One of the nicest U-Haul store that I have ever been to! Wow! Unexpected and so impressed! Everything was so clean and smelled so good! Everyone was so nice, but especially the Store manager Will. I am used to having people just saying what the need to say and push you out the door. If it was a hotel, it would be ranked with 5 stars.
Other stores should be modeled after this one! I loved that they had a pick-up truck to rent, so hard to find.

The experience in this location was very difficult. The counter help informed me that because I had an out of state License the needed a second contact name and number( never at any other location out of state have I had to provide this !!) So I give him the company owners name and phone number, Then he tells me that he needs to call them to verify ??? its 7AM who is answering their phone ? so of course he calls the number of the company and it goes to voice mail. He says to me I won't rent you this trailer unless I get someone on the phone ( are you kidding me ) so after scrambling through my fumbling to find someone that would answer and almost an hour later he was finally able to verify that It was acceptable for him to allow me to rent a trailer. ( NOW I'M LATE FOR MY PICKUP !!! Thanks!!
NOTE: If this is truly your policy and you see that I am out of state when I make the Reservation Maybe you should ask for that info and call them ahead of me coming into pick up the rental ( I sure the Manager of the store could figure that out!) I rent a lot from UHAUL and I do not appreciate the Hustle.

Will Da Cruz was extremely knowledgeable, professional, and personable. Noone loves the moving process, but Will made everything to do with a vehicle and storage rental efficient and painfree. I did not appreciate being forced to pay the 15 dollars for insurance. I was given the option to provide proof that my insurance covered my rental. I ASK, how may people carry around their insurance policy and know where to find that info. Insurance covers the policy holder on any rental, we the customer should not have to pay the additional $15 , I believe you are ripping people off.

After being bounced around from U-Haul vendor to vendor starting with North Smithfield which was absolutely horrible and unhelpful. Then I was sent to a convenience store to pick up a truck that was an absolute horrible condition and then I was sent to Cumberland which was the location that actually knew what they were doing and was able to get me my truck unfortunately it took three and a half hours from the time I entered North Smithfield till the time Cumberland was able to fix my problem

Had to travel to this location for a car tow dolly. Equipment was inoperable and required repairs before it could be used delaying our start considerably adding additional costs to our truck rental because of delayed arrival at destination. Reserved a pick up truck, and when I arrived I was told there was no pick up truck available because the one they had, had a flat tire. Had to take a van instead as this was last minute, I wasn’t notified in advance. After 24 hrs I returned the van, and the minute I arrived to the counter, the woman there named Kim was very rude, I asked a simple question in a friendly manner explaining this was my first time renting from them, and she responded with sarcasm, she was so unpleasant. I asked her what was her name after the awful experience at the counter, and she rudely responded “it’s on the receipt”. I know we all have bad days, but her attitude is so unprofessional and uncalled for. Not going back to this location!

I don't generally leave negative reviews but I couldn't get into the building at first and it was pouring rain. I went inside to find an associate to help me, and there was no one around for 20 minutes. (Not exaggerating) by then there was a group of people waiting with me waiting for assistance. We ended up going out to the parking lot to see if someone was on a cigarette break or something and someone finally came... walking very slow... saying he was busy cleaning the vans. He was there alone so I understood. That day was the first time seeing the unit, the associate just told me to go through the employee entrance since there was a group of other people waiting. I went to my unit, then realizing its on the second floor (not the 1st floor like my reservation insinuated), and no elevator. Not even that is the reason for the bad review... the unit I was given has drop ceiling falling apart, mold on the floor and walls, and very weak floors. Also seeing rat traps in my unit doesn't make me feel confident about keeping my kids clothes that I had to put in storage here. I knew $100 a month wouldn't get me much but Jeez... I didn't want to go back to the associate who was dealing with 20 other customers so I just loaded my stuff and left. As soon as I can, I will be moving my stuff to a new facility.

To say that the customer service is flawless is and that's an understatement. I've used the uhaul on Mendon road in Cumberland a few times now and have had a storage unit here for about a year. I've had a few interactions with Kim and another gentleman who's name I cant remember but he helped me pick out my storage unit. He walked me though the building and helped me choose one that would best suit my needs. Yesterday I moved out of my unit and reserved a 26ft truck, but the day before they said that it wasn't available as the customer who has it wouldn't be here in time. She told me that she could help me out with the 15ft truck. 2 minutes later she called me again and said that they could do 2 15ft trucks for a good deal. I was super impressed again with how much everyone there helped us out. I'm absolutely floored, I couldn't appreciate everything they have done for me more. Thank you again so much. I hope the higher ups see the amazing work you guys do. Thank you again.

After 17 years of having a space at your center the only bright spot was Brian Rishe, who was very friendly, helpful and sympathetic to my situation. The lock had been changed without my knowledge or permission in 2007 by "David " the manager at that time. I don't understand why a perfectly good lock was removed without my knowledge or permission. According to computer notes it is alleged that 2 keys were sent to me which I knew nothing about. Why a master key was not maintained in the office defys any and all business common sense. on part of your management. Then we find the lock was put on upside down which required me to call a locksmith and spend an additional $75.00 to have the circular lock removed. Next I tried to access the unit only to have to pry open the door handle with considerable force because the door and the bar had been over painted causing both to bond together. Once in it was apparent that someone had been in my unit since the plastic I used to cover everything within the unit was dumped in the middle of the floor, boxes were everywhere, my file cabinet draws were opened and the contents were rifled through, and the floor was covered with odd and end garbage consisting of metals shards, ripped up paper, and crayola crayons , all of which had nothing to do with my contents. The place was a disgusting mess. Then the worse problem was that my Conn Symphony 8 H trombone in my original case was missing!! As if to make matters even worse, I was informed that U-Haul's policy is not to reimburse portions of monthly payments unused.
I intend to contact U-Haul headquarters to resolve this but suspect that it will end up in a court battle.

There really is only one employee and she is wonderful! She handles that Uhaul so well, and multitasks amazingly. I had a storage a year ago there before and also rented another trailer and I am thankful for this clean well informed convenient location.

The only drawback was accessing the facility only during office hours. 7 pm is a bit early during a workweek. But the people were very friendly and helpful.
