Disclose the final price after taxes, fees and all the other bullshit that came up after it was all done with. I rented a pick up truck for $19.95 a day. I was charged .69 cents a mile which I thought was high but I really needed a truck and time was short. I did drive 84 miles and I was expecting to pay about 89.00 dollars. At the end of the day this truck cost me $146.00!!!! Taxes, fees, etc. Classic bait and switch, very unsatisfied customer. In the future I'll go out my way to avoid Uhaul.

the right rear door of the van popped out itself suddenly when we tried to open it. it hit the wall and the window was broken, in front of my friends!!! it is our luck that nobody was injured. Otherwise we would definitely sue Uhaul for its dangerous van. BUT now Uhaul wanted us to pay for the repair...

My review is not about the Rodeo Rd location. The service at the Rodeo Rd. location was fine. My review is based off of my experience prior to Rodeo Rd. On Aug. 5th, I scheduled a 10' U-Haul truck to be picked up at 10am on Sunday, Aug. 7th at National Smog Check & Test located at 3573 Overland Av in Los Angeles. I received an email saying someone would call me to schedule the pick up time. An hour went by with no call, so I took initiative and called the number provided in the email to schedule the pick up time. I spoke with a U-Haul representative that confirmed my 10am pick up time on Aug 7th at the aforementioned location. Shortly thereafter, I received another email identical to the first email. Later that night, I received a text message saying my reservation #21036783 is scheduled at 3573 Overland Av. in Los Angeles at 10am on 8/7/2016. No U-Haul representative ever called me. On Aug 7th, I arrived at 3573 Overland Av to pick up my reserved truck. The truck was there, however, no U-Haul representative nor any other person was there to complete the transaction. I then called the help number provided and spoke to a U-Haul representative who then told me that the Smog Check and Test was closed on Sundays and that no one would come to complete the order. I was then forced to schedule a different truck at a different location. This scheduling mistake by U-Haul cost me time and money. I was forced to drive additional miles to find a truck; was forced to drive additional miles to complete the move which was the purpose of the truck reservation, costing me money; and I was late to my scheduled obligations later in the day. After reviewing U-Haul's "Reservation Guarantee," I am entitled to $50 and I would like that amount, and that guarantee, honored.

You need to hire more clerks at the front desk. There was only one person handling reservations. It took about 40 min to get my van. That's unacceptable. I think 10-15 min max is appropriate.

This is not the location's fault, but when I called, I was apparently connected to a national line, which told me they had storage units (which were still being built). I know I wasn't speaking to one of the local employees because none of them sounded remotely like the person I talked to. Just something to watch out for, callers should prob be notified when they're connected to an outside line.

I had a work emergency and needed to rent a truck immediately. You didn't have my first option, a van, available until later in the day, so I selected the pickup, which was only avail for 3 hours (though when I got to the location there were several vans and pickups). It took a very long time to check me out, event though I explained that it was an emergency and that I was in a huge hurry. Additionally, I am a repeat customer and my information should have been saved in my account for express checkout, but apparently it wasn't. On the way back, due to traffic, I was going to be quite late to return the vehicle. I knew that the truck had only available for 3 hours and that someone would be waiting for it (the system wouldn't allow me to rent it for 4 hrs, only for 3), so I called and advised that I would be about 20min late, and that I could take a much longer route in mileage but that had less traffic to get it back sooner. I also explained that I was quite late for work, so I would need to just drop the truck, quickly. I called again several times to ask if there was any way I could keep the truck longer and go straight to work, and about the gas charges, based on miles, to determine if it was worth my stopping to fill the tank... but couldn't get anyone on the phone. I sat on hold for 40 minutes with no one picking up, even just to say they were busy and would be with me asap. I called the main Uhaul customer service line and also sat on hold for over 30minutes, only to get disconnected as someone finally answered (that happened 4 times over the course of the day). When I did finally get back to the area, it was 4:20pm and I elected to come straight to you and not get gas, again to return the truck quicker, for whoever had it booked next. I drove to the drop point and made eye contact with the person who checked me out (Reginald)... he saw me but didn't acknowledge me and walked back inside. I saw another employee outside, but he didn't acknowledge me either and also walked away, so I went inside. There was a long line of 6-7 people. I tried to make eye contact again with the 2 staff people you had inside (same as when I checked in, Reginald and a young lady who I spoke with on the phone), but no one acknowledged me. I could hear the phone ringing and heard the young lady say "stop calling... I'm not going to answer because I can only do one thing at a time (even though she had been chatting with the same customer - returning his vehicle - for over 20min - Reginald was helping the same customer during that the as well)." I waited in line for over 20 minutes. At one point a soda I had in my bag got punctured by something and started shooting liquid in the air and all over me... no one flinched. I held the puncture with my finger to stop it spraying, but couldn't get anyone's attention to point me towards the bathroom or paper towels... The line grew behind me, and finally, when Reginald asked for the next cus

Took 1 1/2 hours to pick up trailer, while paying workers that were waiting for me. 10 people in line ahead of me. Blamed slow computers for delay. Employees were however calm and friendly.

The location was under renovation when I did business there. It is a very large facility and very unclear about where the interim office was situated. While I waited to be checked out the fumes from the new floor finish were very strong. The staff was helpful, if a little hesitant - I'm sure this location will be be quite recommendable once it's renovation is complete...until then it's overall rating would be a 7 out of 10.
