The employee. Terfa Christian, was excellent! Very friendly, helpful, and went the extra mile in what is a very busy location. He never made me feel rushed, and was super professional! Highly recommended location AND staff! My only suggestion was lack of running boards on the pick up truck. Being a short Senior Citizen, having these would have been very helpful in getting in and out of the truck. Other than that, my experience was awesome and very smooth! Good job!terri S.

My reservation was canceled less than 24 hours before I was supposed to pick up my pickup truck and 6X12 trailer. After this, Uhaul had us take a 10' cargo truck along with a 6X12. I saw they had a 15' cargo truck that looked available but I was told that an employee had it reserved. This resulted in my gas bill almost doubling. When I received the truck, there were chips and snacks all over behind the seats. An improvement of the reservation system seems needed.Christopher M.

Uhaul has the worst customer service I've ever encountered. We were called 20 hours before we were supposed to pick up our truck and told there was not a truck available for us. We then had to do a work around and rent an "in town" truck, which meant we had to deliver it back to the Bozeman location. HUGE INCONVENIENCE. How can Uhaul just call you and tell you they dont have a truck for you, when you have a registration confirmation and everything? I seriously cannot believe they do that to people. On top of that, the truck we rented had thick black grease all over the rim, but it was the only truck available, so we had to spend money out of our own pocket on product to make sure the truck would make it to our destination and back. Uhaul didn't even offer to look at it or reimburse us for what we bought. What a joke. Again, worst customer service I've ever encountered. I can't believe they can just call you less than a day before your reservation and tell you they don't have a truck for you so you're out of luck.DOUGLAS L.

I had made a reservation for a 6 by 12 to pick up at noon at this location and was told upon arrival that there was not one available. What is the point of a reservation if on isn't available! They never answer their phones at this location. Had a flat tire and called roadside service too. I was on hold for 45 minutes. Left a number for them to call and they never did. I changed the tire myself and had to buy a tire elsewhere as a spare because no one would answer their phones at uhaul. When I returned the truck they gave me a number to call for reimbursement. We made a reservation many weeks in advance for a 20 foot Uhaul to be picked up on a specific date. When we arrived, there was no truck available at the location we originally booked; so we had to travel 40 miles away to Bozeman and wait another day than planned. We had a very short window of time for moving someone out of a home and not being able to rely on our reservation was more than frustrating. Please when taking a reservation have the truck available. I had to get a smaller truck and could not get all my stuff I had to move. I also rented/bought extra items thinking I was going to have to move more furniture but I couldn't use any of it because I could fit it in the truck. Terrible logistics on Uhaul's part- Wanting me to drive for hours across Montana so I could go get the right size truck. Ridiculous. No discounts given. I've used you guys twice now for my moves and this second time sucked. Also the truck needed an oil change according to the dashboard and I drive almost the entire way without it.Judith T.
I've been over charged and my boxes didn't show up when they were supposed to. Uhaul didn't know where they were either. Horrible experience. No one is working or answering phones. I lost 4 whole days trying to contact someone and understand where my belongings were. This was extremely stressful and unnecessarily. Reservation was changed from Saturday pick up to Sunday pick up on Friday evening. Unable to contact anyone locally. Waited in line for an hour to pick up regardless of online check-in. Details of a call with Sheree (sp??) Sunday June 19 who I found out later was new in the Billings call center, we're not recorded in notes, and therefore I was disappointed when no one later knew these details. She could not provide a delivery of a UHaul Box to my house in Emigrant and instead suggested I rent a UHaul truck to load my items and take them myself to the Bozeman UHaul location. I made it clear that I did not want to load my things twice, and by the end of the call she agreed that the Bozeman location would move my things into the UHaul box once I delivered them. When I came Monday June 20 to get the truck Dylan was very confused by what Sheree had set up and ended up charging me more than what Sheree had said. He was unsure of the plan for UHaul employees to move my things when I returned with the truck but he didn't confirm this with anyone and did not inform me it wouldn't happen. Then when I did return with the truck and my loaded items, Jake and Michael informed me that they had never heard of my arrangement and it could not be done, and while they were somewhat sympathetic to me they still refused to honor what Sheree had promised. Michael said â€œI would complain. This kind of thing has been happening a lot lately.â€ At the end of this it made the experience a hassle, stressful and I had to come by the next day to load my items a second time into the UHaul box, so a waste of my time from my point of view. Not what I wanted. Not what I was told would happen. I would like someone to make this right for me. I was told to call Patrick to complain but I have yet to do this.Charles P.

