I also had a 20 ft truck scheduled to rent on the 23rd. Your call center in Fargo ND called me 24hrs before the rental and told me I would have to go to Bowman ND to get the truck. I know they knew this well before the 22nd of June. This would have cost me almost a thousand dollars to go there and get this truck. The girl on the phone was rude and only started quoting rules. That does not help a customer that has already spend money and travel 1500 miles to get this truck in Bismarck. I cancelled the rental and went to Penske. I will never use Uhaul again. They gave me no help with this except to tell ask me if I had read the agreement. Very bad customer service. You could have told me when I reserved the truck that it would not be available. I know you knew then. The people in Bismarck are great but Uhaul customer service needs alot of work. I know you dont care about losing me as a customer but I bet with your current set up there will be more.wyatt W.

Maybe check the tires on your car trailer before allowing someone to take it on a 9 hour trip, but only 3 hours into the trip the trailer ends up blowing a tire while driving down the road; not to mention potentially damaging other vehicles driving on the highway or your own while being on the trailer. Then you try calling roadside assistance for help while being stranded on busy highway only to be told the only available replacement trailer is currently in Watertown, SD but you are stuck between Jamestown and Bismarck. Then you're told one of the store managers from U-Haul will be on his/her way to help solve the problem and ends up NEVER showing up effectively leaving you in 90 degree weather. After waiting three hours for someone from your company to come help me and dying from the extreme heat and hunger you become upset enough to back your car off of the trailer and head into the nearest small town hoping there is a small restaurant. This whole ordeal caused me to missed my interview at one of the major hospitals in Sioux Falls. I will never recommend anyone to rent any U-Haul projects along with refusing to rent one myself.Seth U.

24 hours prior to the day we were scheduled to pick the Uhaul up in Bismarck, I received a call stating that we would have to drive to Fargo and pick up the truck since it was not at the Bismarck location. When I replied they had 24 hours to get it to Bismarck, she stated â€œwe don't have the staff, or manpower to drive to Fargo. I was not happy with her unprofessionalism and lack of empathy. Don't change the drop off dates without informing the customer. Ensure the truck and trailer ARE IN GOOD WORKING CONDITION. No surprise price increases. I'm actually surprised my car and I arrived intact. That trailer wasn't safe. My next move WILL NOT be with U-Haul.Christine M.

Contract number 11150440. Bed of truck was very dirty. We used the truck to move decorations as it is a side business. We had sweep and swiffer the bed. I mentioned it when I returned it which was 3 hours later and the employee said they are understaffed. I texted the GM of this location Tyler and haven't heard back from him. The truck we got had a fuel leak we spent over 1100 in gas from ND to AZ when we finally discovered the issue they sent a mechanic out to fix it who told us we were very lucky because it could have ignited very easily. Also he attempted to fix it we were told it was ok to drive so i took it to the return location only to discover the leak was worse.Juan M.

I had confirmed a trailer by phone several days earlier and actually received a confirmation code by text that I didn't notice. Nonetheless, luckily they had the trailer I needed.Chris M.

I had made a reservation for a 20' box truck. Only to arrive in store after making the online reservation to be informed only a 15' truck was only available due to the other being "stolen" waited in store for 45mins. Only to receive a truck with no gas (less than the guaranteed 1/4tank of gas) importantly and concerning the parking brake was none operational. Customer support aswell instore employees were unhelpful and rude. The "uhaul $50 reservation guarantee" never was reimbursed nor reimbursed for the other services I had been specifically told I'd recieve a refund on.Alex W.

I scheduled a 5am remote pickup via the app. Once i got there, the app told me that the remote pickup had been selected for hand delivery and i had to wait until 7am when they opened. I had to wait 2 hours to get the truck putting me two hours behind an already very tight schedule. Once I got the truck, it only had 1/4 tank of gas. This is the third time I have rented from this location and I have had issues all three times. The first time they forgot to leave the keys for the Uhaul in the lockbox. The second time I was told last minute that they actually didn't have the truck I reserved. Now, this. I have not been pleased with the service provided and will likely go elsewhere for any future rentals.WILLIAM C.

