The whole pickup process was a disaster I was booked in to pickup in mcdonough but when I got there advised no truck had to drive 30 minutes to griffin got there no one was at u haul just lady in clothes shop waited 20 minutes then lady passed a phone to me spoke with someone else for 15 minutes then they couldn't find keys and finally advised no truck for me previous renter failed to return so I was advised now need to go to college park 45 minutes drive!!! So 2 hours and 3 locations later finally got a truck. This is not good u haul!! I expect much much better from a company your size.STEWART H.

6. Would you recommend this U-Haul storage facility to a friend? No, not this particular one. Your female staff was very rude. In particular, a female that worked the Saturday morning shift on January 8th, 2022. I was late to picking up my rental truck - as most people are. I know I 'm not the first. This particular woman actually called to ask if I was still coming for the rental. I told her I was; as I was trying to explain my lateness, she hung up on me. She didn't care - which is not professional customer service U-Haul prides itself on. The woman never stated: "if I don't come at XYZ time, you will lose your rental". But apparently, because I did not come when she thought I should have arrived, she (staff) canceled my reservation. I came maybe 30 mins -45 mins after her call. I thought with her calling to ask if I still wanted the rental (which I was grateful for) was an understanding that I was still coming. But if U-Haul is just looking to make money and not have satisfied customer service, I should not have been surprised. Disgruntled staff that don't like their job shouldn't take it out on customers. Everything about my experience with Uhaul has been horrible from the start. I am still trying to file a dispute moot reimbursements from the faulty equipment and truck that I received from Uhaul. Even the person from the areas regional office by the name of Bobby Johnson has been very rude, argumentative, and down okaying the whole experience. I'm currently in the process of filing a claim with my Geico insurance and letting them come after UHAUL's corporation along with my lawyer because I feel very disrespected by yours companies regional associate from your Atlanta office/location.VICTORIA P.

I took out insurance for the unit, unfortunately it had a hole in the top which ruined all my towels, sheets, several pairs of shoes, a coat and several pairs of pants and blouses. I told this to one of the employees as I was getting my stuff from the unit. I took pictures and a video as I was moving my stuff out. I was later told by one of the employees that they had to take the pictures not me and therefore I couldn't put in a claim. I will NEVER use U-Haul storage again, nor will I recommend it ( especially this location) to anyone.Teressa P. | Overall Experience

This survey doesn't do justice to the issues we faced. The 5400 Old National Hwy location did a good job, but we had a reservation for the Cleveland Ave location because it was near the airport. I got a call the day before flying to Atlanta that the location didn't have our truck. They sent us to 2505 Candler Rd, Decatur. We arrived there by Uber and they didn't have a truck for us either, so we were sent to 5400 Old National. After over $60 in Uber fees and an hour later we were able to get a truck. We made our reservation nearly a month before the trip. To get that kind of service was really poor. The woman that helped us at Old National was nice and did a good job. This was the worst experience I’ve ever had, storage unit was booked online and paid for but when I arrived they didn’t have it available. Was told I got a refund an it would be back on my card being that I was charged twice but nothing has yet to come back on my cardSade T. | Online Move In
The truck that we were provided should not be allowed back on the road. It shook really bad, the passenger side seatbelt buckle was missing, the outer passenger door handle did not work, the headlights were really dim (had to use the bright lights), the driver side headlight was loose and not pointing at the road (pointed up), and the gas gauge did not register gas being added. This was mentioned to the return attendant, who stated that the gauge was likely not working properly and that he would adjust it accordingly, however, I was still charged a $38 gas fee.KEYONNA S.

I did not have a great experience I'm supposed to pick up my rental truck & appliance dolly at the Washington road location food Mart but when I arrive to pick it up they did not have it then they wanted me to go 50 miles out of my way to another location to pick up something and that was not to my liking then they sent me to the Old national location and I was given a truck that needed to be serviced it sounded horrible it was not clean inside when I got it and the dolly which is thrown in the back I was very disappointed they made a very stressful situation even more stressful really I'm not happySONJA W.

We were only allowed 4 hours to rent the truck. Meanwhile, other locations were allowing for 24 hr rentals for the same price. But we ended up only getting 3.5 hrs as we got the keys 30 mins after we got there and they said we had to return the truck according to the reservation time, not the time we got the keys. Ensure the hitch is hooked up correctly. I told the guy that it was too low and he told me it was correct and that's how it should be. The chains were dragging and the hitch was TOO LOW, I took pictures. I personally wrapped the chains more so they wouldn't drag so much but it It was very dangerous driving it like that. Every bump on the road it would hit the ground/road HARD and shake the entire trailer and car. After driving it 11hrs two guys helped me at a gas station by disconnecting the hitch and installed it correctly so that it wouldn't drag. I have before and after pictures.Sonia S.

To whom it may concern: A personal comment to U-Haul on Old National Hwy, the Management there was sos on their job 3 yrs. I rented and I was very satisfied many people gave me horrible experiences about thefts but I had none. Even during Covid-19 I was and though I'm senior citizen and had no one to help me move out the manager Mr. Thompson saved me from my distress. please note his kindness and willingness to go beyond what's expected and I will recommend this location. This is the 3rd time I have rented a trailer from this location in the past 120 days with very few problems. Your General Manager (Tyrone Thompson) was present today when I requested a trailer. My problem with him was his tone when I was asked about a 2nd phone number of which I gave to his clerk. I also indicated that home numbers do not always work and he said that if I return to rent again without 2 phone numbers I will not be able to rent again. Everyone does not have 2 phone numbers and this is the first time I have been asked for 2 numbers. I also live less than 2 miles from the UHaul location. Your company has my credit card number and this was my 3 rental in the past 90 days from this location....why is it so important to have a 2nd phone number for local usage?BOBBY R.