The price was way too high for the size of Unit. Only rented it because it was the only thing available within 30 miles. The closing time of 7pm made it very difficult to access with my work schedule, they never fixed the alarm system in the 3 months I rented. The facility kept our things safe and dry and the staff is great, so 5 stars in that regard. But the move out experience was frustrating. We cleaned it, submitted our photos and move out request online. One week later the request was still pending and they had charged our account for the next month plus a late fee. It started when I needed a small storage unit. Priced as advertised on the wall and in flyers differ. One employee gave me a coupon for one month free and the other said it was not valid unless I had driven a rental truck. One employee assigned me a small unit after another and several were with belongings of customers that were held up because of lack of payment. Eventually she gave me a slightly bigger unit. I had already paid for the smaller unit and understood it to be your policy that if a smaller unit (the one the client wanted) is unavailable then the next one up is given at the lower price. A month later when I get a bill it is $30 higher than expected. I go ask several times in person and I am always told that the supervisor will take care of lowering my bill, that I just need to swing by when she is in. Eventually I coincide with her but she says, in a short manner, that she will not adjust anything and that the higher fee was to remain. As soon as I could I emptied the unit and cancelled my contract. You understaff the facility too, whenever one goes the line is short but customer care takes forever.Carlos I. | Overall Experience

I chose to get a uhaul to get the storage offer. After my long trip I stopped by to drop it off and unload my things. They sold my storage, didn't have me on file and gave me a 5x5 instead for a packed 6x12 trailer and a filled suburban. I had to extend my trailer time and pay 80 for a different storage mentioned by the staff. So now I've paid more than double what I was contracted.BRANNON R. | First Impressions
Here's the small thing first. You might want to update and revise your wording on office hours and access hours. I was under the impression that after checking into my unit that I had until 10pm access my unit. While moving my things into my units(argh!) I was told I needed to be out by 7pm... I was moving cross country and got there at 5:30pm. Here's the big one. I reserved one of your biggest units since I had a lot of stuff. I called 2 or 3 hours ahead of arrival to make sure everything was in order and was assured by the lady everything was and the unit was ready. When I got there I was told that my reserved big unit was not available like I was assured and have paperwork on. It was to be on first floor as well so my 75 year old father didn't have to take stairs. I was offered 2 smaller units that barely allowed my furniture to fit nicely and not pretty much everything is just thrown in these two units because of size constraints and time allowed. My plan for the big unit was to make everything accessable to me when needed, it is not. Why have reservations for your units if you can't honor them? Again I called to confirm 2-3 hours before my arrival and was assured that it was there waiting for me! I would have looked elsewhere, but couldn't take the time to do so on account of the time I arrived, returning back from Seattle, and that the trailer was due back in Laurel the next day. The two guys that were helping me we're fine even though I was quite frankly very angry at this situation. They did try to help as much as possible. I could rattle on and on over this, I will end with I am great disappointed with u-haul and its failure to honor its word. I expect more from the people here in MT.Tate S. | First Impressions

The staff here are young guys which is fine. Not sure if it’s because they are very busy. But just not overly kind or friendly. We have 3 units in Pleasanton CA where we live. It’s spotless And has a courteous staff. 2 weeks into having this unit I received a phone call from a young man there letting me know he had let a patron inadvertently cut our lock off thinking it was his unit I could not understand why it wasn’t one of the workers there. His response to me was mistakes happen. Then tells me keys are hung up on the wall for the new lock. I asked him to please put them in the safe and that I would have. A friend come pick them up.
