My pick up was great when I went to drop the vehicle off I was told they were short staffed and no one was there to check my truck in the young lady told me she did not know where the yard guy was so there was no one to check me. Unlike the Google reviews the service was excellent, prompt and helpful. I asked to upgrade to a larger trailer and they were quick to verify it was available and upgrade me. Return was quick, easy and the gentleman in the yard unhooked and dropped it no problem, emailed receipt and on my way in minutes. Very very much recommend all in the office on Monday at rental be congratulated for great service. Very apologetic for helping another guy ahead of me who they'd been helping close out his storage. No explanation needed but they were very open with why he jumped me in line.JOHN B.

I would not recommend this facility to anybody. Because there Computer System is not working right and keeps overcharging me. As also keeps charging me for a lock, which I had not purchased from them....and nobody could get the mix up straight. So they still own me money....and when I moved out of there because of the unprofessional situation I still had to pay for that full month !!! I'm very frustrated with the way that happened and I still want my money back....I have been coming to that facility for 2 weeks now just about every day trying to find a solution to get my money back. Well, I rented my unit a week early and it was the last unit at the time. When I moved and got to what was supposed to be my unit, it was a lock on it that I didn't put there. The staff thought maybe they were the ones who put it on to preserve the integrity of my purchase, but come to find out they actually rented my unit to someone else. Imagine how unnerving that was with almost everything you own in the back of U-Haul that time was winding down on. Luckily there was a unit that had just been vacated and I was able to get it, but what if it wasn't one available? I'm supposed to talk to management about compensation and resolution... On the day of pickup, the cargo van was dirty inside and out, however, the Representative did change the van out. The next day when I returned the van, No one was there, several people were waiting to pick up equipment. So I tried to use the app to return, it is not user-friendly, When I received the email invoice I was charged for gas (out on 1/4 and returned on 3/8). I then went to the location, I was informed that I changed the outgas, not sure how, but after speaking with the manager he gave me credit for the fuel charge.SANDRIAL M.

Location was supposed to open at 7am and didn't open until 9.30 making me 1.5 hours late for my 8am reservation.. I couldn't get the key even though I had the app to pickup my rental remotely because there was no lockbox. Van was full of mud and I had to clean it out before I could use it. First off, the young lady checking me out after removing herself from the top of the boxes seemed unhappy that I entered. They gave me a code to send in any damages or dispute how the vehicle looked, and I did. The car was left a mess, and I submitted those pictures. I returned the vehicle, and no one wanted to check me in. I left the vehicle and received a clean-up fee charge. Upon receiving the cost, I called customer service to inquire why I was charged, some to find out that the young lady who was supposed to check me in was preoccupied with her phone and did not notice all of my dispute. The truck had enough things damaged but undocumented that I felt like I was going to be blamed for their damage. the pre drive pictures weren't of the same truck and not taken that day so there were significant changes, in particular the bumper in the photos was shown to be damaged in the photos, but was brand new un damaged when I received the truck. The AC knob was missing, the gasketing on the passenger door fell of completely, the roof leaked rain in a steady drip onto the steering wheel as I drove, there was a sticky substance all over the passenger dash, etc. The truck had significant handling problems while driving. I could turn the steering wheel 6 inches and get no response from the vehicle. I had to use surface streets the entire time because if I went 50 MPH the truck was wobbling back and forth and felt like it would tip. I can't imagine why you would have let someone borrow this truck.Jacob T.

I reserved an appliance dolly with the truck because I needed to move a refrigerator and several other large furniture items. When I arrived to pick up the equipment, I was told that there were none available. Having the right tools for a job is very important to me, and leads to a more successful, less stressful move. I had to purchase a hand truck (from U-Haul) to make sure that I could complete the move. I believe when equipment is reserved far in advance, it should be made available.JEFFREY W.

I was not initially aware of policy of no move in after hours so I had to extend my uhual reservations (with associated costs) to reschedule my move in of things into the storage unit. Prior to arriving that evening I tried to call the office to make sure I would be able to move in at that time but there was no answer on the phone after multiple attempts. When reached Uhaul Storage of Avondale I was told that the last climax control unit was given away that morning. Now that's DISTURBING with FALSE PRETENSE!!! My family was exhausted, tired and wanted to complete our temporary move. I have come to the conclusion that Uhaul "bets on that once the customer is there will take what's available. Love the facility and the ease of checking in online. However, instructions regarding how to access the facility were not clear. I needed to "check-in" first before using the keypad to access the facility. Also, it was after hours and no information was provided to indicate that I would need a 24-hour access card.
