Vacated the unit the day before the payment was due and followed all instructions on how to inform UHaul that the unit was empty. On top of that I call several times to confirm that everything was fine. I was bounced around multiple times and waited on the phone for over half hour every time. I called to request my Ubox to empty it from storage a week in advance. I was told I would receive confirmation of when I could access it 24 hours the day before I planned to empty it. I heard nothing 24 hours beforehand so I called myself to confirm and they said I could arrive amy time from 9-5. Next day I receive a call to make an appt to empty it, I requested 3:30 and was told it would be available for me to empty at 3:30. I show up at 4 and the box is not outside for me. I call and they say the appointment was supposed to be made 24 hours in advance which it was made a week prior. The manager needed to come and said she would be there in 15 mins. 20 mins later I call because she isn't there. It was incredibly unorganized and I had to wait in parking lot for 30 mins which was a waste of my time when trying to move, and having to call frequently was incredibly annoying. Speaking with the uhaul company in general was great; they were very helpful and everything went smoothly. The issues we had were at the Elmwood location where our boxes were being stored after the move. One employee we talked to must have been new because he didn't know much of anything. He was very nice but made our experience frustrating. He first could not locate our boxes and kept telling us that he can't find our order. Then he accidentally cancelled our entire second move, so when we showed up to empty our uhaul boxes with our movers, there was a lot of confusion on where our boxes were and getting access to them. I think the location just needs to train the employees better or have them ask for help when needed. All in all, everything worked out so would use againNikitha Y.
Staff was great. General manager extremely professional. My experience not her fault at all. In fact she’s better then the last one you had. She is always available. Just extremely upset that I found a dead mouse in one of my boxes. Had the two unit for two years. To find a dead mouse and mice droppings everywhere!!!! Will never use uhaul again. At first I had a lot of issues with getting my storage facility because when I had originally reserved it, I showed up to the location where I had made the reservation and was told that they didn’t have any available rooms. Getting ahold of someone who could actually do their job was difficult the ENTIRE process. I wasn't charged for the box delivery until 3 days late, I had to call, and they already had my stuff and I had no contract. Additionally, nowhere on the website did it say the Ubox would be delivered ON A TRAILER, being pulled behind a box truck...the delivery person spent nearly 45 min trying to park the Ubox in my spot, and then it was difficult to use because it was raised, and overhung my spot. If the Ubox is going to be delivered on a trailer, that needs to be told to the customer because it changes the size of the footprint by several feet and raises the height for loading. There were issues charging my card for the transportation of the box from NJ to TX, I spent over 2 hours on the phone being told "they couldn't try to run my card again", even though the operator entered my information incorrectly. Then, 2 days later suddenly I had been charged (before I got to the hub 1 hour from my location). The location in McKinney Tx NEVER answers ANY of the THREE phone numbers I was given, and it kept rolling over to the national phone bank...which could not answer my questions, could not schedule delivery, could not fix my address etc. The scheduler in McKinney TX admitted to not only not understanding his job with the Ubox, but hating the process. The process is awful, so I don't blame him. The website is garbage for Ubox, with 4 or 5 different reservation numbers shown as "past" reservations...despite being applicable to my current Ubox. There was no way to access or update payment information online. There was no way to verify total cost online as TAX was not included or calculated and I ended up being charged more than expected...then when I called, the operator could not tell me whether there was tax for the shipping cost...that's something they should know because it would a couple hundred bucks. The ONLY good experience in a month of dealing with Ubox was with the delivery driver Inga from the McKinney location. She was on time, communicated well, and delivered the box WITH A FORKLIFT that made drop off and pick up a breeze. Overall, the system you have for Ubox is awful for both customers and employees. Every single person I talked to struggled with how it worked in "phases" and trying to get anything set up or fixed. This product is several years old now and you don't come close to competing with other companies such as Upack for professionalism, efficiency etc.Seana E.

The overall experience was very pleasant and easy. We got a good value. The only issue we ran into was that we found droppings, probably from mice, on top of all of our boxes and furniture. Nothing was damaged, but it's not a nice thing to see. They were probably getting into the unit from the top which is big enough for them to fit. Aside from that, I did the move out process completely online, and it took a few days to close out. The system told me I'd be getting charged a late fee, but after a few conversations with customer service reps via chat, I was able to get it resolved. No major complaints aside from the droppings, but I understand that's probably due to the building being old. After being an hour late with a window of 11-3, our driver arrived an hour late with 1 of my 2 boxs. I had my movers there waiting which I got through UHAUL and the driver had to go and get the other UBOX which took 2 hrs! My movers time expired and they left by the time the next box arrived. I was livid. The driver also drove over my flowers which I warned him of and it happened any way. Initially I had a bad experience with the request and delivery of my boxes. It took 3 days to schedule and I did not receive my boxes until 9/15/2017 although I requested them to be delivered 9/12/2017. I was charged an extra storage charge for one of my boxes that required storage even though it was already paid. Chris Munoz was awesome resolving this issue for me and handled everything professionally. I wish the rest of the UHaul Staff was as helpful to me. Leo at the same location was excellent renting me a storage unit and answering my questions. THANK YOU. I would suggest you automate the UBox Service to allow customers to make requests and confirm scheduling. Your current method is very inefficient however, this has the potential to be a great service.Karl B.
