I was very impressed with the young man at the counter, he was alone and there was a line of people and had to get people's equipment ready. He remained calm, friendly and was on top of things. I was very impressed by him. All the staff here were friendly and helpful! The store area is very clean and well organized. My only issue is that I wanted to rent a pick-up truck and a trailer. I had put that on hold and thought it would be ready when I got there, but instead, the very same young man I mention above, had to go out and hook it up. It turned out that there were issues with the truck, so there was a lot of time wasted for me to get on the road. I spoke later with a manager, who kindly explained that they don't get things ready ahead of time because customers often do not show up, and then they have to undue the very work they have done. I still was disappointed that I didn't end up with the system I wanted - but I did get a truck and it ran well, was very clean and had A/C. The freezer unit I was picking up had to be put on it's side/back, which I wanted to avoid, because it is not good for refrigerator's not to stand upright, but we did get it from point A to point B in the long run. And the kind staff really made a difference.

they're a little unfriendly there but hey, it's a hard job and I understand they're under a lot of stress. maybe UHaul should pay their employees more, and thus incentivize their friendliness to customers.

When I set up my appointment, it was originally for this location, then it got changed (both time and location) to a very inconvenient spot. Luckily for me, that appointment went awry and Uhaul automatically changed me to my original place and all's well that ends well. Carlos and Rosa were friendly and extremely helpful. THANK YOU!

I initially scheduled a contactless pickup in East Providence. When I arrived, the correct UHAUL was not there. I called a customer service rep and was told to drive to another location. I hope that UHAUL will double check all contactless pickups in the future and avoiding subjecting their customers to contact with other people in the midst of a pandemic. Furthermore, the inconvenience of having to switch locations and speak to someone about a rental in person cost me a couple hours the night before my move.

I was over all happy with my experience but did have one thing that bothered me. When I first walked in I was completely ignored. It would have been nice to be acknowledged...even if just to say I will be with you shortly. It was awkward.

I am typically not the type of person to complain, but this is now the second time I've rented here and had a horrible experience. I attribute some of it to the app, but also some to this location. In this time in the world, I preferred to reserve online, then pick up using the app so I did not have to go inside. I arrive 10 minutes before my pickup time and did not receive the key until 40 minutes later. The app asked me to put it in a bunch of information that I already entered when I reserved online earlier. When I arrived and attempted to check in, there was an issue with one of the steps, so I went inside. There was one employee inside, not wearing a mask (though there is a sign by the entranceway that says you must wear a mask to enter) and there is no plastic/plexiglass separating the employees at the desk from the customer. Another customer entered and stood behind me in line without a mask, which no employee enforced. I waited for about 10 minutes, then decided to take another try at the app because didn't seem to be much progress at the front desk. I entered 2 contacts that U-Haul could contact to verify my information. The first person did not answer and I asked them to call the second, to which the employee in the chat function asked for the name and phone number (which was entered when I checked in with the app - that's how they got the first contact's number). Once that person answered and was verified, I could complete the check-in process via the app. The last screen is a green circle that directs me to “skip the line” and head to the side of the check-in desk to ask for the key by telling them I completed the check-in process online. Two customers were being helped, so I waited patiently. Another customer entered and although I had been waiting, one of the employees called this new customer up to be helped. I excused myself and asked if I could please get the key. That same employee, avoided eye contact with me as he proceeded to take the customer outside (the exit door being right next to me) to look at some equipment. I was floored. I waited another couple of minutes before then asking the other employee if I could simply get the key (it was now 25 minutes after my reserved check-in time and 35 minutes after I arrived). Though I told the employee that I checked-in using the app and that I was prompted to show the employee the green circle and ask for the key, she began the check-in process on her computer. I watched as she verified my license and then she told me that although I used the app, they need to verify everything and call my alternate contact. I told her that that was already complete, and she appeared confused. She was able to then check me in, which her customer (who was there before I arrived) was not happy about. I apologized for being anxious and explained that I had been frustrated because I completed the process and had been here for 40 minutes. The employee did not apologize or validate my experience. On

The lady behind the desk did not have her mask covering her mouth and nose - we were 6' away however if I had to have one on she needed too. The windshield on the inside was filthy and I didn't notice until I was driving home into the sun. It was white spots.

Rented 20 foot truck in Taunton Did not have for us. Had to drive to East prov location for a 15 foot Charged us wrong on the mileage charge also. 100 dollars off

I was very disappointed that the trailer I had reserved in North Smithfield was not available when it was supposed to be so I had to travel to East Providence. I am now not sure if I will be comfortable using U-Haul in the future.

Understaffed. Took me 45 minutes to rent a truck even though I was 3rd in line. then another hour for them to unlock my storage because the key was lost. I only drove 7 miles but yet the tank went from 3/4 full to half a tank. By the time I realized the tank was only half full the office was closed and the app wasn't working

I was told to refill my gas to the same level as I found it when I picked up my truck, which was at 7/8, but when I returned it at 7/8, the lady told me I was all set and that I should leave while she took care of previous returned vehicles before mine. After I left I got a receipt saying I only had 3/4 and was charged $15. I sent an email trying to dispute the charge complete with before and after gas gauge photos and was completely ignored. Have never had this experience with U-haul, and will likely use a different company for my next move.
