Great service. It was Very easy to rent a truck for the day. I did think parking was a challenge and unclear the only parking was on the street. Other than that everyone who helped with the rental from check in to check out was friendly and professional.

After checking in at the location, I was sent by myself to locate and hitch the trailer. Once trailer was hitched, I went back to the office for an associate to ensure that the trailer was hitched correctly and all lights were working properly. The employee was on her cell phone the entire time. The part of the conversation that I was able to hear was about someone being shot in the head and how to proceed with the police investigation. Aside from this uncomfortable encounter, they also had my rental time incorrect. I verified that I would have the trailer for a 24-hour period. After only 6 hours I received an email explaining that I didn’t return the trailer at the agreed upon time. I arrived to return the trailer at 7 a.m. when the store was scheduled to open, but the employee did not arrive until 7:15 a.m. At that time we discussed the email and the agreed upon time period. She finally agreed that the agreement was for 24-hours and would not charge me for a second day. However, I only had the trailer 20 hours total.

I booked an appliance dolly online, but none was available when I showed up. Also, a tough location in which to get in and out conveniently without traffic hassles And have to walk down the street to pick up and drop off my vehicle.

Let the customer that’s coming by know that they don’t have all of the moving equipment they need for that day instead of that person expecting it to be available since they requested this truck a month in advance. And also , if the customer arrives to do mobile pickup but then can not retrieve the key because it’s unavailable. They shouldn’t have to then do everything in store and take the spare key? Very unprofessional and unfortunate for me moving as it then made me have to purchase the moving equipment

Shut down your whole goddamned operation. You are a national pain in the movers' of america's ass! You are now the cause of most moving horror stories. You didn't used to be this way, but you sure as hell are now. My belongings are still being held illegally and I've had to cancel my move--at great cost--because the goddamned elevator won't work at the U-Haul storage facility at 1641 S. Kingshighway in St. Louis. Your whole operation, nationally and pretty much locally, is a frigging joke. I will be demanding/suing to get my hotel bill paid because I have no where to go while you illegally impound my possessions.

Not a helpful location, my brother and I had to hook up the tow kit ourselves when we paid for it because their staff was unable to.. The box truck was given to us when muddy dog prints inside the vehicle. Once we got the tow kit they wanted us to go to a bigger UHaul location to double check the connection. I was pressed for time for a move and this was a terrible experience.

The general manager cathy engle and coworkers were very unpleasant, rude & racially profiling I would never recommend this location to anyone! No one deserves to be treated unfair

The location was ok, the Poor rating is because my reservation was moved from a location close to me to one that was far away. I found this out the day before pickup and tried to get it changed and I could not get it changed to any one of 4 locations that were close to me. Then on pickup of the trailer, the right sides lights did not work. Being I just had the hitch and wiring installed by U-Haul earlier in the week, I did not believe there would be a wiring issue. There were NO other trailers anywhere to be found and they would not let me take this one because the lights did not work. So, first I had to go to another location and get my wiring tested, which was good. Then go back to the first location, pick up the trailer because they did not know how to fix the lights, take it to the second location where the lights started to work when I pulled in. Also, the hitch receiver was way too low to the ground at only 13", so they reversed the ball position and then I was at the normal 16" height with the ball. Needless to say, this all was just very inconvenient to start out my trip this was on my moving day!

When I went to get my truck I was told I was at the wrong location but then called to say come back I was at the right location but my reservation isn’t for another 30 minutes. Then they couldn’t find my assigned truck. Took an hour or an hour and a half to finally leave. In my rental summary it says a right dent, costumer denies accident. Obviously didn’t change me but there was not a dent. When I got the truck he told me look for spots. The truck was covered in chips. Anyways, No one spoke to me about a dent and I didn’t hit anything. I have experience driving large trucks I did not hit anything or damage anything so I’m confused why that’s in my report.

I TRULY DISLIKE THE APP!!! It was a mess hunting for the truck, told a box number would come up to get the key and after the scavenger hunt, told to show the phone screen to the rep to get the key!!! Wasted 30 minutes ! Ridiculous app process. I would have preferred dealing with the person who was ALRRADY THERE!

I did the "quick pick up" option for a moving truck. The location didn't open until 9am, but I needed the truck at 8:30am for when my movers were set to arrive at 9am. I chose the quick pick up option because the website states you can pick up/drop off the trucks 24/7. However, when we went to pick up the truck, it would not allow us to pick it up because it was before hours, and we ended up not getting the truck until 9:30, which was an hour late and half an hour into the moving help that we were paying for with our movers. We were then told that our drop off time was still the same, regardless of the fact that we didn't get the truck until an hour later, so we paid for an hour that we did not even get to use the truck. Uhaul should not list the trucks as available for pick up before store opening if that is not truly the case. This was a very frustrating experience and one that cost us a lot of headache and money.

Respectively, I was unsatisfied with my U-haul experience. I made a reservation for a 15 foot truck and 3 dozen furniture pads out of Auto Embassy in Columbia on May 28, 2019 for Saturday, July 13, 2019. On July 6, 2019, paid online for my truck and furniture pads. I got a call on Thursday, July 11, 2019 that I would either have to drive to Centralia or Moberly to pick up my truck as there were no trucks available in Columbia. I chose the Centralia location, Roger’s Rentals, and received a confirmation email that the truck would be there. I also called the location to ensure the truck would be available for pick-up, I was told that it would be available. Despite the fact that there was a truck on the lot of the exact size that I needed, the worker at the Roger’s Rentals told my parents there was no truck available. My parents eventually got the truck, but once they got back to Columbia we realized the furniture pads I ordered were not inside the truck. After that, I went to the Auto Embassy location in Columbia to try and retrieve the furniture pads. They informed me that I would have to call corporate U-haul to be refunded for the pads I did not receive, and then I could rent the pads from Auto Embassy -- which I did. I was, however, at Auto Embassy for over an hour. Then, when I returned my truck and furniture pads to the U-haul location at 2101 S. Kingshighway Blvd in St. Louis, I informed them I was returning my truck and 3 dozen furniture pads. Shortly after I left, I received a confirmation for the return of my truck, but never for the return of my pads. I then called the location 5 times (between 9AM and 10:30AM) the next morning to make sure the pads were returned. Because I had received no answer, I went back to the 2101 Kingshighway location before leaving town. The woman there was very helpful and ensured that my pads were returned. Although I was able to complete my rental of the truck and furniture pads, this entire process was very frustrating. I made my reservation online 6 weeks in advance, and I still had to travel an hour round trip to get the truck. Then I spent an hour completing the rental of my furniture pads, and I also had to go back to the return location twice ensure the return of my furniture pads. Suffice it to say, I was not satisfied with my rental experience.
