There are very few parking spaces for renters of trucks/vans. When I arrived, these were ALL full and the rest of the lot heavy with 'no parking' signs. I pulled into the front end of the last row of the 'lanes' where returned vehicles are parked. There was ONE returned vehicle at that time. I told the person checking me in where I had parked and said there were NO parking spots available. She acknowledged with "I know, we don't have enough parking...you should be OK there." After driving off and enroute to picking up the pieces for which I rented the van, I rec'd repeated calls from an unknown number and finally answering, I heard Luke Williams berate me for parking where I did. I told him of my exchange with the service person and he said I needed to move my car IMMEDIATELY! I explained that I would return within an hour but he insisted that I may be blocked in to where I couldn't move my car. This was actually impossible because I was at the very end and had a truck parked behind me to block me, it would have blocked the driveway between buildings. I called my husband and he drove over to move the car and when he arrived, there were still no open slots. But he noticed someone walking to their car and was able to use that open slot when they moved. I took photos of the lanes when I returned the van...the lanes were still vastly open and no where near full. I can provide these photos if you need this evidence.VICKIE C.

The return process was AWFUL. No one came out to the return kiosk when I pulled in. I was there long enough to clean out the trailer, move it to the side, and un-hitch it. No one was at the front desk either. I tried using the self-check-in app on my phone but it was so slow it was useless. Ultimately, after 20 or 25 minutes, the two girls working the counter returned.GEORGE W.

Early check-in could be greatly improved. I tried to use it but abandoned it when I had to browse for scanned license front and back photos. Seriously!...you want me to take all that time to scan the licenses...like you expect everyone to have a high tech scanner to do this.. You should update your technology so I can scan the license using my iphone or laptop camera. I'm sure a lot more people would use the early check in feature if you made it easier, which would make it easier on your employees and faster service for your customer.JAMES W.

This is the second time we have picked up a UHaul from this location, and service has been excellent both times. The rep who assisted us last week was very pleasant, helpful and made sure we were taken care of.Lyle D.
Actual rental Experience was good but the site seems undermanned. Tried for 2 days to talk to the local site with no luck.. This is the busiest Uhual I have ever seen! The General Maanger, and his staff went above and beyond to help me with my returns, and storage. I traveled across coutry, and drove more than 20 hours to reach my destination. They were the kindest and most professional staff; and I was truly appreciative of it. Initially I was scheduled at another location, but they couldn't accommodate the storage I needed, so I found and transferred to this one. I'm very glad I made the switch. Luke Williams is the General Manager I believe. He was extremely patient and helpful with each of us - his customers; and the place was swamped with trucks being dropped off. Our experience wasn't great to start--the unit I rented on the recommendation of the phone rep and based on site descriptions was not nearly large enough for what I described needing to store and the clerk was not at all helpful, declaring he'd had that same complaint five times that day. Fortunately, when I called back the next day a larger unit was available. From then, things went great--helpful, friendly folks on site who helped navigate the price change and a smooth experience with the rental truck. Turned out really well after a bumpy start. You people called me to change my pick up location 30 minutes before pickup. I had no intention of driving 20 miles out of my way to get the truck. If I had known earlier I would have canceled and gotten a truck at Home Depot. If you want to improve my experience don't change the preferred locations and get the trucks where they need to be for the customers. NO CHANGING PICK UP LOCATIONS EVER!!! Your company has done this to me twice. I will look at all other options before I rent from you again. The location on Vickers Rd was great. They are to busy and need more help. They also need more equipment. The entire staff was personable and helpful. They tried their best to have equipment available but then had to guarantee pickups at other locations just to be safe which was inconvenient and confusing. This lead to changes in pickup and drop off. Also, I admit, that during this confusion I neglected to reaffirm the drop off date. I was under a lot of pressure and made an assumption. I understand that there would be an additional cost, but I think that it would be advantageous to have a guaranteed pickup program at the location the customer desires. In addition, the windshield was covered with bugs. I didn't care cause I had to get moving. But when I cleaned it off to get started I noticed two areas that were damaged so I took pictures and phoned the facility. They were very considerate, apologized and noted it along with a broken air vent inside. In conclusion, I don't blame anyone, they did their best. They're just to busy. Also, you should consider a discount for veterans and seniors.John P.
I used the 24/7 electronic truck claiming service, and I was disappointed that it requested several items such as my driver's license and a second call number (at my workplace), and even could have required things I would have never thought to bring with me such as a passport. As a result the check in process took at least 20 minutes. I feel like photos of the driver's license, or passport, or other governmental docs/phone numbers/etc. should be collected at the time of *reservation*, not at pick up.Ian H.

Precious ran a tight and welcoming ship. Luke has been rude and arrogant, two hours late, told me he didn’t like my attitude and he had his masters and was the manager and he didn’t care. I get a lot surveys emails. Perhaps because I am a business traveler. Usually just click but almost never write a review. This time I am writing my story. It May help others. I reserved a 26 foot truck 3 weeks in advance. I checked Checked in the day before. My truck is confirmed !!! As I am driving in I see someone moving a 26-ft truck nice it is 7 am. They had just opened. My truck is getting ready for me !! Walked to the front office. Waiting for about 15-20 minutes. Some people got there before me. Signed my contract. Got the instructions. Walked out. Can't find my truck. Saw another staff member. Approached her. She look around. She walked back to the main office. I follow her. Summary. The guy driving the only 26-ft truck available was not an employee having it ready for me He was another costumer who was able to do self checking and drive out the 26 ft truck that was under my name (the one I had on the contract basically he jumped ahead and created another contract same truck same plates same all but different name !!). That was the only 26 ft available. I must say this facility is clean. I like they costumer service. I still believe this was not their fault. Still do it understand how this can be possible. They tried to help by renting me a smaller truck and reducing the price per mileage. (In reality the time my movers required plus the gas needed increased). My recommendation. Learn about self check in. (Please understand this is not the same as check in before you go. If you do self check in (still have to find out what else is needed perhaps open an account and have a credit card on file the system will allow you to self check in by passing the front desk and take out any truck that is parked regardless if already reserved and in my case even if I already had checked in the night before)Federico V.

It is impossible to return the truck with the exact amount of fuel when you don't get it full. If it is too little, you get charged $30. If it is too much, you lose money. Fill the trucks and expect them to return full, just like the rental car companies.TERRENCE B.

Answer the phone. I was over charged by a day because they were not there to check me in. After waiting ten minutes for someone to come where the sign said to wait, I had to walk around the facility for 5 to ten minutes to find the one worker who told me to leave keys and he will check it in later. When I got my receipt online it had an extra day because of when they checked it in it was late. Kept calling but no answer then sent to corporate line that had 15 minute wait. Had to drive back k to get rate fixes in person. Should pay me $.89 a mile for that ride. That's not great customer service at all.Carmine S.

U-Haul truck reservation that was part of the Storage order was not avaialble. I made the truck reservation well over a month ago for 11 AM pick-up yet when I arrived I was told that there was no truck available and that the "online resevation system is not accurate". I traveled in to Chapel Hill from Pennsylvania to helpmove my son and this created a major issue for us. A truck was provided to me at 12:45 PM however this almost 2-hour delay was unacceptable. There was a problem with the climate control - it was not working while I was there in July and August. Wine stored there was ruined and I was unable to sort through the belongings as needed because working in the heat made me ill. A repairman was there but the problem was not resolved. While I’m sure it is stated in the contract, when I checked out yesterday I was informed I would not receive a credit for my unused time. This resulted in a loss of over $200, an amount hard to accept in these difficult times. I believe I should have been compensated for the unused time as the facility can now rent the space a gain.
