I received no instruction on how to adjust the seat or steering wheel. I was not shown where the gas tank was. Gas station person and I had to check all over the vehicle before we found it. I drove 5 miles and was told to put in at least one gallon of gas before returning! More instruction on the van would have been very helpful.

The GM is the one who gave us our vehicle. She was great. When we brought it back we parked in the wrong spot so the worker wouldn't help us until we parked the vehicle were he wanted it.

I returned the truck at night. So I had to put my reception in the drop box with the keys. That was my only copy of the reception so when I tried to return the unused boxes I purchased I couldn't because I needed a receipt

After being told I would get my money back for returning early not requiring additional time or insurance I was denied. Not only did they get the trailor back early to rent out, they also had the insurance payment of $11.00 a day. I am not happy!

I was told I had to pay a deposit when I rented a trailer to move some furniture while I stayed there.Never got deposit back.I also rented a trailer from Fort madison iowa to buelah nd for 120$.That was Almost 900 mi.I rented a trailer to go from buelah to lake charles la and it cost me about 800$That's twice the mileage and 5× the money.I'm gonna buy me a trailer to get ready for my next move.

60000 mi. Nice truck, clean but somebody was a heavy smoker. Didn't notice it right away until I started down the road. Windows had to be cleaned inside(smoke residue) eyes & sinuses burned. Should instate "No smoking" policy . Otherwise nice truck, drove well.

Every time I've returned a truck including this past time, I've had to go searching for an employee. I stand there for a couple minutes waiting with no one around. One time, an employee was going out to walk her dogs and completely ignored me when I brought the truck back. The employees at this location need to learn about good customer service.

Waited in line for 45 min just to drop off a tow dolly! Only one guy working behind the till. The other guy behind till moved like a snail was worthless! Than a girl got behind till let a friend of hers cut in front of all of us. Was ready to drop the trailer in the middle of the lot and leave! After an hour I finally got out of that mad house!!!!

They did not have enough staff for this particular pick up time. There was one woman working the desk and one other gentleman around to help with things. It didn't take me too long to get things finished, but I felt bad that they were stuck with so much to do all at once!

The guy running the front desk rented me a 10' truck. I had specified that there be a ramp and was told that all trucks have a ramp. Upon arrival at my destination, I called and asked how to open it. He gave me directions and there was no ramp. He had to go outside and verify that the 10' trucks didn't have one. There are only a handful of truck sizes, a person working there should know the few options available. I expressed my dissatisfaction and told him I couldn't come back, that maybe he could send someone down. His exact words were, "Well maybe you should just come up here and work for us" and denied I had talked to him the day before or that I had asked for a ramp because it wasn't in the notes. I told him I would speak to the manager on Monday about the truck. When I returned the truck later that day I asked for a receipt for the final amount after the mileage had been calculated. His response was, "sure, whatever". Completely unprofessional. I should have went to KOA and rented a more expensive truck just to have better service. FYI I am a long standing customer with a ton of rentals.

The young gentleman that was in the unload dock was very rude. He didn't communicate with you and I felt lost and didn't know what to do stood inside for ten minutes looked out the window and it was unhooked he looked at me and I asked if there was anything else and he just says no and walks off. No thank you or nothing.

You could begin by instructing your managers to be honest with your customers. The woman who said she was the manager knew the parameters of what I needed, but chose to blame the outlet who had made the reservation. I have U-Hauled across the country on three occasions and have never met with the kind of mercenary, don't give a damn if they piss you off people populating the store in question here. Even the "lot boy", who rolled his eyes and did not give me the time of day when asked a question, to the manager who evaded the truth of the size of the load bed and who justified it by saying she didn't know what I needed, when I told her personally what I needed to do. I have spent thousands of dollars at your business outlets from here to California and there have beens problems encountered along the way, but these problems were dealt with professionalism and a smile. That is what brings customers back to U-Haul. Your Bismarck location on Interstate will never see a nickle of my business in the future. Steven Putaturo, Bismarck, ND. (719)289-8245

Increased customer service in place of continued excuses and a more efficient system for reservations. They should not overlap as frequently as was said. This being said, I appreciate the time invested and wish your business the best of luck as you continue.
