went above and beyond and how all the little things she did added up to reducing my stress in a time when I greatly appreciated it. Also, thanks for the one-month free for displaced college students. I thought that was a very classy and empathetic move by UHaul.
