Don’t bother checking in with the girl. The boys are all great. Friendly informative and helpful. The girl has poor communication skills and acts like she’d rather be somewhere else and you are an idiot. The location is well stocked and the other staff overshadow the girl that has better things she’d rather be doing.

This was the worst experience I’ve ever had. First I called U-Haul and asked if I could drop it off after hours and they said of course they accept offer after our drop off. So I called the number on the gate and the guy said just drop it out. Drop it off outside on the street and leave the stuff in the dropbox I said OK but it’s a car trailer. I’ll do that then he said no, you have to bring it inside and it’s gonna cost you 50 bucks. I said well I have no place to park it and they said I could bring it after hours he said it’s gonna cost you 50 bucks. So I said fine and brought it in. He would seem to be very upset that I bothered him at night and said wait here. I have to get my keys so I waited for him and then we brought it to a place and he said you need to back it up right here and I backed it up to a place that was near there. I’m not very good at backing up the car trailers and I said I can’t just leave it here. He said no I said why don’t you back it up then for me he said I can’t use your car so I said OK. I can’t back it up to the spot you want. I’m not a very good person that backed up and he laughed at me says you can’t back it up so he said I’m gonna come back tomorrow. I said fine. I’ll come back tomorrow. He said I’m gonna call the cops on you. I said fine I’ll leave he goes no I’m gonna he said you can’t leave without my code and I’m gonna call the cops on you. I said if I come back tomorrow, can I do? I have to back it up again cause I can’t back it up in the spot you want he said yes you have to back it up in the spot. I said OK I’m gonna give it a try, but it may take us up to an hour because it’s hard for me to back it up and that you won’t put it in in the spot right next to where I have it so I took four or five tries and backed it up and then I left . Unacceptable to be charged $50 when you U-Haul said that I could drop it off after the closing time number two unacceptable that he treats me bad because I rang his phone unacceptable that he laughs at me that I don’t back up very well and very unacceptable that he threatened multiple times to call that police on me and wouldn’t let me leave. He said I couldn’t leave. I will be leaving bad reports with Yelp and different locations as well.

You need better communication between locations. Red bluff location gave me 125 miles on my contract. I used 103 miles. Chico charged me $13 for extra miles. Lack of communication between locations and online service.

The team was polite and helpful. The building was clean and organized. When we went to hook up the trailer and test the lighting, the drivers side tail light that was not working. The team spent 20 minutes trying to fix it using improper tools, but doing their best, in the end I was able to help them get it working. They provided me some parts at my request and I replaced the light wire harness and connectors when I got back to my in-laws. The trailer was in a bit of rough shape but the tires were nearly new and the body was water tight, so it served my purposes. The team I recommend, the equipment was well worn and not well serviced on the electrical end. But it did the job I needed.

To make aware that you need to be able to navigate a smart phone app to return your truck. Also make sure to notify the renter that there is a small Having a small dolly and a large bag of moving blankets inside the cargo box. I don’t care for Uhaul arbitrarily putting those items in the back without allowing the renter to have the option to leave them or have them removed, before renting I found that the dolly and the bag of blankets got in the way of items that were large i.e. mattress

It was fine. It's always crazy how much the price increases compared to as advertised. The booking online process needs to be more fluid. I ended up renting a utility dolly and furniture pads that I didn't remember selecting online. When the individual confirmed the booking when I arrived, and she was listing the appliance dolly, then utility dolly, I thought due to the way it was said there was a mispronunciation of the name, not two different pieces of equipment. At the end of the day we never used the appliance dolly and it was wasted money.

