So, this facility served its purpose but was weird. When we did interact with the staff they were like mutes. You ask a question & they don’t respond - no words, no nods, no facial expression changes, but they’d help. (Like, we couldn’t get in the storage doors after the office closed one time. We asked a guy outside & he didn’t respond at all… just walked over to one of the doors, unlocked it, propped it & walked away.) The outside building was often dirty with glass & debris & the pillars lining the curb are falling apart. The access times worked fine for us. There’s almost always a pile of junk twice as high as any human at the entrance. Inside isn’t terrible, they just put some kind of coating on the floors which made it look nice. Sometimes there was debris in the hallways but not too terrible. Our unit was spacious & free from debris. We saw roaches a couple times throughout our time there, but it wasn’t every visit and never more than one in a visit. We’ve yet to see if our belongings got infested as we haven’t made it to our destination for unpacking yet. Overall, this place isn’t terrible, but we’ve utilized much nicer U-Haul Storage properties. I am in receipt of and Invoice for $5,509.45 This truck and trailer were stolen on June 29, 2022 from Woodstock, GA. They were fully insured by "Uhaul Safe move Plus" insurance which is supposed to cover the truck and any and all damage to it plus $1,000,000 liability coverage. I filed a police report and filed a claim with Repwest that same day. Insurance claim number 02704217-2022. Mr. Patrick_Gereaghty@repwest.com is in charge of my claim. As of today, 9/19/22, he has not answered about why I received such an invoice or about the status of the claim. I reached out to my local Uhaul location in Woodstock, GA and the representative mentioned that this should be a mistake on the person that took the truck in, as there are plenty of notes in the system explaining the situation. He went further and filed a "Customer Objection File" Reference ID 3936329. I was supposed to be contacted by a local area manager by last Friday 9/16/22 and I have not heard from anyone at Uhaul. I contacted my credit card company and submitted a dispute on this charge. I would like the "area manager" to resolve this issue ASAP.Luis L.
I used the quick check-in, but it was difficult finding the van. I had to run all over the parking lot looking for it. That parking lot is huge. When I found the van, it was locked, so I had to go inside and they gave me keys for a different van. That took about 20 minutes of the time I had the van since it was 12-4. Reserved a storage unit and a truck. The app was not helpful with self check-in for the truck and it had to offer me different trucks to look for. The most inconvenient part was the storage unit. The staff person made several attempts to search for a unit but each time the unit was occupied even though the system stated it was available. I reserved an appliance dollyâ€¦ no one put it in the van I rented and I didn't realize it until I was almost 10 miles away. I had to turn around and go back for it only to be told â€œwe don't have any left so yeahâ€¦â€ and he started to walk away. I told him I needed a dolly and he said â€œthey'll take it off your billâ€. I said â€œof course they will but I still need a dollyâ€. I went inside again to ask for assistance and was told I could drive to another location and see if they have one. I said â€œI just had to spend gas and mileage to come back hereâ€¦ I don't have the time or money to hunt down a dolly that I reserved yesterdayâ€â€¦ and they offered me a utility dolly. It wasn't big enough but I agreed since there really was no option. 10 minutes later I'm told they don't have any available. They gave me one that was sitting at the front door. Took me over an hour and a half to get my van and a dolly and be on my way which made me late to pickup my new couch. Luckily the store I purchased from loaded it into the vanâ€¦ but when I got home to unload the new couch and take my old one to the dumpâ€¦ the dolly was indeed not big enough. My couch now has a broken foot and mud stains on itâ€¦ I messed my back up which is going to cost me at least $170 at the chiropractor and the new couch fell on my toe which is now grossly swollen and bruised. I couldn't be less happy with my experience, to be quite honest. I'll be making a complaint tomorrow.Lyndsey W.

Thank you for sending one of the new ones with the steel sides. I do not like the wood ones. These new ones are perfect. Delivery drivers were amazing and nice! I appreciated all the moving blankets to wrap furniture and tons of places to hook my tow straps to keep everything in place. I even left a GPS tracking device inside the container and it tracked it all the way from GA to CO despite the metal sides. A very enjoyable experience. One days late being dropped off. Three days late being picked up. No covers for the plywood UBoxes so I had to buy rolls of plastic to cover the boxes to prevent the rain from getting inside the boxes (which a little rain got any prior to me getting two UBoxes wrapped in Home Depot plastic). Horrible experience. The ubox storage facility lost the UBoxes and my moving guys (recommended by ubox) had to wait four hours while they were located. Then the forklift worker had left early and the manager didn't know if the forklift driver was coming back that day (he did at around 4pm). Horrifically bad experience.John B.

