Alex HI am completely satisfied with Nick and getting trailer in Eau Claire. (except for trailer had a worn out shaking tire that I was worried about). I am also completely satisfied with the return location in Clare Michigan. I am upset with the U-Haul corporate . I reserved a trailer to be picked up in Hastings Minnesota. I was told I would get a call the day before. We left from Michigan to Minn. That day and I received the call in a area with poor cell coverage. She told me we would have to pick up trailer in Redwood Falls Minn. I could not find where that was as cell coverage dropped out. I finally found out that our pick up location was 130 miles west of where I was told I could pickup- we were coming from the east. I then called corporate and was told there were no other trailers available! We then looked at bigger cities we were to go by and found Eau Claire Wisconsin. I called there and spoke to Nick and found a trailer was to be turned in later that day. So I reserved it. We then went to the Eau Claire location and picked it up. I then cancelled the other reservation at Redwood Falls. Why couldn't corporate find this out for me?? Everything turned out fine but what a hassle!!

Eric PThe starter on the truck has some sort of a problem. The first time I started the truck, when I picked it up from U-Haul, I had no problem starting it. However, every time after that I had a problem. Sometimes I would turn the key and nothing happened. Sometimes I would turn the key and it would get stuck in the full on position, so I would have to turn it back to the proper position. Sometimes it would take multiple attempts to get it to catch and keep running. Once it started, I had no further problem, until I shut the truck off and had to start it again. Secondly, I could not figure out how to check the truck back in online. I went to the website or the app and all I could find was how to rent a truck. I tried looking everywhere to see if I could find it, but had no success. I tried scanning the QR code on the paper work they gave me, but that didn’t take me there either. So I ended up taking a video of me returning the key AND the paper work, like it instructed on the drop off box. Why did I need to return the paperwork? Why couldn’t I keep the original copy for my records? I took. Picture for my records, but it seems like I should have been able to have a copy for myself and not have to return it when I dropped off the key. But besides these things, the staff was very friendly, courteous, and helpful. The survive was quick and willing to make accommodations to fit my needs. So thankful that I was able to come in at the last minute to pick up a truck that fit my needs. I would do it again in a heartbeat. They lowered my stress immediately.
MARY WI rented a 15’ truck and a car dolly. My drop off time was 11 am. I was in the parking lot at 10:50, a staff member came outside and was friendly, I handed him the keys to the truck. I proceeded to get my car off the dolly. Once it was unloaded we walked the truck looking it over and he had to move the truck and trailer as the parking lot was very full. Once I was about 10 minutes away from the U-Haul location I received a text that I was charged more money so I looked at the new invoice and being he didn’t actually submit the paperwork until after he parked the truck and dolly it put me over the 11am check in time, it logged it at 11:14 that ended up charging me another day of use. That is wrong and I am disputing it

KRISTA DI scheduled my reservation for the hastings way uhual location. late the night before pick up, i received a text telling me to pick up at another location. i show up there to find out its a gym on 3rd st eau claire where the owner knows nothing about uhual besides "get the app" and is snarky when i have questions. after an hour of try to talk to him and calling the uhual help line, trying to explain i didnt have a smart phone and need a physical location to get the uhaul, hence why i reserved my truck well in advance at the hastings way location. the uhaul rep on the phone was much less then understanding of my situation, personal convictions, and beliefs but after many requests and getting talked down to by him i was then finally transferred to hastings way, where my reservation should have been all along mind you. when i got to the hastings location everything was easy and people were friendly, four out of five for hastings. but uhual as a whole? zero stars, horrible experience. just off of how the pick up location changed without notice or explanation that there was no in person service, almost leaving me stranded after over an hour in the heat trying to make someone understand my situation. i will never use uhaul again and will recommend any other local moving company besides uhual, to whoever i can.
zach gI have probably rented over 100 times in the last 35 years with military and civilian moves. I can always rely on Uhaul for what I need. We moved into the area 13 years ago, and have been using this location Uhaul ever since. They always have the trailer or truck we need, and have even installed 2 tow hitches. The staff is great, competent, and so friendly. I can't recommend them highly enough. I do have one thing that could be improved-when I rent, we end up getting 5 emails (first is when we make the reservation), and then one after we turn in the rental (which only makes sense). Can you please combine them all or send fewer? I know this isn't done at the dealer level, and I don't want you to think I'm criticizing. I'm sorry I don't know the names of all the staff, but John who installed our trailer hitch today was so nice , as well as helpful. I had some weird questions and he happily answered them and anticipated things I should have asked and told me them, too. Great job everyone!

KAREN HThe man who helped me get checked in and clarify my questions was very helpful. The other woman, Samantha, who initially helped me when picking up the trailer was there when I dropped off. She was not very inviting, and appeared to be stressed out. I understand being stressed, we're all human, but the interaction was again quite rushed, and it was as if I couldn't be helped fast enough to get out. It's a nice location, clean and efficient, but hopefully other staff are available to assist customers.

Lisa WUhaul has become too expensive. I paid over 100$ for gas and then I had to refill the gas at drop off. I think something needs to change . Stop requiring the gas refill or bring the amount gas per mile down. Everyone is hurting because of our government..please be different!

David LFriendly Staff. These trailers are heavy and the fact that there aren’t tongue jacks is ridiculous. I can’t imagine how you haven’t been sued for customers getting a hernia or blowing out their backs lifting these things.
Christopher SJohn was my customer service person. He was incredible. He was knowledgeable, friendly, funny and very helpful in explaining everything. He walked me to the truck, inspected with me and marked some spots that were dents, etc. that weren't marked. I was thoroughly impressed. I've been to this location before and have never had service like this. Congrats John!
Tim CThe woman that helped me was very disorganized and kinda rude at both key handoffs. I also overheard when I was waiting for my receipt (that she seemed upset I wanted) when I returned the vehicle from her coworker talking to her that she gave me a dolly that was never supposed to be given out to customers under any circumstances and was still charged for it.
