The lady i made the reservation over the phone did not said nothing about leaving a deposit (should have told me about it, before i arrived at Pickup location). When i went to pay in cash for rental fee, they said i had to pay for a deposit (i had to get more money, in order to take the trailer). It was a big inconvenience.

I had to fill the tires with air myself because their machine was broken. The attendant handed me a dollar out of his personal wallet to cover the charges. Sloppy and annoying.

Consistent communication-different associates should NOT give different answers to the same question. Managers should be sure of their answers before giving empty promises. Ex) vehicle features, drop off location process

We were completely lied to by an employee at this location who told us that the drop off location she had us choose was a 24/7 drop off when it indeed was not. We got the the drop off location after driving for 15 hours to find out that we would be ticketed and charged if we left the U-Haul at this location. This issue has given us so much stress and disappointment and was not handled properly by the employee at the pick up location or the customer service representative over the phone.

When I pulled in, I parked in the drop off location and stayed in my vehicle as the signs indicated, waiting for assistance. After waiting for 15 minutes with no one showing up, I walked in. I thought that maybe they were just really busy with people inside. This was not the case. I walked in and saw the saddest bunch of employees manning the location. None of them were busy with tasks, just slouched in their chairs, shooting the breeze. I stated that I needed to drop off a trailer and they said that they'd meet me outside to unhook. The employee sauntered outside like she couldn't be bothered and just stood where I was supposed to back into with no direction given as to if I needed to turn left or right to correct the trailer angle. After parking the trailer, she asked if I could unhook the tongue as she didn't want to mess up her nails as she had just gotten them "did" U-Haul as a company hires some pretty incompetent people. If it weren't for them offering trailer rentals, I'd never use them. This isn't the first time that the customer service at U-Haul has left something to be desired, and I'm certain that it won't be the last. The unfortunate thing is that this was at a corporate-owned location, not one of their independent agents. So it is a poor reflection on the company, not just the people that they choose to carry their equipment.

I've rented from Uhaul often. This visit my reserved truck was not available for rent because my mother's personal storage unit in Virginia had a $399 balance that I wasn't aware of (she died in February 2018). So after waking up early to drive the 4 hours to Raleigh to pick up my reserved truck to help my son move, I had to spend an inordinate amount of time on hold dealing with different people to pay my moms outstanding balance. The 10ft truck I reserved was not available (charged for next size up). The hand dolly I reserved was not available. The staff was ok, but could've used more help. I'm sad to say that Uhaul wont be my 1st option in the future.

Have competent individuals employed at your business. I called to change my reservation and it was changed however I was not informed that it would not be extend the return time on the vehicle. So I had to get another sized rental truck. Upon my return, there was several people needing to be served with one sale person working. I tried to use a credit (vip) for this rental from a previous poor experience with your company and the young lady did not know how to help. I had to call customer service while in the location. I was there to compete my transaction for 45 minutes. I am very disappointed in another poor experience with Uhaul. I will not use this company nor recommend it to anyone I know. returned the vehicle and driver accidentally locked the keys in the truck. Uhaul worker in yard said not to worry about it and that he would take care of it. Got a phone call an hour later asking me where the rental was and that they needed the equipment and that it was late. i told them it was returned. they said it was not checked in. 2 more hours went by and i finally called back and said again that it should have been returned earlier in day. The "yard" worker happened to be inside the office and overheard and said "yes, that was returned a while ago, it's sitting on the side of the building because she locked the keys in the truck". I then was informed that uhaul did not have any spare keys to open the truck therefore it was never checked back in. AND, then i was told that i needed to hire a locksmith to come unlock the vehicle that was sitting in the yard. I was not happy as my co-worker who dropped the vehicle off was specifically told not to worry about it and that it was ok to leave...but i was called repeatedly to return the vehicle and to pay for a locksmith. We are a charity and used the rental to transport christmas gifts from a shopping party at a mall to the Methodist Home for Children which is a stone's throw away from the uhaul rental site. Just frustrated that i had to pay (since it was on my card as i rented it for the agency) when Jeannie Norris was specifically told that it was ok to leave by the check-in guy and that he would take care of it. I know it's busy on a saturday but the right hand should have known what the left hand was doing and MHC should not have been charged when we were told to leave and that it was ok, it would be taken care of.

The location and staff were excellent! However there was an issue this survey does not cover. I called 2 hours prior to my arrival to ask if an appliance dolly was a available. The guy answering the phone insisted on taking all my information including a credit card to hold the reservation even though I didn't want to reserve at that time. He said just to call back and cancel if I don't need it. Upon arrival at the store, the person helping me could not locate a reservation on the system. What happened to my credit card information I provided in the initial phone call. This is worrisome. If there was a rating for the reservation experience I would be giving 2 stars.

Customer service is worst then I have ever seen, this entire company does not care about customer service and will never get my business again. I will advise all military personnel at my military base to avoid Uhaul. Go with Penske or Budget.

When you tell the customer to match the mileage of the truck with the paperwork The employee must go with the customer to check mileage together and make sure they match....

It took about an hour to get my rental. They had to switch the equipment out three times for various reasons. Eventually I left with a rental that I had to put extra gas in because the gas and mileage didn't line up but I didn't want to wait another twenty minutes to deal with that issue. They were busy but also not staffed appropriately. The staff in the front office were great, they worked as quickly as they could and were friendly. One women was clearly doing the work of about three people. I wouldn't recommend this location because it doesn't not feel like its staffed appropriately for how busy it can get which means long wait times.

The contract I was presented did not accurately reflect the fuel level in the vehicle. I brought this to attention to staff and was told to take a picture of the fuel gauge. I suggested they take the picture, since I expected they would rectify the situation. I couple of hours later I received a call from the manager challenging my assessment and that since I had not used the link sent to me to report the discrepancy, there would not be a correction. I told him I would be returning the vehicle shortly, and would discuss it with him then. Before I returned the vehicle, I received a call from the manager apologizing and said he had been misinformed. I put gas into the truck, returning the truck with more fuel in it than when I received it. I had driven the truck a total of 10 miles. On a previous rental with this site, I was given a vehicle with significant discrepancy between the actual fuel level as HD the level indicated on the contract. I did not notice this until I went to get gas, but I accepted that I would have to make up the difference since I did not report it before leaving the rental property. LESSON LEARNED.

Simplify check in experience, the drivers license photos and confirmation of a secondary contact can all be done when the reservation is made rather than waiting for pickup.

The only problem I have is on the return. I think it’s wayyyyy to much to do. I do t think I want to go through that ever again.The only reason I don’t give it a bad review is because the location I picked up from had some really nice people there very professional.

Don't bother pre-ordering packaging materials... the store did not pull the order in advance to save time as it was represented... so, when we got there, we had to hunt/pick the items we ordered on line. Also, carefully check the inside of the van/truck... we ordered/rented 12 moving pads... there was only 1 in the van. Finally, the van/truck had less than 1/2 of a tank of gas to start with. We were driving over 7 hours that day and had to find a place to fill up before we even got started... just a hassle.

U-Haul AC flooded our unit. U-Haul apologized, moved us to another unit then increased rent. U-Haul also had problems with processing monthly payments, and keeping information updated.

Pretty decent unit, though the building itself smells. The grounds are rough with lots of neighborhood construction, yet they've continued to raise rents. Rent raises were my biggest issue.

The only feedback I have is the facility and anything stored there smells like mothballs. However, I never saw insects or evidence of rodents so I guess that's the trade-off.
