I've been renting from this location for the past 4yrs. The staff and management are great! The equip is always clean and well maintained. I'm sure they deal with some unruly customers at times, moving is stressful. The staff is always professional and accommodating. i returned my truck on nov 18 with appropriate gas and within my prepaid miles allotmentâ€¦i found i was charged for the 19th at $30 plus $47 in mileage plus $16 in gasâ€¦and then i was charged another $73 after thatâ€¦ maybe they were joyriding my truck, im not sureâ€¦what i am sure of is these charges should not have occurred and are now causing my credit score to drop as available credit total went downâ€¦ so, no, i wouldn't recommend them to an enemy let alone a friendâ€¦DAVID P.

Ordered a 15 foot truck, paid for a month in advance. The location to pick up the truck was an hour and a half away from the location I requested to pick up from. Uhaul refused to drive the truck closer to us. The only choice we had was to pick up a 10 foot 30 mins closer to us. We had to shove as much of our things as possible into the 10 foot truck. An absolutely impossible task for our 1000 mile drive. When it was time to return the truck we drove the truck to the closest Uhaul drop-off and told us we cannot drop it off there or we would have to pay the $1600 fine. Even though online it said the drop off location was optional. We had to drive another 45 miles to the dropoff location listed. Wasted so much time just driving the uhaul that we could have used for personal means. I will never request a Uhaul or recommend it to anyone I know ever again.Elijah A.

When I returned the truck, there was no outside to check the return, so I walked inside to get help. There was a guy behind the desk helping a customer. After a few minutes he told the customer to walk outside so he could show her something. I told him that I'm returning a truck that is parked outside, and if I should walk out with him to help me with the return and he replied in a smart ass and rude manner that he was helping someone. Few minutes later I walked outside to see if there was anyone else was there to help me, as it was getting close to closing time. I saw a woman near the truck that asked me if I was returning the truck. I replied, yes I am. Then she said, you left a drink in the car that need to remove it. I told her that it was an empty cup, and she could throw it away when she sanitized the truck. she said that wasn't her job. She must've been trained by the same guy I encountered earlier. Both smart ass, rude and should not be customer facing AT ALL. I will never rent from this place nor would I recommend it to anyone.Sam M.

I used the 24/7 process to rent, pickup, and return a U-Haul truck. I was very impressed by how easy and efficient the process was with just my iPhone and the U-Haul App. The U-Haul store at Belmont, CA has a large selection of trucks and trailers as well as moving supplies. The check put process was ok, though there were personal items in the vehicle and an unmarked damage that left un reported I might have been held responsible for. Its obvious that Uhaul does not care about customer service. Consumer law states that you must tell the customer when they return the equipment what the total charge is and you must give them a receipt on demand in writing. This location has a reputation of dishonesty and theft so we demanded a receipt showing the total charge. They did not want to give us a receipt and they told us not to rent at their location. I guess the state of California needs to be investigating Uhaul for their illegal business practices.George S.

U-Haul is doing something right. Upon arrival, we were met with employee David Bucio-Lopez. He was prompt and courteous, and had the car hauler trailer hooked up within 5 minutes. In addition, he went over all aspects of the trailer and ensured that it was hooked up correctly and that all lights worked. i reserved a truck, pickup via phone app. Truck i was to pickup was blocked by 6 other trucks, had to go inside (which i was trying to avoid) get another truck. given paper work for this other truck, which had wrong gas level indication on paper work, so i had to go back inside to get it corrected.Jose E.

I did all my original reservations on line. I signed up for the truck and storage unit. I have never rented a storage unit before and didn’t live in the area so I relied on the people making the reservations advise me on the size of the unit and any important information, like closing time. Issues that happened: we arrived to unload the I haul truck at 2 minutes to 5 and they said they were closing and couldn’t stay to do the paperwork since it was our first time to use the storage unit, no one told me that and we could have done the paperwork for the storage unit at the time we picked up the truck, but he never mentioned it. We then had to find a place to laid the filled truck because he wouldn’t even let us park it there. We then had to hire back the people that we had hired to unload the truck for the next day. The next day when we came back, they didn’t have the storage unit so reserved available, they rented it out since I made the reservation. They did find another one for us, unfortunately it was too small and I asked the person I made the reservation with what size they recommended for a one bedroom worth of furniture and boxes, I had no idea. It all fit in the truck I rented so i didn’t question the size of the unit she recommended, but the contents wouldn’t fit so they had to get me another one which was I’ve $100 more. To their credit, they are giving us the first month free for the inconvenience, but this was a very frustrating experience that could have been avoided with better communication on their part.joyce O. | First Impressions
