ANDRE LMajor issues with locks causing no access for over 6 weeks because the manager had to remove lock. However it didn’t get done even with my following up causing me to lose months of revenue that had a snowball effect on my finances and business. Also had to get additional storage to store because of no access causing a bigger financial issue for me. Always a wait to get assistance in office many times waiting over an hour. More wait time if staff is needed in the storage facility. Originally the customer service was good even with the long wait times. Staff was replaced with 2 very rude and unhelpful employees while the others were okay. One of the rude employees was suppose to help several times an each time he left saying he’d be back only to have me waiting while he went off to lunch etc. The new manager, Andrew did attempt to assist but the lack of follow through from before and appuyat

Samuel KStaff was very friendly, but that was about it. That's the only reason I'm giving this below average, beyond that it was a terrible experience. The truck cab smelled like urine. We were already running late with the truck because I was re-routed from another self-serve location to a truck that was parked but had not key available, so they had me go to Baldwin Hills. Again, nice staff, but we grabbed the truck and headed out. I had requested the half-dozen free pads. I guess I assumed they'd be in the back so we drove off. About 20 minutes into the ride I heard banging in the back. We pulled over and opened up the back. The handtruck was loose and was rolling around, slamming into the walls. There were also NO pads but they thankfully left plenty of trash for us to clean up. I had to drive 5 miles out of my way to get pads so now I'm paying extra for mileage. Definitely asking to get a refund on that. What should have taken 2 hours to get the truck, pickup my goods, drop at home and return the truck...took 4, which included rerouting to a second Uhaul right next to home from my first location, and then going to a third Uhaul to get blankets that should have been provided.

Stephen FI get Charge $42 for fuel adjustment I received with 28 miles to end the tank Fuel level… I made the complaint to the person who helped me, but he made the adjustment from my phone, putting it at the level that I received it so that they wouldn't charge me the extra charge. The deal was to deliver it as I received it, I delivered it with 38 miles to go, even with ten extra miles. a totally unfair charge

I accidentally walked away with the key in my pocket, but dropped it off in the after hours box and it was cleared early the next morning. To be fair, I was dropping it off a day early, but I half expected a charge for the missing key, I'm sure having a truck they couldn't move was inconvenient.

RamPraksh kI arrived at 11am and had to wait 20min in line. only one person in the cashier. he was very helpful but under staffed. there was only one person outside dealing with returns so when I needed help to locate the truck, he wasn't able to assist. the truck was in a decent condition. window handles were broken.

Kevin HA female employee working that morning made it mandatory for customers to go online to check in. There were older customers who were perplexed and didn’t know where to even begin, the app is totally optional and although the app may be user friendly for some it may not be for others. This employee then began to berate the customers telling them to read the instructions for the app instead of assisting them and helping them navigate the app. I finally got through my check in to avoid her. Finally another employee released the keys and I was able to leave.
Jasmine JYesterday a worker named Jose, who by the way gives a very bad appearance because of the way he smells and his very unkempt appearance, wanted to hit me for asking him to check the van that I had rented and that I was coming to return and he got very upset for having to get up from his chair, he started yelling at me to stop talking, he yelled at me as if I were my mother, in fact, I don't think even my mother has ever yelled at me like this guy, I want to report him for being abusive and I warn people to be careful with this person, he is dangerous, if you ask him to do his job, don't pressure him or ask him for anything or he will get upset because he got angry early on because my cell phone had a full memory and he couldn't stand any more photos from there, that was something that bothered him a lot, he almost called me an idiot. The truth is I don't know how you can have people like that, if you don't like your job, you should look for another one, but don't screw with people, what's your fault?

ARTHUR GWas really disappointed in the way the van smelled, it was so disgusting I had to have the windows rolled down the entire time. Also, I put more gas in the vehicle than when I took it from the uhaul store and was wrongly charged for multiple gallons of gas. When I called the store to dispute the charge, they said I would have to take it up with a store manager in 4 days when he is back working after the weekend to settle. Very upset that this happened and would not recommend.

Bonnie BJust last week, I sent almost $1,000 with Uhaul. Rented trucks twice lat week. The first situation was a great experience. The second, however, was terrible. The A/C did not work in the truck. I rented the truck early in the morning and did not notice it not working. Upon returning the truck, and mentioning the A/C and other panel issues, I was told that UHAUL only is concerned with the truck itself working, not including the A/C. I hope that you all could come up with a better response than that.

YVETTE GArriving at the location to pick up the trailer was an experience that I can only describe as deeply disappointing and frustrating on multiple levels. From the very beginning, it became glaringly apparent that none of the front desk personnel possessed even a basic understanding of your product. It was shocking that they could not provide essential information, such as the correct size of the hatch required for the trailer. When I inquired, rather than making any effort to find out—whether by asking internally, reaching out to other stores, or utilizing any available resources—the front desk lady simply shrugged off my question and told me to figure it out myself. This dismissive attitude suggested that this was the extent of the service they were willing to offer, which is incredibly disheartening for a business that should be focused on customer service. The situation worsened when I decided to visit another store. There, an employee tried to charge me $45.00 in cash to install the hatch. This struck me as highly suspicious and inappropriate, as my understanding is that your employees should not be soliciting cash payments from customers. This was not only unethical but raised concerns about possible unauthorized practices within your business. After purchasing the 2” hatch and returning to the original location, I was faced with yet another wave of disappointment. I found that there was absolutely no accountability from anyone at the front desk. When I brought up the fact that the information they had initially provided was incorrect, my concerns were met with indifference. No one at the front desk was willing to take responsibility or even acknowledge the mistake. It was as though my concerns were being swept under the rug, and this complete lack of accountability left me questioning the integrity of the entire operation. The only saving grace in this deeply troubling experience was a Hispanic employee with glasses who showed a willingness to assist and provided the excellent customer service that should be standard practice at your business. This individual was a rare exception to the otherwise appalling treatment I received. In conclusion, the conduct I witnessed at your business was not only unprofessional but borders on illegal, particularly the solicitation of cash payments by your staff. I hope that this experience will lead to significant changes in how your front desk operates and that more employees like the one who assisted me will be recognized and emulated. The current state of customer service at your location is unacceptable and needs urgent attention.

