I would recommend this location because it is convenient. I would not if they asked if I felt like a valued customer. I have used this facility before with wonderful experiences. This past time, the truck was dirty and damaged and had grafitti on the dashborad. When I mentioned this to the man working at the counter he said I should talk to the manager when I bring the truck back. I told him I would be right over. When I got there the manager had just stepped out. When I then called later her response was, "then why didn't you bring the truck back for a different one?" We were on a time schedule and the truck did work although the bumper was falling off and the steering wheel had a chunk missing from the rubber cover, it smelled like smoke and felt grimy. But it carried our merchandise. The manager said she would look it over and get back to me. I still have not heard from her although it was Friday morning and it is now Saturday night. Not the usual service I expect from UHaul.

Your manager/associate Dawn was fantastic. She explained all of the options for both the truck rental as well as the storage unit. She was very personable and was very helpful. She never made you feel rushed or pressured with any of your products. I would give her an A+ in customer service skills. Businesses could use more associates like Dawn.

Disappointed how long it took for my move out request to get processed especially because I got charged late fees and got sent an email saying I was late on my payment despite moving out and sending out request before rent date.

Put more people working on the same shift. The two that were there clearly had attitudes that did not translate into good customer relations. One was complaining about the job and the other one was very short with customers...clearly did not want to be there and made customer feel like a bother....

Your contactless pickup system at this store was a terrible experience. I made a reservation for 7:30am as a contactless pickup knowing full well that the store does not open until 9am. U-Haul.com allowed me to make the reservation anyway. I arrived at the store at 7:30am only to find out in the app that reservation was set up for in person. I called the 800 number and they confirmed that this was not the case, I had indeed setup up a contactless pickup. Upon further investigation, they discovered that your system told them there was not a key to give me for my truck which caused this issue. Of course the person on the phone couldn't give me a new key. My question is, was anyone going to call me and let me know that I was unable to pickup my truck at 7:30am? I was told to come back at 9am to get a key, when I arrived, the local U-Haul employee had to change my reservation in order to go through the mobile “contactless” pickup. At the very end of the process you still have to come in and get a key from any employee. This process should not be called contactless pickup, there is nothing contactless about it. If I have to come in to receive my key from an employee, it negates the contactless function. I will be considering other options in the future for my moving needs.

Very nice helpful staff (met at least 5 members all great), clean new storage unit, contents same condition as when we put them in after one year, no signs of pests, would recommend. We had a small unit in same building as office.

Truck did not feel safe, going down the highway the truck was swaying, the steering was very "loose" as if I had to keep turning the steering wheel to the right and left to stay straight, way too much play. I will not use that truck again.

Customer service wasn't professional. I've never rented an Uhaul before and the young man walked me outside gave a dolly I requested at rent time of uhaul, saying the one I rented wasn't available. Then pointed to a line of trucks and said that one is yours. I said ok he said make sure you do a walk around. I put the dolly in the truck. And didn't give me no instructions for drop off. Very very unprofessional at this location.

It was an awful experience. I set my pick up time to 8am and I guess the worker never set up the 24/7 pick up the night before so I waited a for hour to get my truck. No compensating nothing.

We had a hard time steering the trailer in reverse. Would be great if it was explained. But it was our fault we didn't ask also.

First of all the guys at the counter were cool but sat on their phones 90% of the time I was there. Second we get in the truck and it's filthy. There was cigarette ash all over the place and exposed razor blades just all around the truck. Then when I get back I only used 1/8 of gas tank. They said it will be $10 fill up charge. Which is a gimmick but I said ok. Check my card I was charged 13.50 extra. Poor service poor facility

I was appalled by the condition of the van that I rented. It was filthy. It smelled of cigarette smoke and had cigarette ashes. Shame on U-Haul in the middle of Covid that this van was obviously not disinfected. If it was disinfected it was a poor effort.The manager never apologize for the condition of the van. She in fact blamed me for not coming back into the office and getting another van. I was running late and there were people waiting on me . I was picking up materials and Paying helpers to unload the van.

Fantastic Staff. The staff answered any question about renting and the use of the 10' truck I rented for the day. Everything about the renting a vehicle from the UHaul at 740 N Broadway, East Providence, RI 02914 was a 5 star experience.

