Facility should actually check the tire pressure before letting equipment out and don't let it out if tires are low. I asked and told tires had been checked when I picked up the trailer. That was clearly not true. One of the trailer tires had only 20 lbs in it. I filled it myself before we left but 3 hours into a 15 hour trip it was low again. So it had a leak. This should have been dealt with before renting it out. Thankfully we were close enough to get to a repair facility that got right on it and not in the middle of the Mojave desert waiting for hours. Added about 1.5 hours to our trip. Could have been a lot worse.David V.

the whole experience was terrible. i reserved a 6X12 enclosed trailer. i received a call that couldn't be answered due to no service while i was driving to pick up the trailer. the call stated they did not have the reserved trailer available. i tried to call the u-haul site back, after 15 minutes on hold i ened up at a call center that could not do anything, they said they could not transfer me to the actual site i was going to to get the trailer, so they tried to transfer me to a rebooking center, instead they terminated the call. So i continued to the site, where the only enclosed trailer they had was smaller. i reluctantly agreed to take the smaller trailer and filled out the paperwork. I went outside and backed up to the trailer and the attendant started to hook it up, at this time i noticed that one of the tires on the trailer was flat. The attendants response you'll have to go back inside and get another trailer. We have to way to fix or change the tire and oh by the way we don't have any more trailers of this size either. So back inside and another choice between bad and worse. I ended up having to take a trailer that was not enclosed. i left to make the 180 mile round trip, unfortunately because the trailer was not enclosed i was unable to get everything in one load which required a second roundtrip of an extra 180 miles. So end of the story expect nothing more than not being able to contract the site you're going to, don't expect to get the trailer you reserve and don't expect the equipment to be in working order. Also don't expect that the people at the service site can fix any problems unless being told "i'm sorry" is enough for you to feel they fixed something.Jeffrey G.

The truck was not at the designated location at the scheduled pickup time. We needed to go to a different location, and wait for a vehicle to show up. This appointment was made months in advance. Apparently everyone was leaving California so there was a shortage of U-Hauls in the area. There was a fiasco with price as well, despite detailed notes I took during the scheduling of the vehicle. Total hassle, inconvenient, and unprofessional. Luckily, the woman who owned the gas station where the vehicle finally showed up, was a huge help, and gave us the price we were originally quoted. The trucks at this location seem to have the worst gas mileage of any vehicle ever produced. I drove a total of 7 miles (and actually it was less because it move up 1 mile as I was heading out of the Uhaul property) and was charged over 16 dollars in gas (3 gallons) for 3 gallons of gas for 7 miles, that makes the gas mileage at 2.33 miles per gallon. I firmly believe this location does what it can to charge as much as possible to screw the customer.James B.

Was never offered any discounts or refunds for any of my inconveniences, which were many, and caused hours and hours of delay in moving. The first I had was a rented cargo van totally dirty outside mud on lower half and inside both seats had long dog hair he said there was quarter tank of gas so I got in drive it down to first light smelling strong gas inside when the light and alarm told me I was low on gas stopped down at tower market on park and fair put 35.00 dollars in almost 9 galsdrove to old mall on east ave then home 1st ave west and tank was on saying I was empty. Next day got in van drove down towards the esplanade when the voice and alarm said i was low on gas. The truck was dirty on the outside and the inside when we received it. Which would have been fine until we got the truck on the freeway and the side mirrors moved all over the place. I had to constantly readjust them by manually rolling down the window for a 500+ mile drive that took 9 hours. It's extremely dangerous to have equipment like that on the road and after talking to customer support it doesn't sound like anyone can do anything about it. I'm so disappointed in uhaul that I will never want to rent through your company again. I would not recommend this company to anyone. I am extremely unsatisfied with this experience.Caitlin B.
I have rented trailers here a few times by making my reservation ahead of time using the app. The customer service is good. The app, however doesn't speed up the process whatsoever. Early check in has not worked as far as making the process quicker by uploading your driver's license and other required information. I had reserved one of the indoor, climate control storage units on-line. When I went in to pay for the unit it turned out to be an outside one. Bronson said that there were supposed to be two units inside that were going to be emptied that day or the next and that he would keep my reservation open and call me as soon as they were available. I got a call that afternoon and was able to take care of the check in over the phone. I really appreciated the extra time that Bronson spent to make sure that I got a nice unit!
