The only issue I had with the whole rental experience took place when I returned the truck after hours; the myuhaul.com website was down. I parked the truck in the uhaul padoing lot and dropped off the key in the keybox and went home to try the return remotely using the Wi-Fi. The website loaded successfully but there is a point where it asked to scan the location barcode located at the entrance door of the store, which I didn't know I needed for the return. I ended up sending an email with the picture of the gas mileage and gas tank, but it would have been a lot easier if the location barcode was posted in the website and/or facebook page.Ivan H.
The charge for gas wasn't cool. What they put in the paper for the beginning amount was incorrect and what actually was in there werent the same. When I brought it to their attention after the fact, they said I should have filled out everything in the text before I left the premises. I didn't know there was a text. There was no instruction in that way. Idk if I was charged for the torn blanket or not,because I didn't get a receipt before leaving, but the blanket was torn when we got it. I should have been able to review an itemized receipt before accepting a verbal quote at the end. This wasn't professional and I still don't know how they came to the end quote. I didn't argue with the guy at the end as it was clear that he wasn't budging and was not empathetic. He was also not giving me any papers so what could I really do but say ok?KRISTIN G.
The mileage went up one mile literally as I turned out of the lot so that felt like a cheap extra dollar! The lock was also frozen to get into the cargo hold to get the keys in the morning so that was hard to open. Also the truck was basically blocked into a area of the lot so it was hard to maneuver out and just costly for gas and mileage. But the vehicle did the job, no real complaints.Jordan O.

The guy who received the cars and sign off, is a pain in the rear. His service is pathetic and totally unprofessional. The clerks from inside are the best ever.Nick U.
I dropped of the trailer and the attendant told me that they would send the receipt by email. No problems expected. When I received the email, there was an addition fee of $15 for cleaning. There was no cleaning needed. The back of the trailer only had the furniture pads that were rented. Don't trust this place. If you rent, stay until you receive the receipt.MICHAEL M.

I had a nearby business, for many years I used to rent trucks from this location, Adam and Dave were two of the best guys ever. This was not a great experience. U-Haul was not helpful with the process at all. My ubox was extremely delayed (2 weeks) and U-Haul didn't notify me at all. It wasn't until I called to check the status, 2 days before scheduled arrival, that someone on the phone casually told me it hadn't even shipped out yet. When it did arrive (after the SECOND guaranteed arrival date), I wasn't notified until the day after I was supposed to receive it. Finally, when my ubox was released to my movers in Lafayette, they charged the wrong card with $895, causing my account to go in the negative. Luckily my fiancÃ© was able to send me the money that should have been charged to his card, but I incurred a $14 transfer fee. Also, a few of my things were broken upon arrival. It was a bad experience and I wouldn't recommend or use this service again.Tracie D.

I have dealt with the people running the Dempster location for many years and in different contexts. The are uniformly inefficient, disengaged, unhelpful and generally surely.Anne P.
I have rented about 10 vans in the past three years or so from this location and they have always been good. My experience today put such a bad taste in my mouth that I may not go back. A ridiculous amount of verifying in 10 degree weather. The van use came back from an earlier rental. I was asked to take photos of any damage to the van before leaving. I was also asked to verify the mileage and gas. I was told there was a 1/4 tank, but it was below that. The van was dirty and had a fair amount of snow, road salt and slush to give it a proper look over. I was instructed to follow these prompts, but I got to a point where I couldn't take any more pictures. When I went back in the store to dispute the gas level and the verification, the manager told me not to worry about it and to return the van with what I thought the gas level was at. What was the point of having me do all of this b.s., if it really didn't matter? Very frustrated with the â€˜newer manager'.Daniel C.

To Whom it may Concern This company has to go through a MAJOR training for their staff. They don't care about customers' service or their job, horrible, horrible, horrible on-site service, no pride in their work. I have rented u Haul different times different places over the year, same nothing has changed. I always rent from HomeDepot Penske several times a year. This time didnt have any trucks available and that how endup at u-hal. Im willing to talk to someone about my experience. 773 742 6728.
