The staff on pick up day, were horrible. They looked like they had literally just rolled out of bed. Didnt know the answers to any of our questions. The truck they gave us was dirty inside and we had to ask twice for them to clean it and they bickerd over who had to do it. The second time my husband went inside he caught them speaking negatively about a customer that was there as well. The staff the next day we awesome. They went above and beyond for not only us but to the other customers there as well.AUDRA V.

The van was so dusty and the windows were so dirty we had to wash it before use. I think completely relying on customers to check in the van relieves the employee of the duty of the job. Come on at least take a water hose to the outside of the van. The previous renter must have stuck the passenger seatbelt behind the neck of the seat so the seatbelt couldn't be used for safety. Meaning that person didn't want the seatbelt across their chest area so they put it behind the neck of the seat it tightened and can't be used for safetyâ€¦ that should be something to check before rental that the seatbelts are working properlyâ€¦. No matter what the cars should be washed regularly simply because lancaster is a dusty place and it's good businessERNESTO K.

The trucks sliding door kept getting stuck at the top. There was no way to pull it down because the latching lever wouldn't allow it. You had to move it with a stick. The first time it took me 20 mins to unlatch . It happened before to someone else because I could see where the top of the door was damaged with people having to do the same thing I did. I'm sure someone reported it before and the truck was still rented out. It happened to me a total of three times. I didn't need this in the middle of moving in the heat. The gentleman said he was going to take the truck out. I hope he does.FLOR D.

Hire more employees. There was 1 person working the counter and this same person was the one who went to hook up your trailer. It said on your website to "skip the line" by entering all your information online. Wrong I still had to wait in line after entering all my information online.James T.

I first went to the uhaul location on palmdale Blvd to pick up a truck and the truck had a flat tire and nobody to come and fix it right away. Then having to check in and out online was horrible. I could not attach any of the photos of the preinspection and then when I came to drop off the truck it couldn't see my location and that I was there to drop off the truck. I'd rather deal with a person face to face and have them go thru the inspection with me. I hate that everything we do now a days is trying to go mobile.NICOLE S.

When I dropped off it was 7:58 Friday night. The lady inside the office turned off the lights and exited the back door. They were right next to where I was dropping off the trailer. They didn’t even say good night and drove off. I left the trailer and took pictures for proof. You can check your numerous cameras on my story. Staff wasn't commented to promise of a storage that was made on a upgrade to a larger unit. I cancelled service after 4 days an use another storage facility that was able to get the size unit I needed. When the manager at uhaul had promise me it was available unit. It is impossible to go online to do any business with you if you don't have a password. Hence it takes at least 20 mins to get thru to a human to do anything. You need to fix this glitch to be effective at all. When I tried to access change password it got lost in space.VICTORIA T.

The location needs more workers. Also - when we returned the truck they charged us for 130 more miles then we drove. Thank goodness I took photos. I picked up the uhaul on Sunday aug 1 am. Hispanic lady was still in a bitchy mood from waking up. Lady in front of the line asked her â€œcan we come inâ€ since it was 9 sharp- completely ignored her. Twice . I was at the end of the line so if I heard it you know she did too. No good morning nothing! The black lady was nice. Guy was nice too. You need to make sure this Hispanic lady starts her shift at 12 so she can leave that attitude behind. Your staff there has zero personality. The girl at the counter at 7am in 7/30 barley looked up from her computer. When we return the rental she never spoke to us or the person behind us in line. Not even a single eye gaze or â€œI will be right with youâ€ nothing. Terrible customer service. The other employee was on her personal cell taking. The entire time she was checking the return. You used to have great staff but these two really need to be retained in customer service.Tabitha S.

At Uhaul we replaced trailer because light are not working. Employee decide to check with their tester and found out it the trailer issue. When I got home, every moment I yank the trailer light flicker. I found the grounding problem & secured it. Suggesting that technician should be checking them thoroughly for the next customer. Make sure equipment is road-worthy and safety equipment is safe was not happy with the trailer I got one of the straps broke and the hook on the chain came off almost lost my vehicle on the road called and complained and got disconnected twiceJORDON F.

Most everything about the facility made me comfortable with storing my stuff there. It seemed secure and the climate control is a plus. The door to the building was broken though and so moving furniture in would be difficult, but they said it would be fixed that day.Jennifer F. | First Impressions

Stass were great. The only issue I had was the app. It didn't let me upload the pics of the damages on the truck. It kept saying there was an error uploading, but the staff asked me to just take pictures and that I would be okay. So I took pictures and told the staff about the scratches and bumps on the truck. Staff member very rude and unhelpful. Lack of professionalism and courtesy. Unwilling to accommodate or fix issues if Uhaul online reservations makes a mistake such as renting a truck at a specific location for a one way but then when you get there they only have a round trip truck available. Now everything is sitting outside of their storage unit with no truck. Its either wait to see if one becomes available and move everything back into the storage unit or pay the extra $100 in mileage. Staff completely incompetent and rude. They did. It have the appliance dolly I reserved which was needed and showed no concern. Also, they didn’t supply the paid for furniture pads nor the other dollys I paid for. The truck was completely empty and employees has no concern while they were hurrying to count their money draws to leave for the day. The real kicker here was I was told they also didn’t have available my reserved storage space needed to move all of my items (the purpose of having the truck). Then when I leave with the truck and open the back up at my location. There was NO equipment. No dolly no pads. Nothing. I am seeking compensation and damages. I had a paid crew ready with nothing to load the truck with and no where to bring it. Worst customer service and lack of integrity I have ever experience in a company. The day I was moving my things into my storage unit, I had trouble accessing the unit because the pull-down door was off track. The first thing I did was request assistance. I never did get assistance and I had to leave. I came back and the problem wasn't resolved. Although I tried more than 10 times, I could not reach anyone by intercom or by calling the store's phone number. My phone call finally was kicked over to an overflow line (I think) and this woman tried to help but was unable. I finally went up to the u-haul store and asked for help. After going back to my unit I waited another hour to get help. For my inconvenience, I was given a free lock for my unit. The only problem was that my storage unit was never locked. I had to go back up to the u-haul store, get the lock, go back to the unit, and then lock the unit. Very frustrating experience. I'm a patient person and I know it was very busy this day.
