Customer Reviews

No improvements. The construction made it a little hazardous. But, all in all, the service was good. Thanks for your help on such short notice

Stop marketing your bait and switch strategy: your website and commercials list a truck for 19.99, we had the truck 4 hours and were instead charged 69.99 of Add/l days????????????? The onsite person could give us no explanation. Also tried to charge us for blankets and dolly we did not ask for or need, we had those removed HORRRIBLE, will share this with everyone I know that your listed prices are a total fabrication.

Due to road construction on Capital Blvd., the location isn’t the easiest to access and is bit cramped but the outstanding customer service makes up for any difficulties getting into the location. The owner, Danny, was very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. He seems to genuinely care about his customers and have their best interest in mind. The employees were also friendly and helpful and made things easy for me. Overall my experience was better than expected and I would definitely use this location again and highly recommend them.

The location at 1702 Mechanical Blvd in Garner, NC did not have my reservation fulfilled. On top of that the employee that was working was on his phone and was not very professional. Instead of helping me find another location to fulfill my request I was told to call U-Haul myself to get help. This will probably be one of my last times renting from U-Haul. However the employees at the Capital Boulevard location in Raleigh, NC were great to work with.

This was the simplest quickest rental I've done in years.

The staff were extremely helpful and attentive. We went to the wrong location for pick up and one of the staff called on my cell phone to find out if we were still interested in renting the truck! Then they held the truck while we headed over to this location! Also, the bathrooms were very clean. G And the return process was very quick and efficient. Great U-HAUL!!!

The checkout procedure is pointless it's like living in 1995 I answered every question online only for them to ask me exactly the same question again in person so what's the point of doing anything online it's seriously the long as process 15 minutes to check out a trailer and doing everything online so there's 3 people waiting to run something 45 minutes that's ridiculous you haul you need to step it up you your process is just archaic so much paperwork you need to streamline it

Employee met me in parking lot. Processed electronically. Inspected trailer and had me park in desired location. In and out in 10 minutes. Great!

Everything was great.

I had to drive from Newport News to Henrico to get the truck in order to make the trip to Raleigh. Since none of the local U-Haul places would provide a truck for my use, I should have been given a discount for the mileage from the point of pick up back to my home. Why? My travel points were Newport News, VA, to Raleigh, NC. I received a $99 charge for mileage that covered Henrico to Newport News.

This company attempted to double charge my credit card even though I clearly indicated I DID NOT AUTHORIZE the extra charge and explained the duplicate charges. Why should I even take the time to complete the return process in the app if the comments won't be recognized?!

Detour on Capital Blvd made it difficult to get to, also past another uhaul facility on the way to this one before the detour.

Your service has always been excellent. I have rented from U-Haul multiple times.

Have used this location for looks very nice... Employees very helpful...van was from Colorado...could have Used a brush-out & wash...only 6,000 + miles on van which Was good...had a different van ready for me (probably was Cleaned, however when I asked about mileage, the other was Chosen)...your questions should be more employees clean. .etc..I called the day before turn in hoping To extend a day, & was told everything was booked...virtually I would have kept the van an extra would have been Helpful....I’m fine...although there were other vans sitting in The lot upon my return...these are good people working here In this RALEIGH location...working hard...they deserve an “Atta boy...Atta Girl”.....Thanks. I rented moving help which cost $170. The movers never contacted me. I called 6 times, left 4 messages. Never heard from them. I want a refund. This is a scam and unacceptable!!!! I will never use these services again.

Lower prices

The van I was assigned showed a 'low tire' warning light when I first turned it on. The attendant attempted to fill it and said there was a bolt in the tire. The one he brought wasn't ready to go out (5/8 tank, not serviced). It took 1/2 hour to get out of there, and I'd booked online to avoid delays. I drove to my location and on the way back into town, had a flat tire on the interstate. (Had gone 40 miles). Called local U-Haul numbers on contract (no help number on the papers I was given with 2nd van) and told I needed to call national. After an hour and national couldn't find anyone to come help, called local back. They said they would send a new van but told them the one I had was loaded, so they said they would send someone to fix tire. I asked if we had to stay with the van since we were 10 minutes from home and was told yes. It was mid-90s and the entire process had us sitting for 2 1/2 hours with the A/C running--using up gas. It was now afternoon, hot as blazes and the new tire read "low pressure" so we gave up on moving everything we needed to and turned the van in early. The attendant told me he had to wait for the manager to tell him how to check me out since I'd had problems. It was now about 100 degrees and I'm standing in the parking lot. I finally went inside and asked how much longer it would be and was told there was no manager there, and I could leave. I have no idea how much this van cost in fees as I never got a receipt and would appreciate hearing from a customer service person soon!

Lots of construction going on in the area so location appearance not great (but also not Uhauls fault as far as I can tell...)

Prompt, efficient service when picking up and dropping off. good overall experience.

A renovation of Capital Blvd. would improve the experience of this location, but I suppose that isn't something the employees can fix themselves.

Nothing. Everything was perfect and Mr. Bland was professional and very courteous!
