The original vehicle provided clearly needed servicing. Regardless of whether it was in Park, Reverse, Drive or Neutral, the entire vehicle shook severely. Given this vehicle had been moved to align with other vehicles, whichever employee moved it new there was a serious mechanical issue but clearly decided to make it someone else's problem. The time and paperwork to switch vehicles cost us 30 minutes of valuable time.Kathryn R.

When I picked up the motorcycle trailer that I rented the associate that was helping me couldn't get the wiring harness connected to my 7:4 way adapter. He then told me I would have to "purchase" a new adapter in store. The 7:4pin adapter I brought in was BRAND NEW right from Ford. It had never even been out of the package. When the wiring harness on the rented trailer isn't in good condition it shouldn't be up to the customer to purchase additional items to make the rented trailer work. I managed to get it to work with the adapter but not without him putting up a fight. Apon return he was great, checked me in as I pulled into the yard. Went inside to get the difference back as the deposit was more then the rental. All in all good location and would definitely rent from there again.Paul R.

I had pre-booked my trailer rental so I figure that it would be very quick to pick up. However, When I arrived, the two folks behind the desk were trying to get a trailer hitch installed for a person for the following day. While the folks were being helpful to this customer who clearly left it his request to the last minute, there 3 other clients waiting in line who were already prepared and ready. Once I got to the counter, the gentleman was very helpful however, I believe you need to remove this bottleneck somehow. However, once I got outside, I was very pleased to meet Tyrell who connected the trailer and answered all of my questions cheerfully. Kudos to Tyrell.Viktor K.

Would have preferred a newer vehicle as the cargo door was stiff. Also there was a dolly in the cargo. There should be a a place to lockit into. I had to leave it out as it took up space needed. The perosn at the front desk has little or no knowledge on the returned process, i have to go ooutside to the returned guys to help me process the returned. Overall dissatisfied with service. This was my first time renting from this location. From the start to finish it was a 10/10 experience. The customer service associate when picking up the rental made the experience efficient & quick. The whole process took less than 10 minutes. When returning the rental the associate who checked in my rental for return again made the experience fantastic, it took maybe 5 minutes. The prices from Uhaul are great and better than the competition. I would highly recommend renting from this location in Ajax.Zeeshan N.

Won't recommend Uhaul to anyone. Your customer service is beyond terrible. I spent hours on the phone trying to resolve something and was looped back into the voice system or disconnected 5 times. Also, if I don't want a dolly and moving blanket, do not put them in the truck because they were in the way when we loaded the truck. My drop off experience was extremely horrible until the last agent i spoke with helped to remedy the situation. i was at the station for almost 3 hrs. trying to sign off only for one of the agents lied against me that i wasn't at the location and eventually dropped the phone on me while i was still holding on. this was most unprofessional and heart renching for a service company i had used several times in the pastLeo I.
Pick-up was a little chaotic. The van I was assigned was blocked in by another vehicle that they lost the key for. I had to re-do my check-in with another vehicle, which slowed down the process. Staff were fairly friendly and apologetic about it though.Heidi C.

I was not told upon booking or even check in that the sliding door would be locked at a certain time. I had to move a 10ft truck worth of stuff through the steel door that doesn’t open all of the way. I was also not told the storage unit would be upstairs. Train your staff to properly hook up trailers and educate them on all how all components of trailers work along with the technicalities of hauling in general. Clearly the staff at this establishment (Station St Ajax) are not all up to par on any of this and are putting people in harms way. Must be resolved immediately before any more damage to customer property or harm to anyones life. Extremely disappointed that a company of this caliber can even let things like this slid!Shanu A.

mess up my account and charge my credit card for the unit i never rent before. I only hold up 2 units currently and they are fully paid, and today i got email from Kim Jesson and claiming i own Uhaul money for the third unit, which i never rent it bofore, she charged me late fee for that unit. This is ridiculous and when i called for assistance to clear the situation, the girl who answered the phone was very rude and just transferred me to customer service and made me wait another 45 minutes. I just wasted an hour on things Uhaul made mistake on. This is not right. and still no one has fixed my problem yet. I have one complaint regarding the communications between the uhaul storage facility i have my belongings at and the head office in the US. There is a very obvious lag in communication between what is actually happening here and the late notices received weeks later. I have a credit card on file when I first arranged storage. I was not advised that auto payment was an option, I assumed that it would be the payment for monthly service. The person who set me up did not say anything. I then received a late notice and contacted the facility, the charge was removed. I was placed on auto payment, to my knowledge. I think received another late notice. I called again. My emergency contact also received a late notice and then I was frustrated. I called again and the person I spoke with did not listen to anything I said. She spoke over me, blaming the computer and basically blaming me for changing units. All of this in a matter of 2 months. Four notices in 2 months for no reason. My credit card was there the whole time and somehow she wanted to blame me. I went in yesterday to change the unit to a smaller one and the girl there was fabulous. I asked her to ensure that the autopayment was set up. She confirmed and was helpful. It's obvious to me that the US head office is not in the same time.zone and not on top of what is happening in reality. This represents poor customer service and ultimately cause unnecessary conflict here. I don't blame the staff here, but rather then place blame on the customer in this situation, the head office should provide a follow call to apologize for the time issues then place that on the staff here. I rented a UHaul van from this location and was very pleased with the van rental process. Everything about the van rental process here was great! It was convenient to store my things at the same location that I had to return the van. Staff at this location were friendly and provided excellent customer service. I appreciated them walking me through the access protocol, particularly since their shift was ending. Also, I felt confident about the security measures at this location. My one concern though was that there was a poision trap box for rodents, right in my unit. There was a label on the trap box saying advising not to touch it due to poision. I understand that all storage facilities, regardless of how fancy they look, must put rodent/pest control measures in place and I appreciate that the facility addressing the issue of pest control. However, I was concerned about the posion from the trap coming into contact with my belongings. I also was concerned that the trap might lure rodents into my unit, and that on the way they might nibble on my belongings. I arrived shortly before closing and was concern ed nobody would be able to help me. The gentleman (name i cannot recall) was exceptional. He was unhurried, really took his time to answer all my questions and provided a great deal of help. My original storage space was too small, and the storage space I ended up using is too large but he did provide help and information in a proper size unit (unfortunately that size is not available at this location). He explained everything to me and again was exceptional with his attention and help he provided. Thank you to him. I wasn’t too impressed with the last couple of months with uhaul. I had this locker for almost three year and it was always an issue trying to get in to access my locker and then when finally inside there always happens to be an extra lock on my locker! Usually it’s because of not receiving payment which I make sure it was on an auto renew, or this new one stating that you need a disk lock to be put onto your locker. The last Friday of October I got a driver and a truck to be able to empty my storage by the tie I got to my storage there was an extra lock I couldn’t take off and the uhaul staff just went home for the day. So I had to wait until I could go in in person after calling three times explaining the situation which no one cared for pay for any other driver just to get them to finally take this lock off. Was the worst hassle I had to go through and the worst part was is that the lock I had I bought at the uhaul store which they are still selling so what was the point so restraining me and costing me more money for no reason when it was a uhaul lock. My experience in the store was very good. Both your workers were very kind and helpful. There are just two items of concern for me. When I got the truck rental I called in and asked if I could get the free storage promotion that was advertised. The operator said I could and reviewed both the truck and storage reservation and confirmed this. However when I got to the store they advised since I am not dropping off the truck at the store I would not get my first month free. If I would have known this I would have asked to drop the truck off or go with access storage which gave me the same unit size for half the price. I will call in to customer service tomorrow but would love if you could assist me. As well it looks like my access code does not work so I had trouble actually accessing the unit.
