I reserved a 6 x 12 trailer to be picked up Sunday at 10 Am but when we showed up there were none available even though I was told it would be when I made the reservation. The attendant was just as frustrated as we were and we ended up getting a smaller trailer (5x8). Which resulted in multiple trips to make the move. We made it work but it would be helpful if you have a reservation process you actually have the equipment available that people are reserving. However your employees are very friendly and do their best to help the situation however they can.

The trailer I rented was clean, but the running lights did not work on it. Made for a long night of traveling w/o lights.

My only complaint was that the gas gauge did not seem to work. We only put 12 miles on the truck and after adding 3 1/2 gallons of gas $10 worth), the gauge did not move back to 3/4 mark. I doubt we even used one gallon.

The lady at the main office told me to call them directly in the future. She got the change details completed in a few minutes and was efficient and courteous. Al in all the experience was great and I would use it again. And yes I would pick up from the same location because it was convenient to where I needed it.

I found this location so very helpful and enjoyable to work with. They answered all my questions and even walked me out to the truck. Impressive.



Nothing that I can think of. I don't own a trailer simply because I am so impressed by U-Haul's products and services. When I returned my last rental I was cheerfully greeted by name as I drove in and on the road in five minutes.



There was only one person at the front to help. Had to wait until he filled 3 propane bottles and finished with that customer. While helping me there was a problem with the first customer so he took care of him then got back to me and he told me he was going to help the next customer before hooking up my trailer and he proceeded to help them. They were under staffed for sure. If it is always like this I will be looking for another location.

(Chico is NOT where I dropped off my U-Haul Equipment. I dropped off my equipment at U-Haul Moving & Storage of Gresham, OR.) When I arrived in Portland after a 1350 mile drive, after checking the coupler at every stop and again before unloading my vehicle from the Auto Transport, the coupler failed again to stay secured to the ball upon unloading my vehicle from the Auto Transport, came loose and damaged the back of my truck. When I verbally reported these TWO U-Haul equipment failures to the Gresham U-Haul attendant, he advised reporting only one incident, not both, and to report the arrival, not the departure, incident. I followed his advice and he recorded the incident in the U-Haul online system. Within two days I got a call from a U-Haul insurance company representative asking for info (again, I related ONE incident per the Gresham U-Haul attendant's advice), then a follow-up call denying any U-Haul responsibility for the equipment failure. U-Haul refused to own up to their negligence, incompetence and equipment failure, and denied my claim. I plan to sue in small claims court. PLEASE, if you plan to rent a U-Haul Auto Transport, DO NOT RENT the one with Washington plate 3617QP (serial # AT 4697 Y). You may endanger your life and lives of other motorists!
