I have rented about 10 vans in the past three years or so from this location and they have always been good. My experience today put such a bad taste in my mouth that I may not go back. A ridiculous amount of verifying in 10 degree weather. The van use came back from an earlier rental. I was asked to take photos of any damage to the van before leaving. I was also asked to verify the mileage and gas. I was told there was a 1/4 tank, but it was below that. The van was dirty and had a fair amount of snow, road salt and slush to give it a proper look over. I was instructed to follow these prompts, but I got to a point where I couldn't take any more pictures. When I went back in the store to dispute the gas level and the verification, the manager told me not to worry about it and to return the van with what I thought the gas level was at. What was the point of having me do all of this b.s., if it really didn't matter? Very frustrated with the ‘newer manager'.

To Whom it may Concern This company has to go through a MAJOR training for their staff. They don't care about customers' service or their job, horrible, horrible, horrible on-site service, no pride in their work. I have rented u Haul different times different places over the year, same nothing has changed. I always rent from HomeDepot Penske several times a year. This time didnt have any trucks available and that how endup at u-hal. Im willing to talk to someone about my experience. 773 742 6728. I did not go into the store. I just dropped off to personnel outside. Staff was very friendly.
Didn't have all the equipment that I ordered.(furniture dolly). But they could sell me one! Ordered two packs of blankets. Only used one and they would not refuund me the $10.00. Must not get much repeat business, at the least not mine!
Gentleman who greeted me and checked me in was very friendly and patient with me. I don't have his name handy but please thank him for me. Also, the gentleman that received my returned equipment was very helpful and polite. He was so efficient and went through everything quick enough since it was freezing cold. I truly appreciated that!
Clean the truck. The fuel level droped 1/8th after driving one mile. The amount of fuel in the tank was inaccurate

Adam showed great customer service skills. Had a minor problem ( the location) 1st. the store was closed and the only drop box I seen was an regular unlocked mail box for store; however, the u-haul representative later on that night quickly gave another location. Thanks so much for Swift representative that get the job done. 2nd. Location given the male representative was very hospitable.
U-Haul of Evanston has upgraded its service and now operates very efficiently - especially when checking in the trucks.
Quote was written up wrong resulting in surprise charges when returning. I waited 10 min and had to enter the office to get someone to check in the van when I returned.
the Uhaul website was not working. But i knew the team at this location would take good care of me and they did! Even though some payment terminals weren't working, the front door wasn't working, the agency's app for Uhaul wasn't working well. The agency team is great! I did NOT use uhaul. The order has nothing tondo with me. I called and reported the issue. I was told my email was removed from the order, and yet I have been receiving information about this rental all day. I will be checking my credit cards to be sure you have not falsely charged me. Omit the pay by mile requirement. This was not made clear during the booking process, so it felt like a sneaky surprise. Also standard car rentals do not charge by mile. If I knew sooner, I would've chosen a more convenient service with a different company.
