On line I reserved a 6 x 12 trailer when I got to bozeman rental they had at least five or six of those sized enclosed trailers. They would not rent one of those trailers to me because they were all set aside for one way travels. They told me that all of the in town in closed rentals were in use I then had to change my order to an open 6 x 12 trailer I was not very pleasedLeslie H.

Truck was not acceptable. Heater didn't work. Brakes were inconsistent. Interior cab was gross. High beam lights didn't work. Regular lights barley lit up the road. Why was this truck even still in operation?!!DylanJames P.
Fuel the trucks. Renting a truck with a quarter tank of gas, makes it so the customer has to fuel it before they even get out of town, stupid. Truck had bad wiper blades, the blower motor was going out, so no heat, and it was covered in ice, so I had to crawl on top before I left so I wouldn't damage someone's vehicle on the interstate. Site wouldn't rent a smaller truck, pickup or van for one way move, even though they had the trucks. I looked online and could rent any of them local, just not for a one way trip.Douglas F.

There was no windshield washer fluid and we were driving at night over a snow covered road. We had asked for 2 doz blankets. I helped them knock ice off the trailer and in doing all that failed to ask for the blankets. When I called they told me to drive back (had loaded my car on the trailer). A review of the order should be done to assure nothing is forgotten.Charles D.

It's a real inconvenience to pick up a rental truck that doesn't have a full tank of gas. Not only is it a time waster but more difficult to bring it back at the level it was upon pickup, inevitably forcing me to return with an extra gallon or two of fuel.Michael M.

First off everything was fine until I called the day before I was suppose to return the equipment to ask for a late return, I just drove 19hours straight and needed some sleep. the guy on the phone said no problem, just have it back before 3pm that's the next reservation. I said no problem. Then at 9am I get a call and a voicemail saying I didn't return the truck and they need me to call to tell them what's going on. So I call and talk to another guy and tell him I spoke with a guy yesterday at 12:26pm (call log) that I needed more time on my drop off day. He said ok. Then 2 hours later I get ANOTHER CALL!!!!! Saying where is the truck!? I literally went over it AGAIN!!!! Then I was 2 hours after my original drop off Time and I ask the guy â€œhey since it was a nightmare dealing with all you guys not doing your jobs correctly, calling me too many times after I overly communicated, can you wave the extra day charge?â€ This rude teenager Was like no, it's been 2 hours. We can't. So 2 hours, but the next people weren't coming for 3 more hours and I cleaned the truck and gave you guys more gas then what I got!! I just walked out! All these immature little boys running this uhaul place have to be the most unprofessional, rude people I have ever seen. What's waving 2 hours?? After harassing a customer 3 calls within a few hours. Not one of them made it right. It's unreal. How hard is it to have some real customer service?? 5 days before I needed a truck I reserved a truck online to be picked up at this location at 1:30PM. The truck I was supposed to get was already rented to someone else and they were to return at 3:00 PM. I did not get the truck until 5:00 PM. Our first experience at the second store in Spokane when we went to pick up our trailer was awesome. Both men were almost off work but allowed us to pick up trailer early. Answered all our questions and treated us with such patience. Even while scheduling trying to accommodate our challenge in traveling cross country. The man at the Bozeman store was incredible,went above and beyond making sure we could keep same trailer even though it was scheduled to be picked up. Made calls for us and we were able to take it to next amazing place in Bentonville. The man came out to us already knowing who we were and took great care of us and our needs.JEremy P.

This was my second time using this location for a Uhaul rental. My first truck had a fuel guage that was finicky, therefore, I ended up having to put more gas in the truck than I used to begin with. My second truck rental had a cracked windshield. It would be nice if this location did a better job of maintaining their fleet of trucks. Service here was, otherwise pretty good.Dennis B.

We were unable to pick up pod for three days because the forklift driver did not show up to work. The staff at this store just shrugged and said sorry. We were not compensated in any way for not having our pod for three days. Poor customer service.Valerie M.