The employees at this location lack social skills. Not only was I greeted in the most unprofessional manner. When I returned to drop off one employee walked off after clearing seeing I was returning and another approached me, told me just leave the keys but never closed out my rental. Better organization of box drop off and pickup. The box was delivered a day late, causing the moving help hired to not be able to make the timeline. I was then told the box would be able to be picked up later the next day, but was picked up earlier when I had not finished packing it. Then once it made it to the uhaul destination, I could not access customer service for over a day to schedule the delivery time. I had to purchase moving help to be able to deliver the box on time as my location required a city permit for a certain time period to have a moving box. Overall, the coordination was lacking and caused many phone calls to the customer service line.Lauren D.

This was literally the worst experience with a company that I can remember. I have never been so frustrated. The box was not delivered four days in a row despite promises each day that we would have it the next day. I spent hours waiting for it to arrive and hours on hold with customer service. I was often hung up on when they couldn't help me. Then, we had box loaded and ready and it was never picked up day after day. I had to call every day and wait on hold to find out what was going. It was a bit of confusion at first I made the reservations three times before I finally got one a lady by the name Ms Gina over the phone finally help me once arriving at U-Haul place on Memorial I was greeted by two very nice young ladies who were more than understanding of my situation and they smooth over everything that had already happened to me prior to me getting there I would definitely recommend you home storage facility it was very clean organized the only problem that I have with U-Haul is that you don't have 24-hour access to your storage oh and there's some annoying sound every time you open up your storage door but I guess that's for security purposes so I am grateful for the big noise so really my only complaint is that the hours of operation that you can get to your storage which is only seven to seven but I'm willing to accept that because of the security again I will most definitely recommend you all storage to any of my friends and I will let them know if there's any confusion just get on the phone and you all will surely take care of it just as they did mecharity m. | First Impressions

This whole experience was a hot mess. No one knew where my stuff was. I arranged for it to be delivered to my new home on 6/29. I was told it would be delivered to a warehouse on 7/10. then on 7/5, then they called at 5:30p and said "tomorrow" 7/1. I had to scramble for a moving crew to help (family had already left). then only 4 of the 5 boxes showed up. the last one came at the end of the day when the moving crew had left. I will never use U-Haul again, nor recommend them.KAREN B.

I rented here because you offered a free first month. I reserved and set things up online but when I checked in I had to start from scratch and after a long grueling move across country I stood there for an hour trying to get my shed. Then you charged me for the first month. The shed selection was also poor- and I had to go with a facility far away to even get anything. To get an adjustment now in the money I have to sit on hold for hours to get help. I guess they can only charge my card at the rental place, but they can’t reverse charge. So I’ve had my things there since 2018 and I had a situation where my debit card was compromised so I got a new one. When it was time for the debit to be taken out automatically I had not given you home my new card information yet. So when I did Cole couple weeks later the team was so helpful and the young lady who was on the phone with me was so completely thorough I really appreciate her she made sure that we got to the bottom of the confusion. The facility is clean but the management and the employees suck. They don't communicate properly and the unit I rented wasn't set up properly either. The first employee who handled my account spelled both my first and last name wrong. He also didn't inform me that I needed a code to get access to my unit to prevent the alarm from going off. After a long travel, restroom was out of order inside registration area. No one or signage to assist with navigating the facility upon arrival. Website stated drive up access but only a small cart was available to unload a 15’ truck to storage unit several, several yards away! Aisles were blocked with storage contents dumped into main passages. No assistance with referrals for unloading help. Many units tagged for “restricted access due to nonpayment “. I had a reservation for an large storage at the candler park location and when I arrived they said they do not do storage. They sent me to the memorial location and specifically asked for a unit I could drive my car to and they made me a reservation for one that did not have that option. It also took so long to try to get another storage that I lost my movers and ended up unloading my truck BY MYSELF at the only other storage facility nearby that was available right away. The whole ordeal made me return the truck after the scheduled drop off time. The manager was unprofessional he gave my paperwork my key and everything else to someone that accompanied me not one time did he even speak to me and the storage manager is obviously a drug attic thief that kept putting a lock on my unit even though my storage was paid and the day I came to move out neither manager was there and we had to pay $150 for a locksmith to cut the lock off my unit because they never gave me a key very unprofessional A lot of my things were missing and it cost me money just to get my items stolen from me sentimental items that can never be replaced are gone my washer was stolen and a bunch of my daughters clothing and shoes I would never use this facility again probably not U-Haul.
