Could not get into the lock box to get the truck we ordered. Had to drive to another location only to be sent back to the original location for someone else to get the box open but give us a smaller truck. An hour and a half after the original pick up time. We had to make two trips which cost me an additional 100 in addition to the 150 an hour we paid the movers who were waiting for the truck.RICHARD B.

I wouldn’t recommend uhaul to anyone, they have very poor customer relations skill. They do not check with the local companies to see if they have vehicles available to move, they just make . I am very upset at u-haul at the moment, cause I called and reserved a truck and a storage unit. I was able to get the truck with no problem. But the storage unit was awful. First the lady I scheduled the reservation with told me that I would have a 10x12 unit available to move into. But when I got to the storage unit the man that was working told me that he didn't have a 10x12 available the only thing he had was a 10x15 or a 5x10. So he took us down to see the unit the 10x15 witch was not available because it was still filled with trash so he took us to the 5x10 unit which we ended up getting because it was the only one he had but not only was it too small, the panels in our unit are coming off where you can see into the unit next to ours so somebody should look into that. Also we had to throw away a lot of our stuff because it would not fit in the unit.Richard N. | First Impressions

This is the worst mistake ever, and I beg you to choose a different rental truck company. I showed up on time, at a new location 7 miles further away to pick up my truck that I scheduled two weeks out.. This location has no staffing, so you are stuck on your own with the app. The app would not let me check in. After an almost two hour wait on the phone, I attempted to make a new reservation at the same location for the same size truck. Mind you, there was only one 17 foot truck there. The reservation worked. Finally I spoke to a UHAUL agent who explained there was not another truck there to fulfill my original reservation so the app never worked. I went to drive off in the second truck, which I soon discovered the battery was DEAD. The UHAUL agent quickly transferred me to her manager. The manager offered to upgrade me to a larger truck "at no extra charge". The 20 foot and the 17 foot was the same price so this was a mockery to the situation. UHAUL only offered me their 50 dollar guarantee. After almost 3 hours, I finally drove off in a truck with low gas. The final straw was when I found Marijuana in the cup holder of the truck. They clearly do not clean the truck. If you will rent from UHAUL do not chose a location with App Only. You will waste 3 hours of your moving day.Marc B.
It was a good place as long as the local management was who you dealt with and IF they answered their phone. When there was a problem, local management would not answer their phone. When dealing with corporate they tell you they can't do anything but try local management and in the meantime your stuff in your unit is unavailable to you. The corporate will not even compensate or anything else for your inconvenience. They knew of the issue for over 24 hours and didn't have the decency to email clients to let them know of an issue and that it was being looked into. When we moved, we rented our unit. After moving in we were informed of a special for new renters, but because we set up our rental online so we were prepared when we got there, we were not eligible (it was a new rental within their time frame). Their solution was to rent a second unit to get the deal. I feel this is a shady company who tries to find ways not to honor their own specials and who refuse to treat customers as if they are the reason they are in business. Uhaul was the leader in self storage for a long time. I think they got too comfortable and have now been knocked down. I would rate them so-so.Sandra H. | Overall Experience

$19.95 per day in town is bull jive! You need to take that off the side of your vehicles and stop false advertising! That is just plain dirty! Arrived to pick up my truck and it was parked in a way that made it impossible to get out with the other trucks next to it and my truck sandwiched between them and a pole and a ditch. The truck had all sorts of mechanical issues, didn't have the dolly I paid for. Returned the truck and was charged twice what I had already paid and when I looked at my bill online, the guy has added a ton of stuff I didn't get or use and it's over a month later and he's still trying to bill my card almost $200. I already paid $85 and should have gotten some of that back. U-haul corporate even said I should not be charged and removed the extras from my bill and told him to refund my money completely but I keep getting charged. Find somewhere else.Carolyn M.

It took forever to process pickup. There is only one person at that location. There was dirty on the floor of the trailer. Drop off was a nightmare. Location was fine, but Uhaul seemed to have overbooked this location. The attendant was very stressed and frustrated with his lack of support. The equipment that we ordered was not there. And the location and time of our pick up was changed 2 days prior to our reservation. When I arrived At the U-Haul facility it was 4:45 P.M. There was a customer there that the clerk was taken care of once that customer was done conducting their business the Clerk said to me â€œsorry I'm closedâ€ as he is walking towards the door. I Said to him I have a reservation already I'm just here to pick up the truck he said â€œ I understand that but I'm closedâ€. Then he asked me Was I here for the 26 ft. truck. I Told him yes, then he said I have it already for you but I am closed. Then, I had to sit there for an hour and a half trying to go online and get in touch with customer service to figure out how to get the 24 seven app so that I could get the keys out of the lock box.When I finally did Retrieve the keys in the gas needle was on E (Empty). This gentleman needs to learn how to deal with the public. And have class is on customer service. When he said that he had the truck ready for me, obviously that was not the case because if he had the truck ready he would have at least Made sure that there was some gas in the truck. This is unacceptable as much as I have dealt with U-Haul before I've never had this issue or come across anyone so rude.Catrina S.

Listen. I dont want to be rude. The transaction was smooth, the attendant was great but the store smelled like sh!t. Like real life human sh!t. It bothered me. Its still bothering me how bad that store smelled. Hey if the guy has to use the restroom and he works there okay. But bleach that entire place afterwards. I mean the smell is stuck in my mind. I was sent there 20 miles (30 minutes) out of my way since the location where I reserved my unit didn't have one. The attendant was rude and didn't believe me when I was told I should receive the $50 guarantee. I should have been able to drop off unit where I originally ordered and he said no. I had to drive 40 extra miles and it took an hour longer. I should not have to pay for the extra miles or extra time.Merrilee G.

U-Haul should make customers aware of possible $25 cleaning fee. This would help customers bring back the equipment in a cleaner condition, and by telling us before we rent it, it will allow us to factor it's cleaning into our time while using it.Bryan F.
