I booked a truck for a different location, and the website did not notify me that that location would be closed the day I booked (which was a holiday). I only found out because I went into the website to change the time of my reservation - it would have been helpful for the website to notify me of this when booking. The bill was more than expected. The fee of 19.95 was posted on the side of the van but was 89 on the invoice there was also a additional fee for after hours return that was not explained, the insurance and mileage charge were as expected. The motorcycle trailer should have a ramp that has less of a incline. We had to put 2 2x12" boards underneath so to make the angle appropriate so not to bottom out when loading and unloading.Edward D.

The service was poor when we had to go into the office, (online instructions didn't match the instructions from the facility itself), person behind counter wasn't wearing their mask properly (in middle of pandemic), basically told me I was a liar, and his instructions didn't work to allow me into my unit either. There's poison rodent traps in the units no one tells you about until you find it, which I think those traps are inhumane and I requested it to be moved. Was told they would remove it, I wait another almost 24 hours before going back to put the lock on the unit to still find trap inside. Was cut off by person speaking to me on to me on the phone while trying to sort out issues to the point I just stopped trying, and let them say whatever they needed too and ended the call without being properly happy about anything. The one good thing they did was give me a month free for all the issues, a ten minute set up turned into 3 days of super stress and confusion that couldn't of easily been avoided, the 1 month free feels insufficient and lazy on behalf of the company. 10/10 will never uhaul for anything again.Kerra N. | Online Move In

I had a great experience until I tried to return my trailer after hours. Despite all attempts to use the uhaul.com/share including the two codes sent to me electronically while at the location, the system did not work as I was told it would. The app said it could not find my phone despite having the location turned on. After 25 min I had to call the toll free number to get help. They checked the trailer in for me with the above info in the notes, but told me I might have to pay a convenience fee- I'm still waiting to find that out. Otherwise a great experience.JOHN H D.

Accommodating. Tech and online experience worked seamlessly with instore customer service. Friendly staff. Helpful with the snow. Worked to get me a truck with winter tires. Was a great experience. The storage lockers are really nice and clean. My only concern was the entrance to the 24/hr access lockers is not very good because I almost rolled with my SUV and 5x8 trailer. It did just snow but the entrance is on a slope and tricky to enter for the first time. Not exactly sure what to suggest other than some how leveling out the entrance instead of it has a slant that goes up on the left side...but that probably is not very feesable.Natasha M.

This was a good experience. My only beef was the experience booking through the website, which is not at all your fault - but it needs to be said the the website is just absolute dogshit. Could not rent the ready-to-go boxes through the website for the dates I needed, had to call the hotline to get them to add them to my order. The staff at the store were EXCELLENT. Everything was quick, easy, well explained, and every staff member I spoke to was very warm, friendly, and profressional. I had to pull off an apartment move in 2 days with no warning, and uhaul made it WORK. Thanks for treating me well!Nicholas M.

Dealt with your frontliners twice on a rather hectic day for all of us. I applaud how they dealt with me; very professional while being very personable. Improve the process. I asked for an adapter for the hitch and was told they'd take care of it when trailer was hooked up. Nope, got sent back inside for it a moment later. Reserved a 10 by 15 unit 3 weeks in advance than rented a 26’ uhaul truck to move upon my arrival at the Dartmouth location was told my unit is no longer available and my reservation means nothing and it’s first come first serve! It took weeks of planning to have people help with the move an expensive uhaul truck to move our things and then to show up and not have the reservation mean anything was absolutely unacceptable. When I asked to speak to a manager at around noon I was told she was in a meeting until 6. The gentleman at the desk called Halifax and Bedford locations but also not available not to mention I’m paying for the truck per kilometre. For a storage facility not back up a reservation a customer has made is unimaginable as we are counting on the unit to be available if reserved. In the end we did get a 10 by 20 unit but took over an hour to find. I’m not sure how long our things will be in this unit but I do know when I need another unit in the future and with the costs associated with moving I will certainly be looking for a company who can be trusted. If no unit became available and I had a uhaul truck rented with our things in it what would have happened? Absolutely horrible experience.SCOTT MICHAEL G. | First Impressions

First thing: i asked at the counter to book a truck for the next day and pick up in a town 80 kms away. I was booked for a week away and pick up in the city the office was in. I canceled that order, messaged the office and i was not contacted about the screw up. Second, when i got the truck a few days later, i rolled into the storage area and the alarm was going off. The security intercom system was utilized by me to notify the office next door. I was blamed for setting the alarm off. It was certainly not me. This is twice I've been in in a month and I can say I do not feel comfortable going back in knowing their lack of pandemic responsibility. Only 2 screens separated customers but those lines were not open, only the wheelchair and the one next to it. No sanitizers next to debit machines or desks. Staff was superb, I forgot a laptop in the hallway outside my locker and when I called about it the girl in the office went across the street to the locker site and brought it back to the office for me to pick up the next day. When I first rented there was a keypad access that unfortunately broke. It broke around December if I recall correctly and as far as I know it has yet to be fixed.
