Wrightsboro Road took care of me. Disappointed in my Davis Road location of original reservation. Provider could not log into the UHau-website to check me in and apparently was an issue all day. My reservation was 3:00 pm. I was directed to call the 1-800 number and had to figure out my check in myself. I was directed to an area manager who sent me to Wrightsboro Road as my reserved trailer was not available on Davis Road. A reservation guarantee credit has been awarded to me although I am not quite sure if it will be a coupon for my next rental or a refund check will be coming.

I was over charged for mileage, charge for pads I didn’t receive and for Safeway I didn’t order. The manager says I singed up for 24 hour rental, that’s not ture, it’s was a 4 hour rental. The truck had no gas, I had to ask for dolly. This is the worse experience I’ve ever had with uhual!

The guy at the counter(Axxion? something similar, black guy wearing a face mask) was unhelpful, rude...or just lazy. The man outside had a equipment return ahead of mine and I went inside to wait. I asked Axxion(?) to tell me the odometer reading from when I picked up the truck. He told me I had to wait for the guy outside to finish before I could get that information. I had rented a truck a couple of weeks earlier and knew he wasn't telling the truth and called him on it. He then gave me the mileage that I asked for. He wasn't doing anything else when I came in AND he did ask if he could assist me. I don't understand the power play/control issue.

The wrong key was provided in lock box which made me unable to receive move in keys for new home since I left location with truck a hour later than original pickup time . The location had no idea that I was arriving for a UBox. They had to call the supervisor on the phone to confirm. They gave me the display model out front and had to go look for the rachet strips to tie it down. The gentleman that helped me was courtesy but seemed confused that I was there. I called a couple of days earlier and they were confused on the phone as well. My reservation said that it was for noon. I assumed it was for the time that they opened up on that Saturday. Who wants to wait until it is HOT outside in GA to pack? I also do not understand why it is a 24 hour period to load it. I am paying for the time (30 days at a time) and as long as it is back in time to ship out at the confirmed time, I do not understand the time constraint. PODS is three days to load. PODS ran into my house upon pickup in March and I still used them again in May for a second POD. This time I only had a small amount of stuff to send so I used UBox. I do not think that the space to dollar amount ratio is worth it. The UBox service overall is not worth the price billed. PODS was between $4000-$5000 depending on the season, but “U-Box containers hold roughly 257 cubic feet, while the PODS container holds about 857 cubic feet.” PODS offers a military discount and a Costco members discount.

I rented a truck and a storage unit. Everything about the truck was great however I still have my storage unit 301 and that unit was completely dirty, it seems as if it hadn't been rented out in years, I had to wipe down the whole unit, it was cobwebs and spiderweb everywhere which made me uncomfortable for my things, so for future reference please make sure your units are cleaned out!.

He trailer that I rented was great for the job intended for, but the only thing I didn’t really care for was the the two workers conversation that I overheard in front of the customer was very loud and inappropriate. If you are having a bad day with your manager, then go to them and express your frustration. Not all customers want to hear your language that comes out of your mouth. Over all I got through it and was on my way. PS I hope they work it out with they supervisor.

First I called them to book a truck for 12:30pm and they said they didn’t have a truck until Sunday and they sent my reservation to a place that didn’t even have the truck as well, I go through place after place that the reservation CSR sent me through until 4-5pm when they said the truck I was looking for was available at this location, the location I called first that said they wouldn’t have one until Sunday, they didn’t offer a bigger size later pickup options, nothing just sent me somewhere else. Then they had me on hold forever before telling me they didn’t have the truck and when I went in to pickup the truck after 4pm it was only me and another customer in the store and the other customer had booked a van 3 days ago and they gave it away and someone they were on the phone with was getting charged for a missing dolly and mine didn’t even come with a dolly! Then they had the nerve to be laughing about how they had 5 people on hold with only 2 customers to deal with in store! I was one of those people on hold before!

No refund for returning the truck with more gas than it started with nor for returning it a day early…..yet had it been a day late and contained less gas than starting with, I’m sure I would have been charged. One way street I guess……always screw the customer. Plus, I was told upon pickup of the truck that I could drop it off at any location near Augusta, Ga., but was told upon return that it had to go to a specific location, which was inconvenient for us. Double talk.

The customer service at this location provided by Sharon (the manager) was extremely poor. She was very rude, unhelpful, and had a poor attitude during a misunderstanding on my part and an employee at that location. She began accusing me of a situation that could’ve been rectified with a simple conversation that I’ve had with 5 other U-Haul representatives in the same day. There are plenty of U-Haul stores in the area, choose another and hope she isn’t the manager there.

This was hugely annoying; I was ON MY WAY to pick up the truck I had reserved at the downtown U-Haul location and I received a text that my truck was to be picked up at the U-Haul center ALL THE WAY ACROSS TOWN!! Seriously? Penske ALWAYS gets the truck I want to the location I need to pick it up. Ultimately this rental was twice the miles I would have otherwise used.

Try not to switch vehicles without telling the customer and just passing off keys, because you’re too lazy to go get the vehicle rented. Or you were trying to try some fraud stuff. If it’s not the vehicle that is on the contract and the customer isn’t made aware of the switch you shouldn’t do it. Stop telling customers to not take pictures of the vehicle before they leave and upload it to the U-Haul website. That’s bad business practice. Wear a name tag so someone can make sure the right person gets address. Guy that pulls the vehicle around shouldn’t just assume the customer was the one that told him to get the right vehicle. Lady at the desk shouldn’t be texting false information. This location was so unprofessional and makes the customer feel uncomfortable about renting a vehicle.

