Angela B | Overall ExperienceIt took the staff almost an hour to figure out computer issues and rent me my space. I had to repeat my personal information to them literally eight or 10 times. After all that, they figured out that they didn’t actually have the size space that I wanted available, so I was forced to rent a slightly smaller one. This forced me to have to pack the space more tightly than I had hoped, creating more work, taking longer, and making access to my family’s belongings more difficult. Also, no one informed me that although building access lasts until 10 PM, the large sliding doors lock at office closing time (8pm), and I was forced to squeeze several large furniture items through a narrow access door and hallway to get it to my unit, making my load in even more difficult and time-consuming. I had previously had good experiences with this storage location, having rented numerous trucks there, and having stored belongings there. This experience did not meet that standard at all, and I am very displeased and feel that I should be compensated somehow.

BERNICE G | Overall ExperienceMy mother died in California on May 31st. My storage unit was due to be cleared on Jul 2nd. From California, I called ahead verified the balance, spoke through a couple of options and confirmed that it was ok for my daughter Skye who is on the account and has an id on file to pick up with my son. I’m out of State. When my daughter and son show up on the 2nd they were told that they could not honor the settlement amount because I needed to be there😡. I asked to speak to a manager to see if under the circumstances could make an exception and explain what I’d already been told. Arlethe is who I was transferred to. Arlethe was cold, apathetic, indifferent, inflexible condescending and rude. I walked out of our meeting with the mortuary to take the upset call from my daughter. I’m now in Los Angeles sobbing on steps of a mortuary with U-HAUL because Arlethe is complicating a very simple task. We ended up getting everything taken care of. A different rep at the front desk honored the original agreement, allowed my son and daughter to pick up and returned our deposit and agreed that Arlethe was being unreasonable and insensitive.
