No windshield wiper fluid on a rainy day. Both outside mirrors had frozen ice on them. Could not use either mirror to back up. I didnt have a scraper to clean them. Guys at ck out were fine.

Truck had less than 3/4 tank of gas I only used 22 miles on truck they said it was full on gas and charged me 26 dollar gas fee makes no sense 22 miles and used up more than 1/4 tank of gas I'd love for someone to explain this lil more no one went over truck with me or anything when picked it up

The truck was really dirty when we got it and the driver's side door was really difficult to close. I feel like it should have been repaired before renting the truck out.

I only have one issue with my rental. The fuel was not full. I never return a rental with Les than I take it and I brought it back with 8 gallons more than it had when I took it. I specifically stated I needed it full when I reserved it.

Very old moving truck. Over 100,000 miles. Sounded like a diesel engine till it warmed up. More bars does NOT equals better MPG. Averaged 9MPG during the move...

They advertise 19.95 a day I want 107 MI I charge $116 for mileage total bill was $194 a hundred mile trip in a few hours

No improvement needed, I looked around Des Moines area at different U-haul dealers, none could give me what I needed, this dealer had what I needed and knew a lot more about U-haul than all the other dealers I talked with. Go here first, they know the ropes. hours are made for self movers, you are wasting your time going to another U-haul dealership in the Des Moines area,

A uhaul was rented in my name by a man who has been stalking me. I don’t know how that could have happened. When I called the location the said he put it in my name and then used his ID. They told me I should contact the police. I don’t understand why uhaul would allow someone who isn’t me to rent under my name. I am very disgusted with uhaul.

I reserved a 20' Truck for 2:30. I arrived at 2:20 my Movers who were paid by the hour arrived at 2:30.. Waited and was offered a huge 25' truck which I was not experienced in driving. I declined. By 3pm the truck I reserved never arrived. I ended up using 10' or 15' truck on the lot and had to make alternate arrangements for items that would not fit on the truck which created an additional expense as well additional payment to the workers. I was very disappointment in the lack of communicatin and the truck that was reserved didnt arrive on time

Better road assistance in iowa very poor.. delayed with my plans when i Spoke to representative for at location told him my situation and it seemed like he didnt care when we asked if we change the trailer Since we haven't used it a due to faulty wiring and he told me that he was going to call and ask a supervisor I had to call him back because I don't know of he forgot about the situation but when I called back he seemed to answer fairly quickly and then I called road assistance the representative or was nice she was nice om helpful billing thing was that she was and if she told me that she was going to get back to me in 30 minutes as well and did take a little bit longer than 30 minutes but she did keep me updated but that location does need training on representatives with their customer service I did not like the fact that the trailer that I rented had 2 tires that were super bald and it's a inconvenience for me to be traveling in for a tired of pop when I would like a trailer to be fully updated on maintenance Because one of the front axles was bent now understand other customers use it but once the trailer is return representatives who help a load the trailer should check to see that the the trailer is is up-to-date on maintenance very poorly on on this locations end.

I did 24/7 online pickup after arriving at 7 am found out that the key had not been left for me. I called 800 number didn’t seem to know what they were doing. I was told my reservation was for the 25th so I gave reservation number and read were it said Sunday January 26 at 6am pick up time. I was then transferred to someone else was on hold for 15 minutes. They tried to find another truck somewhere but there wasn’t any. I had to be taken back home to wait til 9 o’clock opening. Then went back at 9 got the truck wasted gas and time also my helpers had to leave at 2 fortunately for me they were able to change their plans as I’m a 57 year old woman with a handicap. Then as we were loading noticed something black on floor of truck like grease it was slippery, I swept the cargo area before returning it was dirty and even gas a few pieces of broken glass. In the cab there was something spilled in door where cup holder is which I cleaned up.

Reserved a car transport and when I got there there was no trailer. They didn’t have one ready for me. They didn’t even have on there. Then after dealing with that I had to got to a different location to get a trailer. When I got there I had to argue with the works because they tried telling my truck didn’t have the towing capacity to pull the vehicle that I was trying to pull. Which in fact it had plenty and I had to prove it to them then them tried telling that the vehicle was to long which it wasn’t and had to argue with them about that also. In the end it took me 2 hours to get a trailer and made me 2 hours late meeting the guy that I was buying the vehicle from which was out of state ( 3 1/2hrs away)

We were given the wrong truck; a more expensive truck than what we asked for. We were not told how much the insurance would be and we were not told about cleaning fees either. We were charged double the days for an appliance dolly also. Davin is the guys name i believe. Brian corrected the situation as best he could by removing days off the appliance rental and adjusting the truck rental price for the truck we asked for.

I have confirmation of a truck rental using the 24/7 app and I was unable to get my truck till 9:20. It set my whole day off. We hired helpers and I was late to that. We had to continue our move after sunset and it had started snowing. If I had been able to get my truck 90 minutes earliet we would have finished before sunset and much less snow interference.

Live up to equipment guarantee. Reimburse for gas levels significantly higher than what it started with. Fully compensate for difficulties that were directly caused by your mistakes.

My original reservation was to rent a truck from UHaul location in Harlan, IA. Two days before pick up, I was called and notified that Harlan would not have a truck I reserved available. My reservation was transferred to this Des Moines location. Because UHaul changed my pick up location I had to drive additional miles. UHaul charged me for those additional miles at a rate of $0.40 per mile. Despite my request to waive the charges because UHaul changed my reservation, I still paid the additional fee.

The truck broke down, I checked oil, tires, exterior and everything before departure and all was good. I think driving in the mountains may have been a factor as to why it blew a spark plug through the head. Probably nothing anyone could have done. The roadside service was slow in getting us settled. Our Room was excellent.

Customer service was poor. More training and add people to move equipment to the location where it was reserved instead of asking your client to do your work for you. For a simple move I had to go to 4 location. It took to days because uhaul store open hours. Works in the Ankeny store were condescending. We have a long story of U haul experiences. The six wheel carts at the storage unit in Ames was nice.
