We have a complaint about the vehicle we used. My husbands ankles were getting burned from some part of the engine that was shooting hot air into the drivers foot area. Then a piece of the interior fell off while he was driving and he could see the engine directly and there was a hole directly to the street below. Not to mention the check engine light was on when he entered the vehicle and the ac was not working.Adrian H.

I returned the moving truck on time Saturday April 10. The next day I found out I was overcharged by a day. I spent an hour with customer service. The agent I spoke to said she couldn't help me and suggested I drive to the U-Haul location which was a 40 minute drive. When I arrived the staff member said the system was down so she could not help and suggested I again call customer service. After spending another hour on hold, an agent answered and told me the location manager would call me the next day to fix the issue. I never got a call. Tuesday I went back to the location and someone managed to refund me the overcharge. I've moved many times and this by far has been the worst customer service I have ever experienced and I believe the least U-Haul can do to keep my business is give me a full refund. Have more staff helping customers inside. (the line was 6 deep and wasn't moving.) Have lot employees ask if they can help without the customers having to go inside to ask for assistance when they were obviously just dropping off. (while they stand there.) The customer service agent was not professional or friendly. She did not try to help me and was rude. From the initial greeting she appeared to be in a bad mood and didn't want to answer my questions. I wanted a one way rental and she told me that wasnt possible. I did not need to incur the additional charges of a in town rental for my move. The truck was not clean, there was sticky stuff all over it. Its clear they do not wipe the equipment after use, which should be a requirement due to COVID. The link sent to my phone would not work for check out, I could not upload the pictures of the damage to the truck. I had to use a friends phone to return the vehicle because I was not able to do the after hours return without uploading photos. The entire experience was terrible. I did however speak to a representative at the Deerfield location named Samantha who tried to help me, she was wonderful. She tried to get me a discount because I was forced into returning the truck to Miami, but she was unable to. Samantha was the only good part of this entire experience.LAUREN A.

The service was excellent! Everyone was friendly and very efficient. The truck that we rented was in good working condition but it was an older truck (DC5019k) and it showed - the driver's cabin looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a while. The cup holders and floor had spills and sticky stuffy, the stiring wheel was peeling and left rubber dust on the hands. It served its purpose for the short trip that we needed, but wouldn't have used it for a longer move.JOAO L.

The employees serving the costumers are talking amongst them selves while the customer waits: they were not talking about work and I waited a while for them to finish. I felt intimidated to say anything about it. I think that included in being told the limits and conditions to bring the truck back we should be told that if the gas tank is filled and not used we would loose the money. I had to clean the truck myself, have photos if needed. The truck was run down and probably the worst condition Of any U-Haul I've rented. The gentleman who greeted me and took care of the pick up was fantastic and deserves a raise. However the 3 ladies that were there when I dropped off left much to be desired, they couldn't be bothered with anything I had to say and were more worried getting their lunch ordered and arguing with each other. Just not a good experience to end with. Oh and the icing on the cake is she made me move the vehicle so â€œAtleast the next person will have a clean truckâ€. Wait what? What about my experience what about the person who spent 40 minutes cleaning the truck before his movers could start using it. Just in bad taste. That's all.DAVID D.

All tires were low 20 psi and one tire was low 30 psi. I was unable to fill the tires at multiple gas stations as tire pressure should be at 90psi. This affected my fuel efficiency on the trip and driveability across country. Also windshield washers did not function, resulting in being unable to clean the windshield for the entire trip, making driveability at night and during the day in the Viola storm terrible.ANDREW R.

The rented equipment and dolly were not available, and the staff simply didn't offer an alternative, they were not helpful, the staff offered a bigger truck, but had to do a full moving without the dolly, and the reservation was supposed to be guranteed, and at the end I was charged for 2 days, altough I use the equipment just for one day. The staff were all helpful and did whatever they could to accommodate us. I had a great experience except for one detail which was not the fault of the employees at the store. When I called to reserve the storage unit I spoke to someone at the call center. This gentleman was very impatient and he kept cutting me off when I tried to speak. I explained to him that I was looking for a ground level unit because I had knee surgery and couldn’t do stairs. He told me that he only had a 2nd floor unit and assured me multiple times on the call that this storage facility has an elevator and that I should be fine. That was a lie. I couldn’t even change my location because there were no other spaces available at other locations. I had to carry all my belongings up 2 flights of stairs with a bad knee.
