This was not our original drop off location. We were going to drop off in Jasper, AL but the location said they lost their contract 2 months prior (somehow still showing on your reservation software as a good location). There was not answer at other locations in Jasper we tried to contact, so due to time constraints we drove the truck back to Birmingham to the location we originally wanted to pickup from . Initially my order was at 28th street north Birmingham, al. I placed an order on Wednesday September 25th and received my confirmation. When I got to the uhaul store at 8:55 am because they were suppose to open at 9:00 am No one showed up u til 9:25 am. Also, I proceed in the store and was told they did not have my size truck available so I wasted an hour in a half trying to rent a truck when my moving people showed up on time and I had to pay them for the hours I was running around trying to find a truck. This was a horrible experience. They sent me to the valley avenue location where I was treated well.MARKEETA J.

If I am rating this solely on our check in experience - then it was great. The staff were very friendly and helped show us where our unit was and was very helpful in showing us the size options of the units. Fast forward to a week later - my husband drives over to drop off some items at the unit. Our code isn't working and he's confused as to why. Turns out we were "moved out of the system", our code was cancelled and a lock was put on our unit. Absolutely no notice whatsoever. Had we not shown up today our unit would have probably been sold, cleaned out, etc. And all of our belongings gone. Is it customary to move someone out without any notice whatsoever?!? He ended up having to resubmit all our information and start a new contract since our other one had been cancelled out. I felt terrible for the one young man that was working on a Saturday with a line of frustrated customers who were waiting to pick up their rentals at this location. Several customers including myself had received emails and texts saying to pick up our guaranteed rental at this location; however, the equipment that we rented was NOT available. The only thing the person working could tell us to do was to call the call bank number. We were on hold for a long time prior. EXTREMELY frustrating and time consuming. I know it was a break down with UHAUL in general, and not the poor kid working. I received several emails all with the correct time, rental equipment, etc., but the pick up location kept switching!!!
