I was given a U-Haul van that was not already 3/4 of a tank filled with gas. My phone had died as I try to take a photograph of it so instead of leaving the parking lot, I decided to go into the building and informed them that the car was missing gas. Once inside instead of updating the rental sheet or offering me a new U-Haul van they told me it was not a problem and that I only needed to fill what i used. (Which was less than a quarter tank of gas.) When I brought the van back and filled up the tank to almost 3/4, because I had accidentally purchased too much to refill it. I brought the van back and was then told that I was going to be charged an additional $25 for gas because the van was not filled all the way to the three-quarter mark. Then after trying to tell both the manager and the man inspecting the vehicle the same situation over again I was given a lecture By the man inspecting the van about how the manager was going to yell at him for not properly inspecting the vehicle, because the van was not filled all of the way. Not to mention as I first walked into the building to even purchase the van how casual the two employees were one being on his phone the other one clearly on a phone call because she told the person that she was going to help a customer. So if you guys would really ask me if I would refer this location to anyone? The answer is absolutely not. What I would in fact recommend however is a training course in customer service.

Please have more staff on the weekends. There was one poor lady who was doing her best but there were multiple problems and it took 1 hour for me to get keys to my van, even though I had checked in online. Also, I was charged for furniture pads but never received them and now I have the hassle of getting that charge removed. Thank you! Elaine

The back of the uhaul storage compartment was dirty and smelled bad , in all honestly I believe someone slept inside the uhaul overnight in their parking lot . I would make sure the uhaul is inspected and clean for each customer.

This morning we rented a 10 feet truck. When we arrived to our destination we noticed that the two front wheels were almost flat. we immediately went to a gas station an filled air to the tires. On the way back we had to stop and put air to the tires, because they were loosing air. When we arrived back to U-Haul, we asked the manager to give us a discount for our trouble. The Manager flatly refused. This is not right. It is not our fault that we received a truck with almost flat tires.

I went in person to this location yesterday afternoon to reserve a cargo van for yesterday evening at that same location. The reason for that location because that was where my storage was at as well. When I arrived yesterday evening, the sale lady who I reserved the van with yesterday afternoon tried to have me reserved at a totally different location and she tried to act like she didn't remember who I was as well. Her shirt said owner on it. And trust me, she didn't make a mistake or anything like that. I kept wondering why I kept getting calls from the other location she reserved my van at. This lady who claimed to be the owner of this facility had plenty of van, too.

The AC on this truck was not working and it was really bad taking a trip to LA without AC When I got to California to Los Angeles I told them that the AC was not working but they didn't seem to care.

The lady that helped me out, to the guy that brought my vehicle to me deserve a well deserved praise. First, the lady at the desk was multitasking, phones ringing, customer service recovery, getting me a van. Finally, the guy who brought the van out made sure I was good to go and when I got back he made me feel welcome. I would definitely come back to this location. I scheduled an 8 AM self pick up. The truck I had reserved was blocked in and I had to wait until they opened at 9. The location gave me an extra hour no charge but that was all for holding me up for about an hour and a half.

It seemed like the storage process was not very secure. They had people offer to help unload that don't work for uhaul, which was helpful, but went up the elevator when I got distracted and all my things were inside elevator. Could have gone in my things. Does not seem secure.. also wanted to add that the truck handled very well, was pleased with it. One thing I did not like was getting several emails a day even though I kept refusing them about carting a locked trailer. Would never do that ( could b drugs or something). A bit annoying. Overall u-haul seems like a good company.

No one was wearing a mask. Not inside. Not outside. The two who were working didn't even have one around their neck. One of the employees was wearing one for a moment then slid it down for the remainder of the time I was there. I waited 1 hour before I got my keys for the pickup truck. I then had to remind the employees that I still needed my dolly. Waited another 20 minutes. Awful. Not only will I not be returning to this location, I will never use Uhaul again.

- Store did not have proper tools we needed for our trailer rental. We had to purchase our own tool over $60+ - We specified our drop off location to be in Arizona, yet our paperwork still said Los Angeles. This caused multiple additional calls to be made to Uhaul customer service. - If there were another company out there, I would NEVER use Uhaul ever again! EVER.

This isn't the particular location's fault, but it's extremely frustrating that I booked a one-way truck, then found out the day before my move that that “wasn't available.” Then why allow me to book it in the first place. Unreliable reservation systems that pull the rug out from under your plans is VERY BAD SERVICE. WHY WOULD I USE UHAUL EVER AGAIN?