I had spoken with an employee about me returning my rental after the 24 hour period and she said that would be okay, I just would be charged another day. Which I was totally fine with. But that employee didn't make a note on my account saying that I would have the U-Haul longer than 24 hours. So the next day I had to rush to unpack my stuff because I had received a call that I needed to return the U-Haul when I clearly had spoken with someone about having the rental for over 24 hours. My storage unit was broken into and I lost property. The store manager Kyle was not helpful, my insurance agent and I was unable to see video footage. There is a suspect and when she is caught, I am asking law enforcement to investigate the relationship between her and staff/manager. I believe this is an inside job. Uhaul advertises safe clean secure. Not secure at all. I cleaned my unit when I moved out. There is a large water puddle out side of my unit in the hall. Your clerk Ashley was super friendly, knowledgeable and helpful, but she seemed to be the only one there, so busy with 3 of us to take care of. She did an amazing job. The only complaints I had with the experience was, online it said I reserved a main level unit (2 showing available) but none were available when I got there so I had to take a lower level. The other was the access key, takes some learning with the many card swipe units available so a tutorial would have been helpful. Ashley showed me the basics but she could have used more counter help so she would have had more time to get in depth with the access key. That was not on her. Overall, very pleased. Thank you. First I was canceled on for my ubox's twice the day before they were to arrive. Then when I got my uhaul I was told to call and talk to a staff member at the storage location. I called and talked to a guy saying I will need storage in two days I'm driving up from idaho and I was told to call by uhaul to make sure there will be space the guy I talk to chuckled and said they will have space. I got to the storage and said I was told you guys will have room for my stuff when called the guy said ok. I told him what I was driving and asked what I would need he said he will only have 2 large units which will only fit my first truck. I then said well what can be done about the second truck. He then said I don't know what it will fit in I only have the small units left. I ask how many I will need to fit my truck load in. He said I don't know. I was like so you don't know what your storage units hold. He said yes but I don't know what you are needing storage so I can not say if it will fit. And then said I do not like your attitude. At this point I was still calm just talking harshly because the agent was not even making an effort to help me. But after he don't want to assist and didn't want to listen to misidentified or my frustrating experience. I then said oh OK let me tell you why I'm frustrated explained the canceled ubox and then the call that I made earlier. He then said but did you make a reservation. I'm like I did not say the word reservation but I spoke to someone saying want I need and when and when I got off the phone I thought it was taking care of. I then asked again what I need for my to trucks at this point he says I will not service you you need to leave. I was like really you have not done anything have not answered any of my questions and are completely un willing to help me I asked for the manager that was not there he gave me a card and told me to call the manager. I asked to use a phone to so since there was one right there oh and the. He finally did something and called the manager on his phone. Which the manager was not going to be in until 2pm I was frustrated at this time. And still continue to ask what I would need he still said I do not know what your hauling so I can not help you. At this point I had verbally ask if he is going to ask what I'm hauling so I can get help. He then said I don't know what you want from me. Really I only have been asking the whole time. So I said slowly are you going to ask me what I'm uhauling so you can help and actually help me. He then after the long time ever just trying to get some assistance said I will give you the 2 box to start with and then you can come back and order more if need be ..... so I said thank you that is all I want this whole time is some help and some effort on you part and this whole issue could have been resolved.Tiffany W. | First Impressions

But renting a truck with uhaul I never rent a truck for out state driving I was told I wasn't going to be charge for tolls or anything in my car nd after 2 months of renting I noticed I was getting charged every 2 weeks from 30 to 20 dollars at my debit card when I paid almost 1,800 dollars in cash nd I was told it includes toll nd mileage I end up paying almost 2,ooo after I noticed the charges on my debit card wich I went and changed my debit card to avoid charges I recommend do not give ur debit card when renting for uhaul nd if u do use a pre-paid master cardWILFREDO C. | Overall Experience

Waited about 20 mins before a staff even came to front desk. Yelled in garage but no one still only to have worker come out of bathroom and was rude. I've had good experiences with other workers but this worker was on the phone first time I went to open storage and i had to keep repeating myself to him. The online process is very easy and I appreciated it. Maybe the only improvement could be the possibility to choose which unit among those available? Because I have now 2 units, one on the 2nd and one one the basement floors. The human factor is less than ideal. There was no lock in either room, although the emails from the online booking specified it, and I had to purchase those. Every time I had a problem ( and I had many related to the in person renting process, as well as with the online ) the wait on the phone call for customer service was more than 1/2 hr and the person could not solve my problem ( the first time she could not even understand it). Kyle Wright sucks at managing this place. He had charged me for a late fee of $15, twice before the 6th day of the month. It clearly states $15 after the first and $15 again after the 15th day of the month late rent. So I had to pay extra just to get into my storage, and when I went in to get a bag out of my storage he stated he was going to call the cops because I wasnt allowed to go into my own things/storage without paying first which I told him I had paid that day and to go head and call who ever because I had proof I paid online. And then I finally closed me storage with them last month and now almost 2 weeks later he has charged me a " $25 cleaning fee" on my card which was only removing a 2 queen size mattresses. When I was closing out my account I had told the young man who closed my account for me they were in there and I couldnt get them out by myself because I am 8 and a half almost 9 months pregnant now and he said he would take care of that for me. Now to see Kyle is charging me $25 for that is ridiculous. This storage is way over priced and the manager, Kyle, is not fit to be running businesses where he can just rip people off like that and feels like he can do as he pleases with others money. Especially during this pandemic. He is a awful and I hope he gets replaced or demoted overall.
