Reserved the largest uhaul available for 3 days and received my email confirming it had been received. Later in the afternoon the day before pickup I had still not received my 24 hour confirmation call/email so I called the 800 number to confirm. The person who answered the call forwarded my call to the "local" store who confirmed my reservation. Upon arrival to pickup the uhaul the employee at the counter (who was the only pleasant and understanding person we worked with) became concerned when she pulled up the details of our reservation. She stated that the large truck we reserved was overbooked because it can not be reserved for more than 1 day and she would have to take to a manager. She returned without the manager who had decided communicating with customers was not part of his job description and informed me that they would not be renting the truck to us because we needed it for too long and offered us a much smaller truck for the same price. At this point I requested to speak to the manager who we had to walk through the lot to find. The manager gave us a canned and patronizing response implying that our reservation was for too long and he'd be happy to cancel our reservation. I tried to explain to him multiple times that nothing had changed with our reservation and we had a confirmation that the truck was available and it was unacceptable to pull it out from under us at the last minute when we needed to have it. This was met by more cold and automatic repetition of the same canned response and implication that our reservation was somehow unreasonable. At this point we determined to rent the smaller truck as we had no other options. I explained that this was going to cause us to spend much more money as we would have to make more trips, cause more loading and unloading as we would have to deliver all of our belongings to an intermediary location between the closings of our homes, and was going to be an incredible waste of time we didn't have. I felt that it was unreasonable to expect the same price with no consideration to the extra trouble we were being put through. Once again we were told they are happy to cancel our reservation. At this point I would have been more than happy to walk away and forget that uhaul existed had it not been for the bind I had been placed in and complete lack of time to make other arrangements so we begrudgingly rented the truck. When arriving home we noticed, despite the fact the truck was plastered in threats to charge $25 for any cleaning that would have to be done to the truck upon its return, that garbage was left crammed under the seat. All in all this has been a horrible experience and has made our stressful move all the more difficult, I will not recommend using uhaul to anyone.

Employee did not give me physical copy of the contract. Verbally told me that I needed to return uhaul with 3/4s tank of fuel, after return I see emails stating 7/8ths tank. More importantly, I was told I could not rent a truck if I did not drop it off an additional 90minutes away. I had to drive for an additional 3hours total. Eric ng to drop off I had to tow my vehicle so I had a way home. This caused excessive fuel use, and a huge waste of my time. I ended up with additional milage charges as well, not a lot but this is ridiculous. I did receive a $50 credit, but this just covers the travel expenses of driving and does not credit me anything for the time. Considering I saved them dropping the truck off themselves, it seems like a slap in the face to save them hundreds in expenses and waste hours of my time for such a pretty amount.

Personnel need training. Didn't know if I have a free month of storage coming. Elevator stopped working nobody new what to do. After I left it set for 20 minutes it started working again. Very frustrating after driving all day. I feel I should get some compensation for the hassle I went through.

I /we were very disappointed in the service 1st of all I requested a 20ft truck we received a call late the Evening before we were picking up at another location and was told it wouldn't be available So it was a scramble to find a truck Once we found a truck for use an it was smaller than requested It was picked up in Bismarck and we had to return it back into Bismarck Sunday afternoon Upon returning the truck we have misplaced the Apt.Key and post office Keys an was trying get ahold of the Bismarck Office trying see if they got left in the truck or office with NO RETURN CALLS An we still need travel back into Fargo for remaining items not able to load during this time of truck rental

When I filled up vehicle right before I dropped it off I filled it up so that it was between 3/4 of a tank and full which would mean 7/8 of a tank. you say It was 3/4 of a tank which it was over I know for sure. Also had to drive to Williston to get truck, which was out of my way. My farm is 10 miles outside of Bowbells so I needed to drive there twice which I know wasn't the plan so I went over 25 miles that I can't argue with but I would of thought in lieu of nit picking $10 for miles or $10 for extra few gallons of gas you guys would let it go but I guess you have to make as much money has you can. it's not even worth it I would of thought you guys would feel the same. not good service and don't agree with it.
