Suntae B.Did the mobile pick up for the pickup truck and while doing it the truck was given to another customer and when I walked in it too over 35 minutes to assign me to another pickup and the employee seemed under trained for the situation.

The store I went to did not have blankets waiting in the vehicle so I had to go inside to wait for help. What is the point of using the ‘just drive away' feature if it doesn't work?

LAWRENCE B.I was charged an $8,25 bogus fuel charge. I tried to call the local office. As usual, nobody answered. I was transferred to the corporate waiting line. To complain I waited on line 20 minutes and gave up. I was a loyal customer. Your customer service is terrible. With what you charge, you should be able to afford sufficient phone reps. You also not pad the bill with bogus fuel charges. I returned the van with the exact same fuel guage readiing as when I rented it.

JOHN F.This is my second time having bad experience with this location. First time was with them trying to install my a "pigtail" wiring for my prius prime. What a diseaster! After going back 3 times, they still could get it right. Subsequently, they just ignore your request for repair and their technicians was always "not available" with appointments. Would not recommend them for installing wiring for a trailer. They don't know how to do it and they are not honest and upfront with it. I have been to a lot uhual locations and this local is the worst for installing "pigtail" wiring. Second experience was this past week when I returned a truck that I was told to return to the nearest Uhual and I got charge extra for it. The dropoff was not late and the desk clerk could not reverse the charges. What a lame excuse!

JOHN B.When I returned the rented vehicle that I had rented for 24 hours (on the saturday-sunday of losing an hour because of daylight saving time), I was 30 minutes early, despite having the van for technically only 23 hours. However, the attendant told me that he would have to check in a slew of vehicles first before he could get to mine. So I told him that I needed it to be known that I was on time with my return. He said not to worry, he wouldn't charge me any late fees. I asked for a receipt of the total charges, he said I would get an email later that day. Silly me, I left, thinking I could trust this guy. When I did receive the email, I had been charged for another whole day, plus the maximum amount they could possibly charge for mileage. I called customer service the same day. After waiting on hold for 30 minutes, someone was finally able to help me. When she kept saying "one moment please, let me look that up" (at least 10 times) I lost my temper. In the end, it was determined that I was owed a refund for that extra charge. However, they still went ahead and charged my card for the full amount, which I technically did not authorize, since, upon return, the attendant said everything was OK and that I would receive said bill in the email. As of this writing, I still have not received the credit for the $85 they overcharged me. Very disappointing experience. Too bad they're the only game in town!

The fellow who runs it helped me out SO much about 6 weeks ago when I had trouble with wiring for a trailer I rented. It was an emergency for me and he gave me top priority to solve my problem and get me on the road. I have been telling friends that I hardly ever meet anyone in business as nice and helpful as the man who runs the U-Haul on Lincoln in Altadena CA. And my latest experience there last week was once again very good. Thanks, U-Haul!

Even though staff had been nice during previous visit, hoping new management will help build and provide better guidance on how to obtain excellent customer service and important critical thinking skills dealing with different situations. Overall majority of U-Haul staff (Altadena & Pasadena (So Raymond) are great and dedicated to their work however it's obvious U-Haul ‘Corp' does not provide the required support, training and pay for their employees to meet the demand and satisfaction of it's customers. Upper management & Executive level need to do better for site location staff than just putting money in their pockets.

JOHN H.Our rental was back late from another customer, and we were not notified prior to driving across town to the Altadena location for pickup, and waiting in line for some time. Then we had to wait another hour for the truck to arrive, completely throwing off our tight moving day schedule. The personnel were unhelpful and acted as if they couldn't care less. We will not be using Uhaul again.

I am in the service business and if we make a mistake by overbooking we pay for it...I don't see that happening with U-Haul. If this is not rectified, I will not utilize U-Haul in the future.

David M.I love this location, but the truck was not in good shape. Rear tire was low pressure and engine light came on. My prior experiences have been very positive and customer service is otherwise exceptionally great.
Jason J.The left rear tire had very low tire pressure when the truck was delivered to me. I had to wait for them to find the tire gauge in order to put air in the tire. The trucks tire pressure system was malfunctioning as well. The same tire was low the next morning. The manager said the problem was with the trucks system. Not true. I could have had an accident with the tire.

The rental trucks, which I've used several times, are always very clean, and the storage area is immaculate, well lit and secure. If I ever needed to rent storage space again, this would be my first choice. And I'll continue to use the truck rental services whenever needed.

RUBY S.When returning the truck the Uhaul employee would not help me and told me to use the app. When I asked him if I would have to download the App on my phone I asked if we could return it without downloading a UHaul App. He said no. I left the keys with him. I do not consider this professional.
Nathan A.I booked online as a contactless pick up, but when I went to get the keys, when I picked up the vehicle, the attendant said there were 2 bookings and he would correct them. They were not adjusted. I was double billed. I had to wait 15 min to pick up keys. the truck had dirty front windows and low tire pressure. i rented the truck for a little over an hour. when i returned the key, there was still a long line and the attendant said I could leave the key with him and he would check me in a soon as possible. when I received my bill the next day, I was not checked in until after 5pm, and was billed 2 rental periods, and 2 CDW. I called reservations on 12/27, and explained the situation and was told the manager would call me back. No one called. I called reservations again on 12/29 and was told the same story. I called customer service, and they were not able to reach the manager at that location and again I was told that "someone would get back to me in 72hrs" I disputed the charge on my credit card and hope to get it resolved. So far, I've spent 3 hours on hold with u-haul.

Jarrod N.Long wait - when i arrived at the appointed time no one was in the office for 15 minutes (by the clock). All told it was 45 minutes from my arrival before I was able to leave - and that was with as much pre work being done as possible. Equipment didn't work - the wiring harness was worn and frayed and so the lights didn't work. I asked for an adjustment but Caleb said no way, take the trailer as is or go away. No other wiring harnesses available at U Hall. No furniture dolly: I reserved a furniture dolly and was charged for one. One was not available so i had to ask for a refund. Other than that - the trailer itself did the job. We moved the piano and returned it in 3 hours.
