I was told to return the truck with the same amount of gas, or else I would get charged for gas.. I took a picture of the gas gauge, and actually returned the truck with more gas. They charged me anyway. And they don't tell you until after you leave, and they email the receipt an hour later. Rip off! Luckily, the 800- number customer service seems to be trying to get me a refund. Good thing I took that picture! Dashboard warning light for tire pressure monitor was on when I rented to vehicle. They should have dealt with that before giving me the vehicle.Robert S.
There were so many trucks at this location that I barely had room to park and drop off my equipment after hours. They also need to post a sign where to drop off keys. The drop off key box is two buildings over and since I'm not from the DC area I had trouble locating it.James J.

Be sure the ordered "Move Safe" is included when picking up equipment. I had to return to the location after I realized they had dropped it off the original order. I had to pay more for the CDW than the original quote. Not good. Don't allow reservations for times when the office is closed.Meghan W.

I was charged a ridiculous and grossly inaccurate re-fueling fee. I drove 16 miles, plus put $15. of gas in the truck, brought the gas level to 7/8 full, maybe even past that, yet was still charged a $39.15 (6 gals.) Refueling fee!!! Really??!! I'm going to contact the manager of the location and if I don't receive a full and immediate refund, I WILL SUE FOR DAMAGES - A LOT MORE THAN $39.15!!!!!!!!!!Al L.
I got a call the day before telling me that the truck I rented would be at a different location. I showed up to the new location and they told me the truck was actually at the original location that I had specified, but the trailer that I rented was at the current location, and I would need to personally go pick up the truck at the original location only to bring it back and pick up the trailer. The staff at both locations were not helpful and unfriendly. Overall just a terrible experience. Will probably never use Uhaul again if I can help it.Caleb D.

Horrendous experience. Reserved a truck, showed up and was told the truck wasn't available (no one let me know) additionally the moving supplies I had reserved were also unavailable. Made my move a nightmare. The employees (4) were more interested in discussing a food order than helping guests in the store. Then when I went outside to get the smaller truck I was given the guy was sitting on the ground talking to his friend and wouldn't make eye contact? Overall it is a good place to get a moving truck. The inside of the vehicle was clean but the roof of the truck had a hole in it. If it were raining during my move it would have been really bad. I used the app to checkout the vehicle which works well accept I had to reinstall the app. But I think problem was with my phone not U-Haul. Once the vehicle was checked out I had to go to their counter to get the key. Not a big deal, but if I had known I would have stayed in the store from jump so I didn't have to go back and forth. Returning the truck is easy, but I recommend trying to return it earlier in the day or later in the evening. There were a bunch of reruns and the return lines are not long enough to accommodate all of them so the worker had to move them up to make room for more. But for a city location, this is not that unbearable. All of the workers I encountered were very polite and friendly which is rare these days.Randy M.

The staff you had were friendly and helpful, but as I'm sure you know this location is understaffed. The only serious issue was that there wasn't sufficient space for folks to return their vehicles after hours which led to a dangerous situation with returned rentals illegally parked.Michael M.

The rear right brake light and turn signal we're not working when I began a 1,000 mile trip, which I didn't realize until someone mentioned it 500 miles in. This should have been detected before I drove off the lot. And one of the tires had very low pressure, which was easy to fix. Otherwise the van was ok.Ben V.

There was only one person working behind the desk on a Saturday morning. It took 30+ min just to get the keys to the moving truck, and I had already done the online check-in in advance. We had reserved 2 furniture dollies, but were told when we got there that they didn't have any. The moving truck reeked of marijuana. We were given the truck with the gas tank at 5/16ths and told we'd be charged $30 for returning it below 1/4. We only drove 17 miles total, including the gas station we had to go to to fill up the tank. Would not recommend this location or these moving trucks and supplies since they're not reliable or clean.Chetan P.

The passenger footwell had an extremely sticky residue that adversely affected my move. If it was smaller or not so incredibly sticky I would not have taken issue, but I would have expected a spill of that degree to be resolved before the vehicle was turned over to us. The mobile check in was a waste of time, it makes you go inside anyways- I had to walk back and forth a few times. There was no on in the location so that took time to call the manager to find the person. And the people outside seem to be hanging out, except one gentleman who seems to be doing everything outside. I interacted with you office staff twice; getting the unit and closing the unit rental. The staff that assisted me, two different persons, acted like I was "bothering" them. Is not what they said or what they did, it was their attitude. Their tone of voice was like they were mad, like they hated being there. They are the face of your company, the one I prefer for my moving and storage needs. I don't need pleasantries or even greetings; but, I don't need to feel like I'm a burden to you. I'm the customer! It is my first time requiring uhaul services, it was late and it almost close for regular busines hours which compel me to get the "24 hours access service" which by the way I just needed for that particular day the 27th of jul. I needed to storage my stuff on the 27th of jul, so between go and get my stuff and come back, the store would be closed, so the least I would have expected as a some sort of compliment for a new customer would have been to wave the after hour charge for a day, no big deal it is just a thinking, and the to be obligated to buy some specific sort of padlock it is kind of absurd but anyways it is what it is other than that I rate your service average. Had all my stuff moved out of my unit before I was due to be charged for a new month, but office hours were closed so I couldn't formally close out my account until the next day, and I was automatically charged for a full month regardless.
