I rented a 20 ft truck to go 1 way to cat city & was told I got a few storage for a month. I was told it wAs 10x8x5. (It’s your business & you should know that a 20 ft truck worth of stuff won’t fit 1/4 of my belongings in, so what should have taken 4-5 hrs took all day (I’m disabled w a broken neck). I had to move my stuff to a different storage then bring the truck back. I would expect some kind of refund or a free truck for my reservation on the 8th as the 3 things & confirmation # were wrong. I have all my documentation copied & ready to go to the bbb if you don’t come up w a solution for me b4 3/8/21 thank u Richard Nicolas. 951-295-9139

Your staff at this location is friendly, knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with. Check-in is easy at the counter and the vehicles are sanitized and very clean.
checking the vehicle back in was a disaster! I took pictures and put the keys in drop box. we spent 1 hr just trying to put info in. finally we got to payment section. it wouldn't complete! You need to improve your online check in.
Everything was good except had to leave the car parked along the street which really wasn'r too safe. Wish there was a parking lot there.
The computer reservation system failed me but the local individuals helped me get it taken care of. They did a great job.

it was difficult to judge how much gas to put in and when I call for assistance the recording said that the wait would be 10 to15 minutes. I appreciated that the person who checked me in originally had warned me that I would not be refunded for putting in excess fuel.
Conflicting information on pricing. I was told that if I turned the equipment in early I wouldn't be charged for an extra day. I returned it early and was still charged for two days. Upon turning it in the gentleman told me that anything over six hours constitutes a day rental. The store opens at 7 am and I turned it in 3 hours later. Then the gentleman at the counter told me anything over 30 minutes constitutes a day rental. That's just dishonest business practice to coerce people into longer contracts, something I will be contacting the BBB about since I can't get an honest response from a Uhaul representative.

Great location. Service was excellent.
We needed the truck for 24 hours but were told we had to return it by noon and not 24 hours (which was 2pm). We paid for 24 hours, We thought it was reserved for someone else, but when we arrived to return the truck, we saw 4 other trucks on the line. We could have used it for another 2 hours. Not sure why the need for us to return it by noon. Upset about this.

The cathedral city Uhaul location is amazing. The staff was extremely friendly and professional. The provided amazing service and honestly saved my move. I had rented a truck through a competitor who ultimately was not able to provide my a truck that morning when I was supposed to pick up. In a panic, I went to cathedral city uhaul and they came through with the perfect truck for my cross country move that very same day. I will ONLY use uhaul from now on. Everything with uhaul experience was amazing and I am so appreciative to the staff at the cathedral city uhaul.
The parking lot was very busy but the staff was well organized and so helpful. It was painless.

The guy outside helping me check out and check in my truck has horrible customer service experience. I asked him a question twice and then he just kept walking past me. The owner helped me inside and he was great.
Maybe a “returns†telling you where to pull the truck in.

Please make sure the truck ordered is the truck you receive. I had to make two trips. The 26 foot truck I ordered was not what I received. I was first told, they only had a 17 foot truck, then they gave me a 20 foot truck.

I have rented three different trailers from this location. They are fast and courteous and full of useful information. Suggestions for additional purchases make sense, and don't feel like upselling. I will be back.

Reduce price, give AARP OR AUTOCLUB discounts. Mostly improve coordination and confirmation procedures. I got different locations info. 3 times.

More careful checking of vehicle condition prior to renting. I've rented two trucks in the past two weeks, the first truck the fuel filler line was damaged and it was leaking gas when I tried to fill it with gas. The second truck the passenger door wouldn't close properly and the armrest on the door was broken.
The cargo van I rented was so easy to drive. U-Haul facility was well-organized, quick, & helpful. Such an an easy experience even if expensive.
I had an issue with the truck being to small. I spoke to Sylvia and she went above and beyond to accommodate my situation. I really appreciate her customer service.
I felt like I was visiting a Pawn Shop in the Bronx. They wanted two phone numbers of people they could call. That is unreasonable. I dont care what reason that is too much invasion. I dont do that when I rent a truck from Enterprise. Which is who will get my business in the future.
Just make sure everything is ready to use before letting customer drive off lot.