My move-out was delayed because U-Haul trailers and a homeless couple were blocking my access. The couple with a dog camping out in front of their unit both days I tried to clean mine out, which made the process difficult. This was a rare occurrence, I have never seen this happen before this date and had the unit for almost a year. When I contacted Uhaul to close out my unit and share what had happened they assured me they would contact this store by email and two days later I received a call from the store manager with no knowledge of this interaction and information

I only had the unit for 3 1/2 months and when I moved out I had to throw away a lot of my stuff. A lot of my items had mold on them. And I had to get rid of a bags of clothes blankets and a few kid rugs due to dead mice inside of my stuff. I was very dissatisfied with my experience at this U-Haul. And to make things worse for the last month or so I had to go only when the store was open, because they never fixed the outside login issue. I asked every time I went if it was fix or when they were getting it fixed. Every time they said they didn’t know. As of 1/28/2025 it’s still not working !! Not everyone can only go between the hours of 7am and 7pm I like that I could acess from 5am-10pm.

The unit I rented said that I could fit a 2-3 bedroom home in it, which was wildly inaccurate. I had to scramble around to find a new place and the professionals at other storage rentals said there was no way to store a 2-3 bedroom home in the unit Uhaul suggested either. I needed and reserved a 26 foot truck in Roseville, CA for 2days for $93 if I dropped off the Uhaul in Uba city CA. So the next day I got dropped off from Chico, Ca to Roseville U-Haul to find out They gave away my truck and had to give me a ride to a different uhaul store were I was told had the truck I needed but didn't. The only thing they had was a 20 foot truck which I felt forced to take. And Now it would be $164.00 and still would have to take it to Uba city. I had to make 2 trips instead of one which took another 2days plus all the gas....it was a complete nightmare and cost me soooooo much money I did not plan for.

Everyone is friendly and helpful and I barely visited my unit, knowing that it was secure. It’s nice and clean. I like having a unit inside of the facility building. Also when I rented the car trailer- a cheerful and capable young lady hooked the whole thing up to my pickup for me, and went through the safety check. When I returned it later I didn’t even get out of the truck! Chico uhaul is top notch.

The communication at the facility was fair. But in all fairness, they were very busy. The explanation of how to enter the security code was not clear. There are two locations at the site. All this being said, they did their best to assist me. I think the confusion is that I reserved the space online and not at the desk. They also shared that sometimes a space can be double-booked, although this did not happen to me.

The Chico, CA Office and the branch manager there was very helpful, courteous and professional, in which I will use this facility again. However, the phone number to get a hold of U-Haul’s customer service and/or to pay my monthly bill had very long wait times that lasted over an hour sometimes. U-haul needs to revamp their customer service line, in order to drastically reduce the wait time over the phone.

The customer service is absolutely horrible and nonexistent. I will never use this uhual again. Was never offered any discounts or refunds for any of my inconveniences, which were many, and caused hours and hours of delay in moving. Because of lack of organization and communication I had to rent two units instead of one, which were completely across the entire storage facility making it even more inconvenient when moving and organizing my items.

The first I had was a rented cargo van totally dirty outside mud on lower half and inside both seats had long dog hair he said there was quarter tank of gas so I got in drive it down to first light smelling strong gas inside when the light and alarm told me I was low on gas stopped down at tower market on park and fair put 35.00 dollars in almost 9 galsdrove to old mall on east ave then home 1st ave west and tank was on saying I was empty. Next day got in van drove down towards the esplanade when the voice and alarm said i was low on gas. So i drove back to the uhaul place was told they just fix the gas leak will it wasnt fixed ask what they could do for me about the thirty five dollars I put in gas said I'll have to sendin that I did and what happen and I ended up with a 3/4 truck and everything was a lot better.is there anyway I can keep the truck tell mon could do hardly nothing the first two days with all the problems .please let me know thank you [redacted] [redacted]

I had reserved one of the indoor, climate control storage units on-line. When I went in to pay for the unit it turned out to be an outside one. Bronson said that there were supposed to be two units inside that were going to be emptied that day or the next and that he would keep my reservation open and call me as soon as they were available. I got a call that afternoon and was able to take care of the check in over the phone. I really appreciated the extra time that Bronson spent to make sure that I got a nice unit! I will always recommend this U-Haul for any moving or storage needs! Great people and pleasant experience!!

Used this facility a few times in the last month. People were always nice and helpful. I chose this place to rent our truck and a storage everything always went smoothly. Would recommend this place cause there hours are good, other places that were closer weren’t open on weekends or opened late or closed early.