This was by far my worst moving experience and one that could have been avoided/made less stressful with clearer communication and assistance. I chose this location based on the U-Haul website upon searching for a specific climate-controlled storage space. This location showed as having only 1 left, so I called the 1-800 number immediately and made the reservation for it, noting that we needed a truck as well, referencing the one-month free. Upon arrival during moving day (where we then had to take the rest of our stuff with us on a two-hour drive), I noted the deal to the staff member who flat out said it would not be honored as it didn't apply to our rental (even though we verified everything over the phone). Not only that but our rate was different than what we were quoted, even though I had a confirmation e-mail with our reservation and rate. This all seemed suspicious but we had to get going with the move, so I resigned to having to deal with it the next day over the phone. I was then given my key card and tried to get to our storage room. Our key card didn't work (the rep told me it takes a few minutes -- but it ended up not working the whole time). When we got to our floor, it was hot and damp (clearly not climate controlled) and the storage did not match what we saw online. Instead of private rooms, they storage areas were cages where you could see everything inside AND the chain linked fences had openings in them. I looked at the receipt the staff member printed out for me and it said "No Climate". At this point, it was a comedy of errors. I went back down and even the staff member said this was all wrong but there was nothing she could do. We finished our move, reluctantly leaving our stuff in a cage without climate control (luckily we sold our refrigerator last minute the day before, otherwise it would be in there now). As directed, I called the GM the next day to try and have this amended somehow. Though Yolanda verified that we actually did qualify for the one month free, there was nothing that could be done about the change in reservation. Apparently, even though you reserve ahead of time -- it is still on a first come, first serve basis IN PERSON (which makes no sense, why would you show on your website that you only have "1 left" when making a reservation; that implies you are snatching up the last available spot for that specific category you checked off during your search -- in our case, climate control). Yolanda apparently honored our initial rate with a monthly discount to match (though we have yet to receive email confirmation) and now have to wait and see if a climate controlled room opens up, which we then can only confirm in person. A move is stressful already and was only made more so by a flawed reservation system and lackluster staff that, while friendly, failed to make things right during our move. I would not recommend this storage facility (or U-Haul for that matter) to anyone.

I was scheduled for the wrong time, misquoted the delivery time, and called by someone every day two weeks before my move asking why I wasn't there to pick up my box. The usual 9 day turnaround to deliver my box became two weeks with no warning. I used u box for a similar move in 2015 and the service has gone so far downhill that I won't use this service again.

Arapahoe St location was good, but overall experience was terrible. Originally I've scheduled the truck at the different location, which was closed when I have arrived there without any notice. At the same time I've booked movers through your website and they were supposed to arrive in less than 40 minutes. I was rebooked at another location (Arapahoe St) and had to go across the town to get there. As a result I was late and had to drive more. It also required additional costs of ubering, time, gas and traveling, and screwed up half of my moving plans. The customer rep wasn't very helpful nor apologetic and just told me that I will be given $50 credit. It's a bad customer experience and I will go with a different moving company next instead.

Again, this was not my original drop off location, but after so many problems with agencies closing early and all the problems i had in Tacoma, i insisted on dropping at an actual U Haul location with U Haul employees at the location. The check engine light came on for 2 days and i tried several times to call for help. Spent a total of 4 hours on hold.

Multiple system errors making it hard for both customer and staff and I feel like I spend days on end on the phone during my whole Uhaul experience! Also I was not notified when boxes arrived and I was told to wait for an email or confirmation that the boxes arrived but no email and I waited from Friday which was the day it should have arrived and until Tuesday when I just had enough and then I was told that my Uboxes arrived after my phone call on Friday! Which frustrated me because I moved into my apartment on Friday! And as I said multiple system errors and loads of frustration and finally after booking there was no trailer for the day booked. Luckily we could figure it out a day before but with loads of additional errors in systems.

On my rental contract - the date the truck was due back was Tuesday 8/25. Upon returning they notified me that it was actually do back Monday 8/24 by noon and I returned at 3. They charged me $40 for returning it late when the contract I had stated Tuesday 8/25. Not a good customer experience.

Overall the van I used was clean and in good condition but it didn't have gas. I did the check in all online and it took them 20min to give me the key. The guy that was helping upfront helped another guy first when I was clearly in line.....I had called 2 hours before my pick up because I wanted to know if there were storage units available and I was on hold for 20 minutes... I would probably not use this location again.

The man at the front desk was incredibly rude on multiple visits I've made to this location. I drove approx. 5 miles in the Uhaul van and he tried to charge me 61 dollars because they "had to refill half a tank". I told him it was impossible for me to owe that much considering how little I drove it and he said it was my responsibility to have "taken pictures of the gas gauge before and after" despite no instructions to do so upon checking in. They ultimately still charged me for 14 miles which is still incorrect. I will NEVER be going here again and will dissuade others from doing so as well.

Super helpful and professional. Would recommend mentioning to customers that the 10' truck back does not lock without a separately purchased lock. Had to stay by the truck when loaded because we had only rented a van in the past, which locked contents safely. Otherwise, they were perfect!!

I returned my car on time after hours. However, the receipt showed I didn't return until the next day 8 am. And charged double price and make no sense. They didn't explain the detail how to return the truck after hours, especially for the first-time renter. That would be terrible experience to me if the case is not processed properly.

The hours are really hard to make when you work in Los Angeles. The hours are only 7 to 7 on week days. I know other storage facilities open much later. But other than that it is good.