The process for checking equipment (that a truck as a dolly) should be more efficient. There was no dolly on the 20’ truck I rented, but the store claims there was and charged me for it. When you initially pick the truck up, they do not have you take a picture of the cargo space, so there was no way to verify that the truck had no dolly. Even still, I was charged for it.

Had to drive back, the hand dolly wasn't in the truck. Wasn't able to checkout without having to go inside, yet it's an option online when making the reservation. The truck was clean, however it wasn't ready when we got there at pickup time. The manager, Sharon, didn't recall we had a conversation from a prior rental that had issue, which I get, being busy, but, why tell me to ask for her so she could make it right. She had no recall. Hopefully we won't need to rent again. Oh, I had a $ 25 credit, I left a note at the reservation time, was done online it said to leave the manager a msg. When I asked about, Sharon stated she didn't see it. When I paid, it should have been applied, yet I was charged for full price, waiting to see if it'll adjust after the hold amount clears. Fingers crossed I won't have to call to get it applied.

I was told to go to Gordon Highway because they had the space that I needed. I get there and they don’t have no storage at all the staff called customer service and the customer service representative made me a reservation at another location father than I was looking for. I rode around looking for the storage office for a hour. Called and called and got no where had to go to another location yet again and luckily I was able to get a unit there. Even though the space was too small.

I received average customer experience while returning the one way rental. Many things went poorly. However, the one that stood out. While at the customer counter, (Sharon) I believe was her name provided poor service. I was in the process of getting a free 1 month storage unit that Uhaul graciously provided. She began to ask for alternate contact names, number and additional address. I was puzzled by the requested information as this information was given at time of rental. During one point of this conversation: (Sharon), stated " There is a storage company next door, that may not require as much information that I am requesting. You can try them if you like " Needless to say, I didn't make a switch to another company due to time constraints. My suggestion to this location. Do Better!

The staff was friendly and helpful with what they had to work with but the gate situation needs big improvement. The key cards do not work so it is not convenient to get locked in the gate or have to go during business hours to get in for our belongings. You should also have a pin code available which I was never given. I'm not sure why they have 24 hours on the building when it is not open 24 hours. The hours are 7 am to 8 pm.

The access hours listed on the reservation were different from actual access hours on-site. We do not like that we can only access the storage unit when the office is open. Otherwise it was a good experience.

Whoever the guy is that runs the wrightsboro rd store in Augusta ga, is horrible. I called twice for an extension and he threatened me if I didn’t return the truck and refused to extend it. My wife called the 1800 number to get it extended. But he called and was threatening me on the 9/14 when I had reservations until 9/15 to return the truck or he would call the cops and report it stolen. All I was doing is trying to move. Because of his actions I definitely would never recommend U-Haul. Worst experience I’ve ever seen in my life.

I will never use this facility again. After 10 years of trucks and storage i must say this was the worst experience ever. I will never use Uhaul again. Not only was the staff here rude and unprofessional especially the GM but the pbone reps were rude too. I never knew how rude they were because this was the first time i had an issue.

I have used UHAUL probably 7 times and I've never had poor customer service until this time. It took 3 weeks to get a refund. When I asked for a supervisor (more than once) they said "there wasn't one". My unit was robbed and the employees acted unconcerned. I was told "Ok" and the police were called. She then said they'd meet me by the locker. That was it. I then walked to the unit. Poor, poor customer service. I won't use them again or recommend them to anyone!!!

The owner/manager was very helpful when he had the time and ability to provide assistance to customers. The other representatives, particularly the women at the desk, had bad attitudes, did not provide customer service in a timely fashion, and failed to address the needs of customers. This was my personal experience and the experience I observed other customers undergo. Additionally, the reps do not respond to the phone and often put customers on hold when they call in and never get back to them. I found this out when I called then saw this action when I went in store. Poor customer service is not worth the trip to this location.

Storage units were overpriced. When I rented the storage unit, I was not told gates closed at 5:00 pm and that I didn't have access. As a result, we were locked inside the gates for over 2 hours.

You may have more I don't know because I only had to deal with two employees Hymond and Thomas but these two guys are great at customer service and very friendly as well. Believe me coming from a sales manager for a fortune 500 company of many years you should be very proud to have these two gentleman represent your company. I also dealt with a lady on the phone who was very nice and a third gentleman the day I dropped of my rental and they were very pleasant.

It was difficult to communicate with the staff at 3363 Wrightsboro Rd, Augusta, GA 30909 location. I was constantly threatened over the phone live and via voicemail and in person about how I was stealing the truck and the police were notified by the agent at the store, who is no longer working there. The person who arranged my rental before her convenient departure said her cell phone was turned off for weeks thus I could not inform her continuously. I also had sent an email but received no reply to that either. She misinformed me and my truck was taken back by the new staff without my knowledge. Now I have no possessions which were put into storage without my knowledge or my permission. I owe money for holding to the truck for too long while I have no personal property except the clothes on my back. A few days ago, I visited the store to find out what happened to the truck. The property that I parked the truck on and the police had no information. Sharon Gresham was allegedly not working that day but was giving instructions to her employee to relate to me. She was not willing to work with me yet I was told that if I told the store what was going on they could have helped. I called customer service and their reaction was the same. Everyone claimed it was not their choice but that UHAUL demanded it that it should be handled this way. I told the store staff everything from day 1 including where the truck was and that I was waiting to move into my unit but the complex I am moving into had an ownership change so it took longer than expected. The tenant in the unit I will move into was evicted and it added 30 additional days for the vacancy and a few weeks more for the repairs. I was accused of abandoning the truck but I did not do any such thing since my entire household was in it. It was a series of manipulative transactions which could have been prevented but nobody offered me any help and I will never recommend UHAUL to anyone.