I had difficulty with the hasps on the locker. Two uhaul locks were very difficult accommodate to the hasps. The employees were great and very helpful. Maybe U-Haul should look at a better engineered hasp system hardware. A new hasp designed from the ground up would not be inappropriate.

It was hard to go to the office, it was always busy with long lines. I had to wait on many occasions to pay cash for my unit for a long period while the cashiers helped customers with rentals.
This place is great. The staff, while busy, was extremely friendly and provided excellent service.

The staff and facility are excellent. The only reason for a less than excellent rating is the wait time I experience at multiple U-Haul locations and all times of the day or month or week. It appears U-Haul could upgrade your systems to help support your staff. Everything seems to take too much personal intervention. The new ap is an improvement, for sure, and keep it up. Thanks

The facility itself was fine, and the service I received actually went above and beyond; but I cannot recommend this location. During the 5 or 6 times I visited the office, there was always at least one employee inside (usually more) with no mask. Those who did have masks often would only wear them when customers entered, or would wear them improperly (many customers followed suit). It does not take a rocket scientist to understand how masks work, but many of the employees at this location seem to either not understand or not care. I should mention that there was one female employee (blonde) that seemed to always have her mask on, and she should be duly commended. Sadly most of the other employees working inside (predominantly the young males) didn't seem to take it seriously whatsoever.

I was told that I was to receive a 10x15 unit and was given a reservation number. When I arrived at the location, I was told that they couldn't locate my reservation and that there were no more units available in that size. I had just driven 590 miles, had a truck full of items to be stored and I was extremely tired. This was not good news. The young man behind the counter was kind and pleasant but could only offer me a 10x10. I accepted it because I had no other options at that point and had to take a lot of items to the dump.
I am extremely unhappy! I was given a trailer with retread tires and one came off during the trip, costing me $123 to buy a new one. Then when getting to my end destination, I was charged insurance on the storage unit, but never got one, even though I had one reserved! This meant that I had to book in overnight in Palm desert costing me $ 156 so that I am able to arrange a storage unit elsewhere the following day at a more expensive rate. So no, I am not happy, but this will be heard by everyone I know, and I will post this on my LinkedIn profile where I have in excess of 1,000 top CEO's and Presidents of Companies as connections. So, I will leave the ball in your court and give you until Monday afternoon to decide how you are going to compensate me for this massive inconvenience!
Our first contact was with a employee named Jose. He was rude and unhelpful. We asked if we could get the 1 month free storage so we could unload our truck on 6/10 and then go unload the remainder of our belongings and then turn the truck in. It was 104* that day! It was 11am and the truck was not due to turn in until that Friday 6/12. He rudely said No! and would not discuss it. As we were leaving two other employees both named Chris were amazing and helpful. They proceeded to get in contact with Whitney the asst mgr. who was amazing as well. WE were able to get into the storage unit and off load the items and then turned the truck in earlier than expected. What is a shame is the very first contact we had with anyone in Palm Springs was Jose. JERK! Thank you Whitney and both Chris's. You all were helpful and changed our day into a positive experience.

This U-Haul facility is a model for a well managed and operated representative of the U-Haul business. From start to finish, my experience was exemplary in all ways...especially customer service. An area too many companies/businesses seem to have either forgotten or dismissed as a necessary/significant aspect worthy of the time it takes to show (not just say) that their customers matter and are appreciated.

The closure slide on the storage door was stuck and I've had to have help opening and closing it both times I visited. I hope it's fixed before I'm back again!
Moving is at the top of the list of things I hate doing. However I must comment that renting from Uhaul was the easiest & hassel free experience of the move. Just wish there was better or more lighting since it gets dark so early. Thanks you Uhaul.

The staff and facility @ this Cathedral City, Ca location, in my opinion, is an excellent model of a well managed, well staffed and well maintained facility and how they all should look and run.

When we arrived at the facility for our reserved storage unit, the unapologetic clerk informed us there were no units available. WTF! What ‘s the point of reserving a unit if you don’t honor it!
Phone rep said that there would be a storage unit available to move into. When I arrived with a loaded truck, turns out I was one of TEN “reservations” for ONE vacancy. NO WHERE TO STORE MY STUFF!!