CAROLYN SI rented a 24/7 mobile check in and out truck and I had trouble with the website being slow and it took an hour to get the truck - then I went into the office to see if I could get more time and the attendant said I had to pay extra - I had a three hour rental and when I was booking it there was no difference in price between 3-6 hours. They also said I HAD to be back before the office closed, even though it is a 24/7 mobile check in rental. I busted myself to get back in time and traffic was insane. It was a horrible experience. I was also sent to a different location to start things off, hence the being even later to check it out and having very limited time and check in/out NOT as advertised.

JOSELINE DThe truck I rented was a very old one with about 160k miles on it and was a real pain to drive. First, the inside of the cabin was vibrating so much and was so loud that I had difficulty talking with my friend sitting besides me. Second, the accelerator pedal needed to be continuously pressed even when driving on a slope. As a result, I practically had to press the pedal for all the 4+ hours I drove in a single day and ended up with sore knees. I understand that rental trucks frequently have higher mileage but I expect basic comfort level in driving given that these are usually driven over long distances. (Note: I drive a 2009 hatchback with 110k+ miles on it. So, my expectations about basic comfort level are quite minimal.) I am sure I would have returned it if it was a multiple-day rental. After submitting this concern, someone from U-Haul emailed me to discuss. It has been more than a month since I shared my contact number to call but haven't heard back again in spite of two reminder emails.

Leonor MThis was an in-person location for picking up the truck, but I didn’t get any help from the people working at the location other than telling me go through the app. This confusion made me wait an hour to pick up the truck. Fuel level was lower than what it was stated in the contract and once I return the truck I overfilled the truck and they tell me I don’t get any refund. I have used U-haul in the past and never had issues but this time I had a bad experience and probably won’t be using it again.

Cindy PI arrived at the location 15 minutes before the rental time. I had difficulty at the website trying to complete the rental agreement and pay. After 20 minutes I finally was able to complete it with the help of customer service. When I did finally get location of truck it was parked behind another truck, so I couldn't move it. The truck was dirty inside and out. Smelled of cigarette smoke. The a/c didn't work, and it was a very warm day. I had taken pictures prior to leaving facility in case I need to prove the initial condition of the truck. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to use these pix upon return. Instead, I had to retake pix to submit at check out. It took about 45 minutes from the time I got there until I did leave.

SHARON BI had an issue when I first arrived to pick up my reserved truck. I was given a number to call. The guy Andrew did his best to help. I ended leaving and then getting a call from UHaul Corporate. The issues was fixed and the manager could have fixed it in the store, but he was not very helpful at all. I went back and Andrew again help us get our rental. My Daddy(Zaddy) was too tall to fit in that rental. I again had to return to the location and return and check out a new larger truck. The Manager changed his attitude and was then able to help accommodate our situation. So overall, a little run around. At the end of it I was able to rent. I will use this location again.
DOMINQUE CU-Haul needs to improve on your price deception you have prices posted that are deceptive the truth are not as low rate as they were posted I paid over $500.00 dollars to rent this truck and i think that’s highway robbery!!!

He over charged me claiming he had to increase my storage unit rent for security purposes and then burglarized my storage unit to destroy and steal my belongings. He was always stalking me when I came to my storage unit with the facility cameras and an amplifier always upsetting me with his unprofessional and criminal behavior. He made my experience with Uhaul very poor. The day I moved out he had mattress carts only out. Ridiculous. I couldn’t clean out my storage unit because he only had mattresses carts out. And I didn’t have no mattress or nothing shaped like a mattress. I advise due to his ridiculous thinking his superiors need to make him clean out my storage unit since he was the cause of me not being able to clean out my storage unit or anybody else’s because I saw a lot of other customers with their stuff that they didn’t want in front their old storage unit too. Don’t make the other staff do it make the unprofessional Andrew Harries do it. He was a horrible manager and should have not ever been a manager. Y’all keep him as a manager he is going to give y’all a bad reputation and drive your business into the mud.

I spoke with the manager, Andrew Harries at this location in Baldwin Hills who was extremely helpful, professional, and courteous. He provided excellent advice and options available. He was very accommodating and respectful as well.

The staff working on the weekend were unprofessional- they were talking about personal issues while taking extremely too long to help customers. One employee had personal hygiene that was so bad their nails were caked with dirt underneath and left a greasy thumbprint on my credit card. They asked me to walk all the back to my unit to take photos using my personal phone and then walk back and show them the photos before terminating the lease of my unit.
