Community areas need to be cleaned more regularly and it was weird how there was carpet in weird shapes on the ground, it made it hard for transporting stuff sometimes with all of the bumps between tile and carpet. The facility also could use cleaned more and employees could use a little bit better training and professionalism.

We arrived early for our 9am van rental reservation. As we entered the location the Trump hat wearing employee working the counter was attending to another customer. We made eye contact so I know he knew we were there and in line for our reservation. The employee then took the previous customers outside to help them with their rental. Then we waited for 20 minutes inside the store alone, no one else came to help us or even acknowledge that we were waiting for our reservation. I called the main reservation number and spoke to an operator and they were not able to get anyone via their phone. We finally went outside to ask for assistance as we've been waiting and the employee told us that there was another person working on a repair, and that he would try to call them. We then walked back to the location and found the person working on the repair and we knocked on the glass door to ask the person to help us. This person was helpful and got right to our reservation. Once we got the van something had been spilled on the floor and he immediately addressed the needed cleaning and when we opened the back of the van it contained several things (garbage?) and this stuff was removed. Once we got through this part of the process, the rest went smoothly and we returned the van with no glitches. If it weren't for the convenient location we would use another Uhaul dealer. Next time I'm going to look into the online check-in rather than the counter check-in.

I’m not sure if there is much more this location could provide its customers. It was a very smooth and uncomplicated process. The equipment was very clean and presentable. I had absolutely Zero issues or concerns. I returned the equipment and there were no “hidden fees or charges”. I will definitely use this location if the necessity ever arises again. I will let my friends know it is an A+ dealer.

Smelled of smoke. Filthy windows. I couldn’t see so I had to stop and clean the inside. Cracked mirrors and rusted through so couldn’t adjust. No lock on door. Customer service was poor. Couldn’t answer simple questions. No greeting. Relied on the U-Haul App to much instead of knowing his Job. Overall not a positive experience.

Best Uhaul center around!

I've rented from 4-5 locations and it will be more in the future with multiple kids in college. This location was very clean, large, organized, and had a ton of materials available. Two easily accessible gas stations are nearby for convenient re-fill after the rental. The team in Baraboo was friendly and helpful and provided great advice. The checkout and return went fast and I hope to use this location again and again in the future.

The comment below is reflection of the poor reservation management system. But the staff at the location were very friendly and helped me hooked up with the trailer really fast. I reserved the 4x8 trailer in Madison, but was asked to drive 45 min to Baraboo. THe whole point of reserving something is to make sure the equipment is available when you need them at the specific location. Had to change timing, plans to pick up the equipment far away -

The furniture pads, 15 in each UBox were sufficient for us but it was not the 24 in each box indicated on the rental.

The app doesn't work well at all. I am trying to sign in and it is asking me to set upy profile but doesn't let me complete that. Went to send me a 1 time verification sign in and it never sente a code. I am trying to order another uhaul but cannot complete my order online

Baraboo was fine. The one in Cedar Rapids Iowa got there alittle after closing and was under to get on the app to sign in U-Haul.

I called on the ph first and was shifted to different locations 2 times adding more time and travel to find one which was disappointing! Luckly I was just a few blocks from the Bellevue wis location and they were very helpful!! and they had 4 or 5 tow dollys on hand and I was told that they had none from the person on the phone (by a uhaul person), I would make a change there asap! people need help at a time like this not hassles. the guy at the store was great to work with ! give him a A+ from me!!!!

I suppose some people find thr app convenient but I prefer dealing with the staff rather than the app. The staff at this location are always helpful and efficient. Sometimes they know a better rate or deal that the app doesn't offer. Sometimes it's just the ease of checkout after a long day of moving. I don't want to take a bunch of pictures and fill things out on my phone.

It was POURING when I picked up the truck, would have been nice to be under the awning or in the open garage bay. The driver's seat was soaked. The truck leaked from the wheelwell. Our furniture was wet from the bottom when we arrived. When we informed at checkout, we were told it was probably from the door overhead. Nope, the water came from below. Nothing on top was wet. Check the seals.

Technician did not fully tighten trailer hitch which came off of the ball at 60mph on a 4 lane highway. Averted disaster but terrifying start to my move.

The entire building smells like pee and honestly it’s filthy inside. I would consider replacing the carpet out of there because it’s really gross. Also the area for community sharing needs to be monitored better it’s often things that smell like pee, or are filthy, and it really isn’t an inviting experience when you first walk in. Management otherwise is decent, the new store manager is nice, workers are helpful, etc

Customer service was horrible. Walked in to rent a truck and storage unit was told none (trucks)were available. He told us to go else where. Went to the car and went online to possibly reserve one because the guy inside was completely rude and didn’t even check to see if one was available and sure enough we could rent one and reserved. It went back inside and ask if there was a difference between reserving online and walkins and he stated no and proceeded to tell me that if it’s after 12 they will deny any reservation and then said I will do it this one time. Today as I drove past the same trucks that were there yesterday or still there, so did he really have reservations? Who knows? Worst customer service ever

Menards has better deals. Just as secure and I don’t have to worry about setting off an alarm that will cost me $1300 or moving the latch on my unit too many times and setting of another alarm that cost me $50.