The front right tire had low tire pressure. Double checking this before the next rental would be good. Overall, great experience.

When we reserve equipment in advance and are told the day before that it will be locked in the truck, then it should be in the truck when we arrive to pick it up. It wasn't, though, so we had to wait two hours for the store to open to get the equipment we reserved. Also, the truck was dirty, had been defaced by a previous customer, and was so old that it had trouble going up even small hills with nothing loaded in the truck.

There was an issue with the electronic entrance to my unit for the first 2 months of our experience, which meant I could not access the unit after 7pm, which did not adhere to the posted schedule I had signed up for. I brought it to the attention of management and they said they were working on fixing it & apologized for the inconvenience. But upon asking for some sort of bill reduction, I was told they’d have to ask the facility head. Ivory ever got back to me & I was given the runaround a few times. That’s not right. Not giving me access at times outside my personal work hours really resulted in a terrible experience. Additionally, I showed up 10 minutes before the office closed one night & asked the staff member in duty if he could help me get into my unit as my card wasn’t working. He said he couldn’t because he was closing up. Again, awful customer service & completely inappropriate foe the staff member to value their closing over a customers needs while they were still open. While the door issue was eventually fixed, it was too little too late. We’ve since moved to another facility in the area & are having a much better experience. Unfortunately, I don’t see myself ever using UHaul again.

Well my reservation was for the Pleasant st Uhaul in Fall River. The truck I reserved was not available for me at the time. Which in turn sent me to East Providence. So now I was charged for the extra miles and fuel. Not happy about the situation..

The staff at the East Providence, RI location are excellent, providing excellent customer service. Dawn went above and beyond to help me when I arrived it was noted that the call and reservation center did not send my storage rental information to them so they could get my ubox out of storage so I could have it transferred to a storage unit. They also gave me wrong information about what a split level unit is; luckily once again Dawn at the site location saved me from climbing stairs to get to a unit. Very unprofessional of UHAUL Call Center! If not for Dawn who went out of her way to get my ubox out from being buried among other uboxes, I would have been out $200 for the movers I had arranged. Thank you Dawn!!! As for the UHAUL Call & Reservation Center HORRIBLE SERVICE!!! The storage facility at East Providence is clean but two things I didn't like: 1. street level storage units have very low ceilings, smell damp and there is no lights so the units are dark. 2. there is no elevator for above street level storage or split levels which is ridiculous!! don't know about lighting because I didn't look at those units.

Staff is super friendly and helpful. If you make a reservation online for rental or storage, be sure to contact the office location directly. Online service doesn't always communicate with the pick up location. This makes everyone's job that more difficult and time consuming working out the details. EP location provided above and beyond customer service. Shout out to Dawn for her incredible customer service.

The truck I used had obvious transmission issues, also I was charged 25 cleaning fee for putting the blankets back in the blanket bag. I was told that they were going to waive the fee and they did not.

The trailer chains were very long. The quick-links were thread-locked tight. Never adjusted. They just twisted the chains untill they barely dragged. I tow a boat every summer, and I know this is totally unacceptable. I personally redid them, in the rain. adjusted the quick-links properly, and tucked up the remaining chain using my own caribeeners. These quick links were so tight with the thread lock, I can confidently say they have never been adjusted. Twisting the chain will weaken its breaking strength, causing a severe safety hazard.I explained this to the drop off site as well. They need retraining at the rhode island office.

We rented a 26' truck. The windows were dirty and the check engine light and the oil was on. Spoke to the u haul rep and she said it was a sensor and it would be fine. Luckily we did not break down. !!!

The entire process was easy: on-line reservation, quick pick-up, the right size truck for the job, quick drop-off. The rental facility was neat and spotless, and the GM (Dawn) was helpful and pleasant. Who knew renting a truck on a Saturday could be such a great experience!

The lights in our hallway where our storage were off. Was told to walk all the way down for them to turn on. Didn’t happen and had to pack most of it in the dark. Every other hallway had lights but ours. Rang the assistance buzzer multiple times and no kne answered or came.

I was told that automatic billing was set up at the time of rental start and when it came time for the second months rent we found out that it wasn't set up correctly and we had to pay a late charge

I was surprised by the size of the unit. The website states it can fit three bedrooms. I believe this is true if you have small furniture. I had to purchase two units to fit a two room apartment.