My bad experience started after I set up my storage. It's the highest -priced storage facility in town, so you would think their online account system would be flawless. That's not the case. The truck was clean but the drivers side sunshade was loose and consistently fell down during driving. It was a bit dangerous. I don't think it's the facilities fault since these trucks come and go everywhere, but someone should fix it for the safety of the next driver.Theodore G.

We had to go to Bozeman Mt. from Helena Mt. 100 plus miles to pick up the u-haul, I reserved one over a month ago 26 foot, got a 20 foot instead because they didn't have my 26 foot. Then the one we got ran like crap, power steering was all messed up, brakes were very bad, and took forever to climb hills. I'm very disappointed and will not ever get a U-haul again. The price was way too high for the size of Unit. Only rented it because it was the only thing available within 30 miles. The closing time of 7pm made it very difficult to access with my work schedule, they never fixed the alarm system in the 3 months I rented. The facility kept our things safe and dry and the staff is great, so 5 stars in that regard. But the move out experience was frustrating. We cleaned it, submitted our photos and move out request online. One week later the request was still pending and they had charged our account for the next month plus a late fee. It started when I needed a small storage unit. Priced as advertised on the wall and in flyers differ. One employee gave me a coupon for one month free and the other said it was not valid unless I had driven a rental truck. One employee assigned me a small unit after another and several were with belongings of customers that were held up because of lack of payment. Eventually she gave me a slightly bigger unit. I had already paid for the smaller unit and understood it to be your policy that if a smaller unit (the one the client wanted) is unavailable then the next one up is given at the lower price. A month later when I get a bill it is $30 higher than expected. I go ask several times in person and I am always told that the supervisor will take care of lowering my bill, that I just need to swing by when she is in. Eventually I coincide with her but she says, in a short manner, that she will not adjust anything and that the higher fee was to remain. As soon as I could I emptied the unit and cancelled my contract. You understaff the facility too, whenever one goes the line is short but customer care takes forever.Carlos I. | Overall Experience

I chose to get a uhaul to get the storage offer. After my long trip I stopped by to drop it off and unload my things. They sold my storage, didn't have me on file and gave me a 5x5 instead for a packed 6x12 trailer and a filled suburban. I had to extend my trailer time and pay 80 for a different storage mentioned by the staff. So now I've paid more than double what I was contracted.BRANNON R. | First Impressions
Here's the small thing first. You might want to update and revise your wording on office hours and access hours. I was under the impression that after checking into my unit that I had until 10pm access my unit. While moving my things into my units(argh!) I was told I needed to be out by 7pm... I was moving cross country and got there at 5:30pm. Here's the big one. I reserved one of your biggest units since I had a lot of stuff. I called 2 or 3 hours ahead of arrival to make sure everything was in order and was assured by the lady everything was and the unit was ready. When I got there I was told that my reserved big unit was not available like I was assured and have paperwork on. It was to be on first floor as well so my 75 year old father didn't have to take stairs. I was offered 2 smaller units that barely allowed my furniture to fit nicely and not pretty much everything is just thrown in these two units because of size constraints and time allowed. My plan for the big unit was to make everything accessable to me when needed, it is not. Why have reservations for your units if you can't honor them? Again I called to confirm 2-3 hours before my arrival and was assured that it was there waiting for me! I would have looked elsewhere, but couldn't take the time to do so on account of the time I arrived, returning back from Seattle, and that the trailer was due back in Laurel the next day. The two guys that were helping me we're fine even though I was quite frankly very angry at this situation. They did try to help as much as possible. I could rattle on and on over this, I will end with I am great disappointed with u-haul and its failure to honor its word. I expect more from the people here in MT.Tate S. | First Impressions

The staff here are young guys which is fine. Not sure if it’s because they are very busy. But just not overly kind or friendly. We have 3 units in Pleasanton CA where we live. It’s spotless And has a courteous staff. 2 weeks into having this unit I received a phone call from a young man there letting me know he had let a patron inadvertently cut our lock off thinking it was his unit I could not understand why it wasn’t one of the workers there. His response to me was mistakes happen. Then tells me keys are hung up on the wall for the new lock. I asked him to please put them in the safe and that I would have. A friend come pick them up.
