However, we were disappointed that when we needed to move out only 6 days after the monthly payment due date, NO PARTIAL REFUND at all was allowed. THIS INFO SHOULD BE MADE AWARE UP FRONT INSTEAD IF TELLING US AT THE TIME WE MOVE OUT THAT U-HAUL POLICY IS NO REFUNDS. When we then placed a call to customer service, it sounded as though the general manager could make the call as to whether any of the amount could be prorated if he chose, but since he heard the conversation and didn’t offer to assist it was obvious he would not choose to to. The employee told us they would have given a full refund up to 3 days past the due date, but NO amount prorated after that. TERRIBLE POLICY U-HAUL!

And two the staff they need to go to school and learn what customer service is all about. And three they change the access hours to the storage building at any given time they would change it I mean I got pictures I don't know exactly the timeline on how they would change it how fast whatever but it will change it seem like from I want to say month to month if not ever 2 months to change. I am now this is directed to corporate you know sometimes people run into a little hard spot and a little bit late on paying something it was as long as you got your money and get your money for the end of the calendar year it doesn't hurt to work with people from you know they might be a little bit short you know what I'm pay you so much in catch you up for about a month or whatever as long as it all caught up by the end of the calendar year but you people won't work nobody you let greed get in your way and I can understand not doing it for people with the poor payment history with you as far as not paying you at all but if somebody's making Force the effort to pay go to work with just a little bit I mean it ain't going to kill you as long as I said you get your money in full by the end of the calendar year. And you got one business day to get your stuff out of our unit well sometimes you got to find help somebody you know to help you not just threatening you know one day then I'm going to lock you out and throw your stuff out like I got threatened at that facility and you're to give a discount instead of raising the rent for people that pay their bill.

The app need to be adjusted to stop automatically putting you on auto pay everytime you just make a payment. Even tho I would unchecked the box for auto pay. I shouldn't have to do that every month for three years. The late fees were assigned at 12am in the 5 th day. So techniquely when it shud be by end of business day on the 5th. So sometimes my pay isn't in my acct by the 5th so I would have to pay late most months. And with the units being charged up every 3 months then you increase the late fees as well, it just doesn't make sense to use your company. I moved out of my units after 3 yrs and moved into another company that actually is 50 more but TWICE the size. Will not recommend. My mother in FL did the same thing . Moved because of the increase and app putting her on auto pay.

The move was stressful (no surprise to anyone) and I called a couple of times along the way. The staff continued to reassure me that my unit would be available even if I was later than expected. The one area of potential improvement was the wait time on the phone due to activity levels. I consider that an HQ problem and not local staff.

The tenants had left unwanted junk and trash in this area from their units and the floor was sticky with a brown substance the last time I was there. Past those doors, the facility was really clean. Only thing that could make it better would be a loading dock that lines up with the height of a truck or van for loading and onloading heavy items. Come to think of it, they may have and we just didn't see it. I really liked that they have a room for people to leave furniture or items they no longer want or need so you can "shop" and take something you need. Love to see a good recycle/reuse in operation. That is very cool perk at this location.

The U-Haul agents were "out of this world" helpful and kind! I have only good things to say about my entire experience with them. *** My initial voyage around the gutted out KMART store was not scenic at all. Brand new partitions lined from wall to wall. Clean, dry, well-lit building. I could NOT find my cubicle! Luckily, the nice cleaning lady informed me I was in the "Do it Yourself" section and I needed to explore the "Toys" section to find my spot. I knew exactly where to go. Away I went! Past the "Kitchen Korner," a 90 degree turn by "One Hour Photo" then a stroll through "Lay-a-Way" and VOILA....I FOUND MY SPOT! Happy I was to release my baggage! The best feeling ever! THANK-YOU U-HAUL! I was delighted with my experience!

On a separate note, the recommendation by uhaul for a third party to offload my items, was a disaster. The worst experience. It was over a year ago. I did find a new company to load up all the goods to my new home, and clear out the Uhaul storage. I found a company in Elizabethton TN called Bennett Movers. They were also absolutely the best movers. They treated my personal items as theirs. It was the most enjoyable move experience.

Kerrie C | Overall ExperienceI would give this area a much higher rating if the loading/unloading garage areas were available, they have everyone walking from the main entrance and placing people in storage units all the way at the end of the building I'd rather not have to do more hard work after I've already been moving all day. So I was dissatisfied with the fact they won't let you use the garage bays for unloading, also when i tried to disarm my unit at the main entrance it let me but then it kept denying me access to get in the door. Luckily there was still someone on site that could put her numbers in and hold the door open long enough for me to get in but even she couldnt tell me why it was denying me access to the door but letting me check in and out. 24 hour access would be nice as well.

When soliciting someone for assistance of any kind it should be on the person's terms that you are soliciting from. So if I choose not to answer any of the questions above it should be taken at face value and I should not have to complete a survey in its entirety. Any information that I choose to give you should be good enough. Your customer service lacks because of these types of demands that you're placing on consumers. A customer feels that their boundaries are not being respected because when given opportunities to answer certain questions should they choose not to answer them but forcing them to complete a survey you're not building proper trust and relationships with your customers by doing so. Naturally this will probably fall on deaf ears and toss into a pile somewhere to which it will not be taken to heart and thus the brand loyalty and trust continue to decline.

This is deceiving marketing and fraudulent. Website says first month is free with one way truck or trailer rental. I will not be staying more than this month.

Staff could have explained it instead of just handing me the card with no instructions. Access hours are suppose to be 24hrs but access stops at 10pm. Not happy about that either

There was even mold found on some of my stuff and I had to throw it out and get it replaced even though they have air conditioning. Will not be using this location again :)

Could not get anyone at the facility itself to answer the phone, when they did answer the phone they hung up on us without saying a word. In addition I called they hundred number for U-Haul and spoke to a tech they told me oh well you’ll just need to go in there, first that wasn’t what I was told when I got to the building I was told I could cancel online or via telephone second I have Covid I can’t just go in there. In addition it show me owing for September and for October, I moved out August 30 oh nothing. It took nine days before I received my cancellation receipt, the customer service with U-Haul is terrible.

Over charged by $265, drove 1hr 2x to get credit Could not do it, then attempted 2 credits 1st for 104.95. Wrote it for 10,495!!!!! Then to rectify charged me 10,495. Due to this my cc co had to reduce available credit. The CHARGE HIT IMMEDIATELY BUT NOT THE CREDIT!!!! Upset disgusted least how I feel

edie c | Overall ExperienceI moved out of the storage unit on the 19th of the month, I paid for the full month on the 15th and was not reimbursed for the balance of the month, the rent should have been pro rated for the month, I had my rent set up on auto payment and for 9 months my rent was paid on time. This is not the way to treat good customers, I also rented several trucks and trailers from this location. I don't believe I will use them again in the future

thomas l | Overall ExperienceThe facility is climate controlled. You back your vehicle into a secure 2 bay area and use a keycard to open the doors to the facility. Once inside you find carts for your use, as well as security beyond what you would expect. If someone tries to open your unit without first scanning your keycard to gain entry an alarm sounds and security is alerted. UHaul seems to have this storage thing covered!
