I had a very negative experience with Uhaul as a company - however, this particular location located on Arapahoe St was incredible. I made a reserveration for a truck rental on Labor Day this year with one of the customer service reps over the phone - 1 week in advance. I called multiple times that week to confirm that this particular Uhaul location (on W 6th street, downtown LA) would be open on Labor Day and I was told that the main scheduling system through Uhaul confirmed they would be open. On moving day, I arrived at the location to find it closed. This was very frustrating and stressful. When I called Uhaul, I was put on hold for over 30 minutes without any assistance. I then drove to the location on Arapahoe St and found them to be thankfully open. They did have a truck available. I was incredibly appreciative. I am very disappointed in the Uhaul customer service team that handles phone calls, because nobody I spoke with seemed to be knowedgeable about which locations would be open on Labor Day. I ended up having to change my reservation a few times because the customer service rep over the phone would confirm a reservation and then I would get in touch with the actual location and find that they were planning to be closed. It is very difficult to get in touch with the people working at the Uhaul locations, because phone calls get routed to a central service line - and unfortunately, those people are not able to answer the questions appropriately. I was misinformed several times. In the future, I will look to rent trucks through Uhaul's competitors.

They charge me triple then what I was estimated and refused to tell me before taking the rental van that I needed to fill the gas up and that I needed to fold the moving blankets. So I got charged $100 just for not doing that. FUCK U-HAUL!!! Never again EVERRR!!!

I ordered a dolly with my truck but didn't receive it on my uhaul truck. I hope I wasn't charged an extra fee for dolly. It would have been an much easier move if I had the dolly on truck as I requested.

Absolutely horrible experience, AGAIN! I called TWICE last week to ensure my ubox would be ready for access on Saturday morning, and BOTH times I was told it would be ready. I get there on Saturday and the UBOX IS NOT READY. And guess what, this is THE SEVOND WEEK IN A ROW THIS HAPPENED. ABSOLUTELY AWFUL! I'm sick of this. Couldn't rate lower. So guess what, I moved out of my ubox this weekend. You lost my business forever.

The people were nice but your coordination with moving logistic company etc and info availability was beyond ridiculous- worst business experience of my life- literally. Spent hours on the phone. Your systems and processes are obtuse.

Yoli, the manager was awesome and made things easy for us by letting us know we could take the truck and load it then return to pick up the tow dolly on our way out of town. I was loosing sleep over the thought of having to double park the whole rig in downtown LA while we loaded, and this suggestion of hers made things much less stressful!

This experience worked out better than expected. I was making a big move from NY and LA and was wondering how to safely, efficiently, and economically move my things. Renting a U-Box was a great option, and Uhaul was always available and pleasant when I came with any questions. On top of that, the Moving Help partnership just made the entire process so much easier. Would definitely recommend.

I left the truck very clean but was still charged a cleaning fee. Also, I explained that I would return the truck on Monday evening but was charged an entire extra day rental when I delivered the truck at 7pm instead of 2pm. I never requested a 2pm drop off. Feel a little scammed.

Customer service by overall uhaul, specifically at 1836 Arapahoe st was really poor. I made appointment to access my Ubox. It took these people about an hour to find it when I came at 10 am for my appointment keeping myself and the people helping me move waiting. They should have had it pulled and in an accessible location for my appointment. They didn’t even apologize and kept acting like i was inconveniencing themz Because all of your trucks and vans were rented we had to make multiple trips from uhaul to my new apartment. We asked staff to keep the box accessible. One man said “I’m off go find someone else” and then wrecklessly sped out of the parking lot in his car and the other people working were not willing to accommodate and have very rude, short answers. I saved for years to make this move and spent $1500 for your company to move a box, it is extremely disatisfying to have such poor service for extremely simple requests. This location is extremely understaffed there was one woman working inside the office and it took her about 40 minutes to get through a line of 4 people. Overall very unimpressed with the service of this entire move

The mobil pick up does not work i was there at 6 am waiting n i had to wait untill 7 am when they open to get my truck i let the owner know that her mobil pick up did not work and all she said thats not my problem i dont control the app or website thia ia bad business

There was no office. it was a very crowded parking lot. I could not find a person to talk to. We found some guy on a fork lift that just told us to leave it there. I did not sign anything or really talk to anyone.

First, the unit they gave me had stuff in it. They gave me a new one on a different floor. Second, it had a lock on it. Third, I couldn't access the previous floor where my stuff was. 5 trips to desk

Fair prices & has cameras but didn’t like that the parking lot is always crowded with uhaul trucks & makes it very difficult to load and unload. Old squeaky elevators & very crowded inside the place.

Chose5x5 unit because larger units constructed of open fencing material, like cages.They lacked privacy(belongings visible),didn't seem secure,fencing material could easily be cut.Didn't fit my needs.

There is absolutely no customer service here. Any time I asked Yolanda a question, it seemed like I was bothering her. The facility is clean and secure, but they need to work on service.

This location is extremely understaffed. The location is small, and it lacks basic coordination. The workers did the best they could with the limited manpower; ALLOCATE MORE PAYROLL!

The hours are really hard to make when you work in Los Angeles. The hours are only 7 to 7 on week days. I know other storage facilities open much later. But other than that it is good.

I used u-haul to transport a ubox from RI to los angeles. Trying to schedule unloading of the ubox took about 2 hours of my time and multiple phone calls. Staff were unprofessional at this location.
