The site said there was no available trucks until 4:30, but there were 4 on the lot. When picking up the truck, the staff was complaining about another customer. The staff said they needed to restart the reservation because the person who reserved the truck was different than the driver. All the pre registration to â€œsave timeâ€ was a waste of time. The truck assigned to us was parked in front of two other trucks, so I could not get it out. The person sent to move the trucks, decided it would be better to just change the reservation to the truck that was accessible. When given the keys, the link sent was not for the truck I was taking so I could not complete the pre check. They finally updated the reservation to the right vehicle and I was able to leave. That was over 30 minutes after I was being charged for with the vehicle. The drop off was very smooth and easy. The lot employee was very helpful.Angelique P.

I make a reservation on Monday for pick up a truck Wednesday 7.30 am S Cleveland other store 9 + miles away . . Got there 7.30 am on Wed. General Manager told me he don't have a truck for me. And give me a number to call ???? He is supposed take care the customer???? . No body call me and let me know they cancel my reservation or don't have a truck available. At the end I spend more mileage 20+ and more than a hour in traffic back and forth. That's bad customer serviceEdwind G.

The truck I rented was new, only 2900 m I'llles in it but it really smelled like an ashtray. I asked if they don't spray but didn't get any help with it. It wasn't too bad with windows open but with to hem closed my allergies were really bothering me.Diane M.

The woman working customer service was very unpleasant she had a nasty attitude and was no help what so ever. I had booked a reservation for a van with my a debit card and was unaware I need a major credit card for a van but not for a box truck which is what I originally wanted she sent me away and said nothing she could do. I went out side and call uhaul and in less than 5 mins I was given a new reservation for a 10" box truck at the same location 10 mins after I had just left. So I went back to the uhaul place and she was just nasty claiming I didn't have a reservation which I did and how it was bs they give me a reservation when it was already booked at 3 else. Then she decided to tell me more than twice if I'm a min late shes calling the cops and reporting it missing. She was so rude if I wasn't desperate need for the box truck I would have left and used someone else bc how rude of an employee U-Haul has.Gregory F.

This location saved the day after I had a miserable experience at the UHaul in Fort Myers. I did learn from this experience that UHaul does not know the meaning of the words "reservation" and "guarantee", but am thankful the staff at the North Fort Myers location was able to at least make my move happen without too much inconvenience.BRADLEY F.

1. Honor a reservation. I reserved 2 days before pick up but there was not a vehicle available for me. I was told I could go 19 miles out of my way (RT) for one 2. Don't sneak in extra charges. The bottle-blonde chick at the desk was rude. Not just to me, to every person I saw or heard her speak to. She comes across as extremely lazy and creating a negative and hostile working environment. Re: storage. The one thing I needed most was to plug in a small chest freezer to preserve a few thousand dollars worth of meat. There was no power connection in the unit. There were no lights on the 2nd floor where my items were stored. I was not informed of this until I arrived in the building. Finding my unit in the dark was next to impossible and I went around wandering the floor, losing track of the people who came up after me in my party. I wandered alone in the dark for 20 minutes, it was basically a scene out of a horror movie, trying to echo locate the people helping me move. As a young women, I did not appreciate this experience. When speaking with the person on the intercom to ask if there was a light switch, or why the lights weren’t working, the person who answered was rude and curt, and told us the lights were working in the rest of the building like that mattered considering my unit was on the floor that was without lights. Although we did find out that the lights were down due to a lightning strike, Not even the emergency lights were on. The person offered no help and basically said, deal with it. An offer to move the unit or bring up a flashlight would have made this a better experience. I have returned a week later, and the lights are still not fixed, there is only one small light placed per corridor with some having none at all. I am still having to use the flashlight on my phone to even see inside my unit, and it is still terrifyingly dark.Rachael S. | Online Move In

Our only issue was that we had a reservation for a 10 x 10 but when we went to the facility, all they had on the ground floor was a 10 x 15, which we accepted and will likely keep for several months until our new house is ready. We were hoping to pay $144+ per month instead of $239+ per month but we are NOT moving storage units even if a 10 x 10 becomes available, it’s too much work for senior citizens. On a positive note, everyone we dealt with at U-Haul throughout this process was very pleasant and our rental truck ran flawlessly. Only issue I take is with thee accessibility of the storage unit where the cars pull in. There was usually only 1 way in and same way out and pulling a trailer to get out really was bad. They either had signs saying do not enter for alternatives or they had the roadways block with boxes and trailers and vans. Makes it horrible to just drive up to the loading entrance for loading ad and unloading. You should provide clear drive paths at both ends of the storage facility allowing vehicles a clear ingress and egress possibilities.Todd G. | Overall Experience
When we got to my unit the AC building doors were not working. Only the single door and it was left wide open. An associate was walking by and I asked about the doors. She barely acknowledged me and said what can I do about them, they’re broke , someone’s coming Monday! as she obviously was more interested in her cigarette and didn’t want to be bothered My question is why was It even rented to me without letting me of the problem. Staff we very friendly and helpful and together with a clean facility would have been easy to recommend the location. The issues are not with the location, had reserved 2 storage units one on the 1st floor and the other on 2nd floor. When I arrived was told there was no units available on the 1st floor. Only once I became insistent did the team go and find a unit. This is the 2nd occurrence when reservation was made with U-Haul and there was an issue.
